As someone who easily gets intimidated by commercial gyms and weight lifting, I sought out a way to…read moreprioritize fitness and strength training in a more personalized way-- that's how I found Method Fitness. Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.

Looking for a gym experience that is shepherded by a highly-skilled trainer, perfectly aligned with…read moreyour fitness goals, and not steeped in testosterone? Look no further! I love Method's take on fitness: they recognize that everyone has a different fitness journey, that fitness goals vary, and that getting healthy is a process. By working with Adam and Nigel, I've learned that changing my body composition and dietary discipline has to be habitual, and that success is related to consistency. They've also taught me there is no magic pill, no fantasy workout, no fancy sweatmore sweatpants that are gonna burn my fat, lift my butt, and sculpt my arms; only my hard work will achieve those things. And that the hard work is WAY worth it. With Adam and Nigel's guidance, my weekly workouts have progressed hugely over time. I've dropped weight, changed my body composition, increased my cardio capability, and am strong as hell. Worried about Method being way too bro-tastic for your tastes? No worries there. Amahl, the owner, does an incredible job curating a team of trainers that is dedicated to a healthful lifestyle and are super fit themselves, but somehow lack the macho-man-cool-story-bro gene. Worried about Method not being hardcore enough for you? No worries there, either. These trainers are SERIOUS. I see some of the trainers' personal workouts while I'm coming and going in the space - and their strength, ability, stamina, and discipline AMAZE me. Super inspirational. Couple other plusses: the space is clean and beautiful, parking is easy peasy, there are always fresh towels to wipe your brow, and spring water is provided to quench your thirst. In short, integrating Method into your fitness routine is nothing but a good thing. You'll get where you want to go faster, with better knowledge, and with great guidance.

I was visiting Massachusetts over Christmas and was looking for a weightlifting gym where I could…read moretrain. Mary answered the phone when I called and invited me to come by. Im super glad I was able to find this place! When I got there, she warmly greeted me and made sure I had everything I needed, even asking me if the music was to my liking (it was!). This is an extremely well-equipped weightlifting gym with 8 full size platforms, Olympic bars, bumper plates, power racks, blocks, and chalk stands. Thinhs were super well organized, even down to the order to the plates. Throw in a few Hookgrip / ATG / USA Weightlifting banners and I was good to go! The first thing Mary had me do were some overhead squats on a vibrating plate to loosen up my muscles. Afterwards, I got on the platform and did a few snatches with just the bar. She mentioned there would be a class soon and, not wanting to miss out on coaching, I gladly agreed to take the class. Mary was super attentive and gave her full attention to watching each lifter perform the complexes she programmed. Each lift was videotaped on an iPad, and between lifts, Mary reviewed the footage with me 1 on 1 to identify issues with my form. I could see exactly what she was talking about, and fixing these problems really helped me extend and catch more confidently. Needless to say, I absolutely love this visual approach to coaching, and her advice was very easy to understand. I only wish that I had more time to spend at this gym. Their drop-in rate is $20, or $30 to drop-in and take a class, which I think is very reasonable given the quality of the coaching and how nice the facility is. I'll definitely be back to visit when I am in the area again!

I love being a member of this Y! First of all, it's really big and it took me a long time to get…read morethe run of the place. I'm still finding new rooms and amenities that make my membership really worthwhile. Most recently, I discovered the 18+ women's locker room, which is separate from the regular women's locker room and it is absolutely wonderful! It's pretty quiet in there, and it includes vanities, hairdryers, a pumping lounge, a sauna, changing rooms, and lockers. It's a very comfortable space for women, which I can really appreciate! I'm also a big fan of the yoga classes here. Tuesday night's "gentle yoga" is a great class with a fantastic instructor. I always look forward to going! There is a little bit of the spiritual aspect of yoga thrown in, but it is not too much. It is mostly focused on the yoga itself. And while it is a slower-paced class, the instructor will suggest ways to make a pose more challenging. Thursday night yoga is also a good time, and a great workout. It feels more like a fitness class, but it still retains that zen yoga energy. There are also day-use lockers that do not require a separate lock - just entering your own code - next to the yoga studio, which makes storing all my stuff really easy. There is also a lot of workout equipment! There is a good variety of machines for cardio (I love the cardio mezzanine, it's such a nice space overlooking the weight room) as well as for weights. When I do not want to workout in the weight room, I can go into one of their gymnasiums and use the free weights in there as long as there are no classes going on. In general, the Y is pretty clean and updated. The only exception is the regular woman's locker room. The staff have always been kind to me and very helpful when I need something. As for parking, the lot gets pretty hectic. It's on a somewhat busy side street off of a busy main road. The lot itself is tight and strict about the use of the parking pass. Overall, there is a lot offered here and I have always been pleased with my experience here.

Then after we got that to kind of clear out he got severe nasal and congestion infection which caused green Mucus and he need breathing treatments from the hospital. At this time the Director and I had a conversation and I expressed my frustrations. I spoke about what was the Cleaning procedures in the classroom at the end of the day. I started to pick him up and only then did I start smelling bleach or sanitizer when i picked him up. The teachers in Ms Brittany's class are young so I asked what certifications they had or do they have children of their own which I never got an answer. I told my daughter it was time to take him out. The director asked her to give them the opportunity to prove themselves to be trust that there would be no more illnesses. then about a month later he got pink eye !!! Now im really upset but my daughter says Mom you might be right this place is Not experienced enough. Now a month later he has a skin infection on his skin by his private area which we were told it is contagious and transferred by changing one child and not washing your hands or using gloves during changing time . It is clearing up THANK GOD but i worry about the scar it might leave in his skin . He will NEVER Return to this Place ever Again!!! I just want people to know that our experience with this Daycare is HORRIBLE. If your child has this same issue with Brittany's class it will not stop being a Problem. I Urge you Parents to ask about Change time and what illness are children still able to attend with illnesses that can be contagious. My daughter has to work and I had to stop working to take are of my grandbaby. I care about children and wanted to let Parent s Know your child will experience illnesses that could have been Avoid with Clean a sanitary routines . He is getting better and we are looking for a MUCH Better and Clean Daycare . HAVE LEADERS WHOM KNOW WHAT IT IS TO KEEP SICK CHILDREN SEPARATED OR STAY HOME UNTIL FEELING BETTER. I THINK THEY NEED A better DIRECTOR WHO KNOWS HOW TO KEEP Kids healthy and Happy everyday. I have pictures of every time he got sick ,the affects are pain he endured . I would NEVER recommend this Daycare to ANYONE

They have a women section only which makes me feel safe! Booking to attend the classes are done via the app, which is easy and simple. The app can show you how many people has signed up too! Morning sessions are better than evening sessions because they are not as overcrowded and are smaller. Same goes for the gym itself. Rush hours are 6-8am and 3-6pm. I'm lucky enough to have flexible hours and work from home that k attempt to avoid crowds. Gym anxiety is here is average for anxious friends out there. I had only a couple of bad experiences like being told by an instructor that I cannot wear my noise canceling earbuds. I was so overwhelmed because i was called out that I ran out in tears. I was brave enough to speak to a trainer who I worked with briefly and they helped me greatly in letting me know the actual rules here. Trainers are very kind and will help! Be mindful that regular X classes are instructors not employed directly by the edgy gym and don't always follow protocol or get a bit power hungry? Or set up their own rules I guess. The trainers who work at the gym and are way more helpful and will find ways to help you in any aspect. Be brave enough to ask!
