I'm trying out my free 14-day pass (thanks to Yelp!) and I'm a fan so far. It's a little small and there's no track, but all the machines are new and it's a really nice facility. I wish the staff showed me around a little more, but I don't mind exploring these next couple weeks. It's a plus that the facility is 24-hours, but that doesn't apply for people using the 7 or 14-day free pass, only for registered members! I like the location as well, it's located in the new shopping center on South Main with the Ann Taylor and Sake House. read more

Love this place! It's never really crowded, the machines are maintained and there is a cleaning person in there every morning . I've belonged to another gym in town and it is always filthy! No, it does not have a track or group clasess,but I didnt use that anyway. I do like the spinning video class a lot and do that often as well and the other cardio and weights. The staff is also very helpful. Oh and they have the cleanest bathrooms !!! read more

Been a member here for over a year now. I love the facility and the amount of equipment. The floor space is just enough to not make it feel like a huge gym. I've done workouts here during various times of the day: morning, noon, evenings, late evenings, and just before dawn. During the peak hours of 4p-9p, you still don't feel crowded. Don't sign up for this gym unless your sure you want to give away 30+dollars a month for a year. I picked the account that costed more each month but I could "cancel any time " and I defiantly could not. I went there and tried to cancel and they said I couldn't but i could pause it. So I agreed. Then they charged me with a fee for pausing it. Just saying if your someone starting out and unsure don't go here not worth the regret later on. read more

I love this gym! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and willing to help you adjust by explaining technique and equipment whenever asked. The gym really has everything you need (other than a track and a pool), and if they don't ask them and they will definitely consider ordering it for you! The equipment is brand new, and the entire gym is kept very clean. The only reason I'm not giving this gym five-stars is because 1) there aren't any group classes. There are video classes available, but you just don't get the same community feel that you do with live, group classes. I wish they offered some sort of group fitness-related activity a couple times a week, as I think it is very beneficial and encouraging to promote a fitness community-feel. read more

My husband and I were members there for 2 years. We just recently moved and trying to find a new gym. We find ourselves comparing it to Anytime in Blacksburg. The staff is awesome and it is always so clean and neat there. The convenience of having a 24 hour gym comes in handy when you have a busy schedule. We miss this gym! read more

THEY DONT HONOR THEIR OWN 7-DAY PASSES! New to Blacksburg, wanted to check out the options, so signed up for a 7-day pass online. Since they are 24 hours, I went midday on Sunday to find the building locked and that they are not staffed. I was left standing on the sidewalk with another potential client wondering why restricted guest access hours as well as the nonstaffed hours weren't posted on the website. I returned two days later for the tour/try-out only to be told that they are not honoring the 7-day passes. When I asked why would you allow people to sign up for somethinf youe not honoring, I was told they have no control over their website. So basically, it's a bait and switch, and if you want to try it, unless your prepared to buy a membership dont waste your time or gas money for that matter. read more

Pretty good gym for the area, but they need some work. 1) they need appropriate signage stating gym etiquette. There was a lady in her bare feet on one occasion and on another a customer was saving several different machines and weight equipment. 2) There is a certain female employee that seems to flirt and talk to several of the regular customers, which is fine, but they are taking up 2-3 machines/weights a piece and they stand there and talk to her for 20minutes at a time. They can talk after they are done working out. 3) I have seen on several occasions the above female employee neglect walk-in customers looking to tour the gym and potentially become members. I would be very frustrated and demand a free month or two if I were to sign a contract at all. read more

I love this gym. I'm just now starting my fitness journey and I just feel so comfortable in here! There is plenty of machines and I'm never feeling like I'm waiting or I'm taking a machine from someone else. The staff seems to be super helpful if you have any questions or concerns about equipment. This is not a uncomfortable environment with a bunch of meat heads. This is a environment where everyone seems to be super nice and if you need help with a piece of equipment they will jump in. A trainer there named Dillan advertises that he can get good deals on supplements. Being that he works for Anytime Fitness I trusted him with my money... HE RIPPED ME OFF!!! No supplements, no return on money, and he's avoiding my calls. Terrible reflection on a national chain. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more
