This is a great gym for the price. Very affordable! The people are friendly and it has all the free weights and machines that I need and I am an avid weightlifter and gym-goer. This is a very comfortable place to work out and has everything you need. It even has tanning and personal training. It's open 24 hours a day and it doesn't have the people walking around shirtless and slamming weights all over the place that most other gyms have. If I could leave no stars I would. The location is convenient if you live in the area but over all the place is a shit show. The machines are older and run down. From the last 6 months I've been going I'm pretty sure the only time they get cleaned is briefly after a workout by the people using them. They don't answer the phones or respond to emails/voicemails. Once I decided this wasn't the gym for me I had to go through the fraud department at my bank to cancel after months of reaching out. I love everything about this place and it's definitely the best fitness center around for a lot of reasons. The staff and owners are really nice and very knowledgeable. I love the fact that I can visit the gym literally anytime (hence, the name). It's NEVER closed. In fact, I think I got bored on Christmas night last year and ended up working off my holiday treats with literally no one else in the gym... It was like I was in my own garage! Just plain awesome. They have a great selection of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. AND of course anytime tanning that comes with your membership. It's always spotless clean and the members are all ages and all fitness levels. Intimidation would never be an issue here. The owners own the Buckley and Orting locations and I've worked out plenty of times at both. They both rock. In fact, I think I'll post this review on both locations. Also, with your Anytime Fitness membership, I love that I can visit any Anytime Fitness location around the country for no extra charge. This is great because I travel often. The staff are very friendly and remember your name when you come in. It's always very clean and machines are well maintained. The atmosphere is good! Other members are always friendly (or keep to themselves). I love that the tanning is also 24 hours, I work graveyard shift and being able to tan at 2 AM if I want was a main reason I signed into this gym. In the past I've preferred gyms with classes, spas, etc, but this gym is right in my neighborhood and prices are good. I do wish there was more freedom in changing the TV channels on the treadmill. Most people can handle the 'first come first pick' method of choosing whats on, but being mandated to watch ESPN, FOX News, all the time is kind of lame. A small complaint though about an overall wonderful place to get my fitness needs met. Also! I have been to every kind of Gym and this one is my favorite. Its open 24 hours and its always clean and nice. Its never crowded because its open all the time especially in the early morning when I go. The staff has always been wonderful to me and helpful. Everything you need in a gym is here. There is only one bathroom stall and shower in the Mens side, but the gym is never so crowded that it becomes an issue. Equipment is always clean, available, and functional. Free weights, cable/pulleys, and some machines in addition to the various cardio equipment. They even have a tanning bed if you opt for that package. read more

I just want to say this will be my second time joining Anytime Fitness in Buckley. I had to take a leave with new twins born, and life just became more hectic to keep going. When I was a member a few years ago I loved the facility. It was always clean and very nice equipment. The staff had always been very nice (thought I mostly went during after hours) and I don't recall any members that were annoying. I have been in gyms most of my life 40+ years and I have my pet peeves when trying to work out. I don't care for heavy perfume or cologne, loud grunts, meatheads, equipment hogs, and just plain inconsiderate people. I mention this because the experience I had with this gym are people who want to work out and have always been polite. Its not a social gathering place and I have seen all levels of fitness with its members. It is an overall inviting place to work out. The gym itself is a little (tight) with space, but I never had a problem with finding room to exercise. Keep in mind that most of my workouts were at night time so crowding wasn't an issue. When I did get to workout during the day there was always also plenty of room, so the only issue may be going during peak hours but again I never saw that and it was always plenty of room for me. As far as going there after hours that was a great experience. This was the first gym I've ever gone to where I could work out after midnight. There were some times I went there and I was the only one in the gym. I never felt uncomfortable and the parking lot around it is well lit. When it came time to end my membership I unlike (Pam G) below had a great experience in canceling my membership. I was a member during this same time and when it came time to cancel I gave my notice and it was done. So why am I writing this review now being I was a member so long ago? I just renewed my membership and once again had another great experience with this business. For the first time I got to meet the owner Cathy (and Gucci) and she is what every privately owned business should be. She was polite, helpful, and very understanding to my needs. She earned my business on the spot because she clearly values her customers and understands that it is only good business practice to take care of her customers. Its a shame more and more businesses are not this way. The other staff member I met was very polite as well and immediately acknowledged me when I walked in and began to help me. I walked around the gym with Cathy and could see the equipment has been very well maintained even after all these years, and the overall appearance is very clean and inviting. This is a great gym and its review by me has been long overdue (also I wasn't on Yelp back then) Hope this helps with anyone trying to make up their mind on joining. Also I was member of another gym close by, and my negative experience was spot on with its reviews on Yelp now. Anytime Fitness IMHO is the best gym in town, hands down !!!! read more

I was excited to get a membership at this gym because there aren't many options in the area. My own fault completely, I didn't read the fine print of my contract and was stuck for a year. Never had a gym do that before if you paid month to month. But ultimately, my bad. The gym itself is not impressive. I was told when I enrolled there would be group classes. Not sure if there are classes now, but they never had any while I had my membership. There aren't a lot of options for free weights, or space to spread out. This gym requires you to bring your own towel, yet still costs $45 per month. This was confusing to me as I paid less at 24 hour fitness and was given a towel each time to wipe machines down and had tons of options for group classes. Not handing out towels left machines dirty as not everyone brought their own towel. There are NO lockers. There are cubbies that are open to the entire gym. You want me to put my wallet, keys and phone in an open cubby while I work out? It gets better as these things are fairly simple to remedy. When my year came around I decided to cancel as I was pregnant and just walking (and the weather was good). I canceled via the email provided on the answering machine as this location does not have staff 24 hours. I received a return email from the manager accepting my cancelation of my membership. He explained to me that I would still have one payment at the end of the month. I let him know I understood and he assured me my membership would be canceled after that payment. Three months later, I am still getting automatically charged for my membership. I have left multiple messages and emails attempting to get someone to call me back and credit me my $130. Because of the lack of management and professionalism here, I will have to go in and have a face to face. So disappointed. read more
