Misleading sales tactics and terrible customer service. I came in for a free pass I saw advertised and was pressured into signing up after being told I could cancel and get some money back if it didn't work out. That was not true. When I tried to cancel, I was told I missed a 3-day window that was never disclosed--and I was even blocked from canceling sooner because they don't process cancellations on weekends. Staff was rude, dismissive, and took zero accountability. After reading other reviews, it looks like this is a pattern. I've escalated this and will be filing formal complaints if it's not resolved. I ended my membership in April, followed all the rules, in June I was continuing to be charged and told I'd get a refund. I've been in there 3 times asking about it. I quit going there because it's dirty and doesn't feel safe. I prefer to go to the YMCA that's clean & not as ghetto. read more

The worst health club by far that I have ever been to! Lies and wasting of my life and time about texts sent to my phone after quitting UFC. I deleted and reported them as junk, etc. and you still send them. I eventually even went back into your Puyallup location to get them stopped and talked to a worker who said that was a area of company BS that UFC seems to think is a good business model. The lady manager here is always rude and it's no wonder they can't keep their own staff, or even members. It's not even like lack of manners type of thing, or service, it's just pure aggressive personality, and I don't care attitude. Even when I asked a basic question about some of the amenities, this specific person would basically have this aggressive demeanor. Even their employees sitting there laughing because it is so normalized. Such an off place in so many ways but this person specifically is the main reason I will never be a customer here. read more

If it was possible to leave zero stars I would!! The female manager, Savannah, is so rude! Had a membership for one month and told a front desk lady we are done with our 30 day contract if there was anything we needed to do? She looked up our name and told my spouse and I we were good. 3 months later and still have roughly $175 coming out of our account every month. Manager over the phone made it seem like they could try and get us a refund since their employer made the mistake or at the minimum give us some free months at the gym. Had to talk to Savannah for a refund and from the very beginning of our conversation she had this I don't care attitude. Telling us it wasn't her fault, there is nothing she can do, and we couldn't remember the employers name (obviously didn't know we would need to) and told me I had a "description that didn't fit any of their employees" while she just stared at me with nothing else to say. She wouldn't even budge on the "free month at the gym" like the manager on the phone said since it wasn't our fault. After this incident I now see all these terrible reviews the past month about horrible experiences on canceling memberships. Telling our friends/ coworkers to not bother with the place. Looked like all new staff compared to back in the summer, with that attitude of hers no wonder they can't keep employees. read more

Gym-cation, don't mind if I do! Visited Puyallup to surprise my best friend and he's big into fitness courtesy UFC Fit so I had to join him while I was there as I do enjoy a good workout and have been a tad more consistent this year. I looked at the website and was able to sign up for a guest pass or so I though and was contacted by Gabrielle aka Gabby right away. We exchanged some messages before I showed up with my bestie and his husband the same day. I respect that each location sets their own rules and regulations as well as offers and being the only UFC Fit in Pierce County this location does not honor the guest pass feature which is good for up to 10 days, which is how long I was in town. Gabby being the flexible cool person she is offered me a deal of purchasing an item or items in their merch shop, behind the front desk, upon entering for a minimum of $60 since I planned to be in at least half the time I was visiting... They currently have a "deal" of a $22 a day pass so really by going 5 times I saved money... Sure Jan. I am curious how much of a day or more pass would apply to a membership had I been a local or Washington State resident... From the little I know I don't believe a pass is applied and it's basically like sign up now or after this day trial... Which can feel very peer pressure like. The facilities are immaculate and most of the machines work fairly well with the occasional glitch via cardio equipment. They have tons of TV monitors with sports and local news as well as a great sound system. I didn't get to enjoy the indoor pool, but I can tell you it's perfect as are the basketball and racquetball courts. The dance studio which is open to anyone when not in use for a class is very enjoyable as well. The Locker rooms are massive and some of the best I've seen. If not for the complications with locations picking and choosing how to deal with guest and guest passes this would easily be a solid five by five experience. Saw lots of people training over the weekend UFC style as well as with military. Thank you all for your service. Will probably be back in the area twice more before the end of the year, but unless they update their guest policies, I most likely will detour to Anytime Fitness or LA as each has an amazing 3 to 7 day experience for guest and I've been a member of both. Would've considered joining a UFC Fit location local to me and just putting in my member info when I visit other cities and states, but it's going to be a pass for now. Recently sign up for this gym, so far it's has been a good experience. The gym is a bit busy at times but not too bad ! Allison was very helpful with our membership, offering us the best deal. Would recommend talking with her about your membership! My boyfriend and I had tried only the killer cycling class. The instructor, Stephanie was very engaging and energetic. Especially for this class being at 5:30 am. Overall really enjoyed the class and would definitely do again! Since I have only gone for a little while, this is all I can say ! I did take off a star because of a little bit of miscommunication with my membership. Everything did get fixed very easily though! read more

Been going to the gym for three years, never missed a single payment. Finally had the time to cancel since I moved further away. I come in on a Sunday and they tell me cancellation is Monday through Friday 9 AM to two 6 PM. The manager was the one I was talking to and she wouldn't even budge on even putting an inquiry. Not happy with how they treated me. I brought them multiple customers throughout the years that continuously go to the gym. Definitely terrible customer service. read more

I have to say, this is probably one of the worst gyms I've been to. Overall, the layout and amenities are nice, but the staff really make the experience unpleasant. I went in for a tour and was pretty much pressured into buying a membership. They told me the two prices they presented were the only options: one was around $800, and the other was a $163 down payment with $65 monthly payments. After all that, I checked online and found much cheaper prices. When I called to ask why the online prices were different from what they offered in person, they gave me a weak excuse about charging more in-house, which isn't clear at all and isn't stated anywhere. I feel like I was scammed and lied to when I went there, so I immediately canceled my membership. Despite canceling, I'm still getting constant emails. read more

Only lasted at this gym 2 months and it shoulda been less, Horrible Customer service they hire Teenagers and are rude AF while customers paying 150$ a month and when I went to voice my concern over the way the treat their customers for paying 150$ a month GM said "we have over 100 members that pay that price", as if I took a shot at his ego instead of correcting his employees actions, don't waste ur time here, top dollar charge for bottom dollar service, Also Gym feels like is barley open even tho they advertise being a 24 hour gym, crazy but they are just trying to save $$$ let's be real or they would be 24/7. Also read a lot of the reviews that state their membership Cancellation was not honored I'll update here in a month to let you know if they try charging again membership is still open for 3 and a half more weeks but i will not be showing up there anymore disappointing gym. They will deflect all problems to make it seem like u are the issue when we all know ur employees shouldn't be disrespecting ur customers and you use "Memorial Day" as justification. I have had a terrible experience at this gym. I have the top tier membership and most of the amenities aren't usable when I go to workout. They claim to be 24/7 but are open 24 hours a day, ONLY 4 days a week. They charged me a few days after starting my membership. When I approached them about it, they knew about multiple members being charged twice but didn't say anything. After they said they'd refund me, which never happened, they said they'd comp me for a month, but then I was charged again for the month they told me I wouldn't be charged. I've given them multiple opportunities to make it right, with no outcome that I feel like is reasonable for the situation. Personally, I'm not comfortable going to a gym where the business practice feels slimy and unprofessional. An update to this situation, I further reported them to the BBB and they never responded. I am so disappointed in this gym and whomever is running it. Save your money and your time and go elsewhere. read more

Before I even stepped in the door I was texted by the GM who told me that even though none of the "amenities" are even on the website nor included in the difference for any of the memberships if you don't get there expensive membership that's 90 freaking dollars then you can only use the weights and not the sauna,pool,or basketball court. I have never seen a gym have you sign up just to tell you ohh yeah by the way you can't use half the facility unless you go from our 20 dollar membership to our 90 dollar membership but just so everyone knows you have to pay 90 dollars a month to use there sauna, pool, and basketball court which at that price you might as well go to La fitness or 24 hour they charge less and at least they tell you upfront what you get instead of waiting until you actually sign up to make up rules they have no where on there websites read more

I don't do a lot of reviews because I know people can have off days, but this ordeal has been dragged out for months. The gym truly is nice, but the customer service truly is lacking. I have been signed up with this gym for a couple of years and have enjoyed the times I have stopped in to work out. After I ended up moving and switching jobs the drive became to much to work into my daily routine as I actively pay for two other gym memberships that are closer to my house that I use 5 days a week. I expressed this to the staff in multiple phone calls over the last few months, but they kept reiterating that I would have to stop in person to cancel. That's all well and fine even though that is a pretty bad way to do business, and it keeps people enrolled so they can continue collecting payments. Where I have the serious issue is after finally making it in between my 6 day, 12 hour work weeks, I am told that since I canceled 21 days before the next billing period they are going to pull another payment from my account for March. I tried to cancel for months prior and physically could not make it into the gym in person. I have gone to UFC fit maybe 5 times in the last year compared to going 5 times per week at the other two facilities I use. But they have collected my 85 dollar dues like clockwork and are now going to collect another payment, and i quote, "You can still use the services for the next 21 days" after I told them I've been trying to cancel via the phone because the extra round trip drive of an hour doesn't work into my schedule. I literally just told them why I haven't been using this location. Then, on my cancelation sheet, they put my reason for canceling as not going. Implying that I'm not working out, and that's why I'm canceling, which is not the case. In addition to that, when I arrive, I am told I will have to come back because only the general manager can cancel accounts now. So I drove 30 minutes one way to be told I have to come back in an hour. I come back in an hour, the manager is still not present, and now the guy at the counter says he can cancel my account. I paid this company literally about a thousand dollars a year for 2 years to use it ten times. I understand all companies have their own policies, like only being able to cancel in person. It doesn't make sense, and it's bad customer service, but it is what it is. But charging me again next month after canceling when it's the 16th is a horrible business. Especially when you can see I haven't been there in months. I stated very clearly that I was having issues making it in person physically because of my job and location, and hours and you guys do this? Not once on the phone did anyone express this when telling me I needed to come in person to cancel. I hope the company will do the right thing and waive the last "pending payment," and I will make sure to update this accordingly monthly. This gym is well kept up with fresh new equipment taken care of. They have a dry sauna and wet sauna. I like going late at night avoiding the main gym folks that come in between 3:30-7:30. I never have to wait on equipment and enjoy the atmosphere. They do have the cryogenic freezer and massage bed but that cost extra. I switched from LA fitness and glad that I did. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. I had trouble with my billing and have requested that the manager call me back via email and phone calls and never received a call back. I have a refund due because of errors in billing that were their mistake and yet cannot seem to get anybody to respond. They can't even get a hold of their own corporate office unless it is through email. They are scam artist and take your money and don't return it. Still having issues, told I was refunded some time ago week and a half ago and still haven't seen a dime. Manager is a jerk and doesn't have any customer service skills at all. Has not taken any responsibility for ignoring me as a customer. Useless manager was suppose to replace the old manager that was worse. Each person has their own expectation of customer service and as I look at some of the reviews I am not sure what people are expecting here. My experience was going in for a tour on day 1, Cullen was great about showing me around, explaining the facility, and presenting the membership options and deals. Gabby poked into our conversation to add a little more insight which was appreciated. I signed up for a prepaid 2 year run, do it don't do it is my motto, financially it made sense for the savings of almost 50%. Also, met Todd one of the personal trainers that day because I was curious about experience of the trainers as I have some underlying health issues. Again, really solid customer service mentality, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. That is after all what sales is about most of the time. Okay, sales time is over, day two I come in for a personal trainer session and do some cardio. Front desk was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Todd was awesome in his intake process and his advice on various issues to get started. Machines are excellent, locker rooms large and clean. Had a great experience. Day three, went in for boxing conditioning class and again front desk awesome, had a question for Gabby about an App issue and she was friendly and helpful, even gets my sense of humor (I think). Then the class, Alex was a great coach and was really understanding of my limitations just starting out at 56 after a few years of not doing anything really. I am so impressed and absolutely love this facility and the staff. Expensive? A little on the high side compared to some do the competition but they say it and they mean it "they train different". Looking forward to the next several months of getting myself back in shape, I do not hesitate going in like I have in some gyms, they are genuinely friendly and helpful, no facades. read more

I've always been a big advocate for this gym, but ever since returning last month (I was gone for about 6 months) it has gone completely downhill. Kim, bless her heart, is the only one I've encountered that seems to share any concern, but the place has completely gone to sh*. Trash everywhere, cleaning supplies I.e toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers etc...are always empty (because they're all over the floor). I'm constantly having to ask staff for something that should already be stocked and taken care of. Look at any of the other reviews, this is something that has been going on and that they're clearly aware of, but seemingly don't care to address - despite their replies to comments saying that "they appreciate the feedback." read more

I was sexually harassed at this gym by one of the workers. At the end of my first day there, Ziri who works there told me that they were watching me work out. This is completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and downright criminal. This place charges hundreds of dollars a month per person for their various services, but they do not spend any of that money to hire and train quality employees. The music is so loud that it makes a person ill. when asked to turn it down, they cannot, due to corporate settings. I know several people that wear noise cancelling EarPod, not to hear their own music, but to block out the screaming noise. I guess I'll need to get a set!! read more

I love this gym. The staff is friendly the equipment is great. I mainly use the pool these days and it's very nice. My only complaint about this facility is that the pool deck isn't as clean as it could be. There should never be algae growing on a pool deck. The floors should be cleaned daily so this doesn't happen. Other than that I give this place high marks. read more

At first I was excited about this gym. My person trainer told me about how accessible it was and it is amazingly accessible to those who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices. It really is. However my experience with a trainer here was extremely unprofessional,unpleasant and rude. Started with him insisting he could balance me standing on a tiny scale without knowledge of function level. Then instead of asking my disability or function level he wanted to know about the incident that caused my paralysis. None of that is necessary to help a person train its just curiosity. People become paralyzed from war to gunshots and the subject should be dropped if they don't want to share it with a stranger qnd in my 10 years of training not even my coaches asked me that my first time ever meeting them.I left to start working out on my own and he apologized but kept on assuming I knew nothing of fitness. (I used to compete for team USA) I know eating is important Go for the pools but if training is what you want wheelchair users go elsewhere. There are places with much mor knowledge read more
