I've watched her walk through the locker rooms with staff to ensure the facility stays clean and well cared for. She even spends her own money on thoughtful extras, like decorating mirrors with positive, uplifting, and motivating messages. Overrated. They try to make it as hard as possible for you to cancel your membership.

The Sauna is alway broken. If it's not one thing then it's another. For the past 6 months they have been having issue with the sauna. I don't think it's a priority for management to get this corrected and this is one of the reasons I pay for a membership for the use of the Sauna. read more

dont waste your time I was a member for months and every week they ran out of toilet paper, no wipes for the machines, ran out of the towels to dry your hands and restrooms are always dirty. They always have broken equipment and it's down for weeks. A few staff members are nice but generally the attitude of indifference is very obvious. We hired a trainer and the experience was very unprofessional and not worth the expense. read more

I'm a 45yo, I was a bit intimidated since I've never really had a trainer. I am not looking to wear the little red/black dress just be self independent as much as possible. Kadria heard exactly what I was saying. With his direction I found to have weak muscles on areas that I never imagined. He was knowledgeable, respectful and patient. I've been coming here for a few months now. I haven't had one time in the dry sauna. I'm sure it could be fixed in 8 weeks.

I believe her name was nautica or something of that nature, she didn't give her last name but that's besides the point. She was very rude to her employees and did not seem like she wanted to help my wife and I on our fitness journey. Felt like I was getting judged as I was talking to her as she was looking me up and down. Made me feel insecure about myself and when my wife and I got into the car my wife had tried to stay strong but couldn't and teared up a bit saying she did not want to go to this gym. That being said I am very disappointed in the management done by operation manager Ms.Nautica. My wife and I will now be taking our fitness journey to another location where they were more welcoming and not judgmental at all. Cooperate needs to do something about Nautica. My trainer Brittany is awesome. Otherwise this club really needs improvement. The carpets are disgustingly dirty. Many of the exercise machines are broken. There are bikes in the cycle room that need repair. They really need to get new bikes. They are old and outdated. The water stations are gross. I just don't see any incentive to improve the club. They seem to focus most attention to signing more people up. read more

I was trying to pay for a day pass for my husband to join me in a workout and all of the front end staff seemed very disinterested in being helpful. No water access today. Flushing the water lines, but I'm advised it's still running & accessible even though it's not clean. No vending machines & snack bar is closed. Yes I brought my own water but ran out. I pay too much for this. I normally don't review, but as one of the only LA fitness gyms in this area, this place needs a much needed update & better ventilation. A small concern, the facility has what I think to be a personable and good manager.  The cleanliness is usually on-par.  However, the fact that our sauna at this location has been inoperable for weeks now is just ridiculous. I have asked when it was going to be repaired and they have NO IDEA.  Some plumber is waiting on a part then they will be able to address a time-line.   I could not imagine a grocery store saying our freezer section is broke and we are not sure when it will be fixed.  Gyms have memberships and can take members for granted.  I'll not be recommending to family and friends as so often asked of members. Entirely unacceptable for a facility that large with that many members have no idea of when the sauna will be fixed or that it should be out of service this long!! read more

I've been to 6 LA fitnesses. This one pretty average. It's the second oldest in WA I believe. It does need an upgrade. But it does the job. The place is always cleaned and weights are in it's place. The one in Hollywood is awful for this. Makes me grateful for this place. I have no complaints. This is like my second home since I come here everyday. Hahaha read more

I came back to L.A. Fitness after almost 14+ years. I returned because I'm now in a wheelchair and need to keep my leg strength up to hopefully get knee replacement in a few years. Upon entering I met Ali who is one of the upcoming trainers. I can't say enough about him. He works hard at his craft and took the time to understand my complex issue. I've had the opportunity to work with him twice and he makes my trips into the facility worthwhile for a 61-year-old Pastor. If you ever have a chance to go into this location look up Ali. I had switched to LA because it was closer than the gym I had originally been going to so I was hoping it would be more convenient. My membership was also purchased as a birthday gift so I was looking forward to coming regularly. After only 2 visits I had lost all motivation for working out because of the lack of cleanliness at this facility. Equipment was okay but seemed a little old. The pool even with how much chlorine is in it was still pretty gross and you can definitely tell the areas that lack cleaning and upkeep. Also, with how much memberships cost, I would have thought they atleast provide towels for their members. I cancelled my membership as soon as possible and don't have any intention of going back! read more

Questionable staff interaction today with Sabrina with the purple highlights in her hair, I came in under the impression that patrons who are already under a current memberships guest pass were able to use the gym without them being present. After the front desk check-in explained to me that you must have the Account holder present to use guest privileges She referred me to Sabrina who then accused me of trying to "sneak into our gym". Is this how you train your Sales "Professionals" to deal with Gym Members & their Guests? If so I would advise a better training program because that is the complete opposite of Customer Service. 1 star for your customer service skills Sabrina. read more

And after going there for a long time it's clear the saunas going out bc people like to squirt good smells to help with the sweat smell from woods theyve hardly changed since It was new when I was 16. I have kept my membership bc the sunrise village has lots of cool food to eat after the gym plus the fun things to do even though I signed up for a newer gym that's just more modern. I just joined this gym after not going to the gym for 2 years. The price is good especially for all you get to do compared to all the other gyms in Puyallup. I've totally started using the pool this time and it's awesome. The membership is cheaper than paying for pool chemicals if I bought my own pool. Pretty much not worth paying $30 a month. Everything is broken here and they don't bother fixing it. Saunas been down for over a month, jacuzzi is broken, stair machine and other equipments been broken for over a month. I don't understand it. The places in a very nice area and most of the building looks like it's brand new. The gym is absolutely filthy and the equipment is not maintained well. I see why it was given to stars. It is the dirtiest LA Fitness I have ever been into and it is the least maintained. I went into the men's restroom which looks very nice however there's a considerable amount of mold and there was trash all over the floor in various areas. My opinion is it has to be mis managed. This is your typical big chain gym, and for your mainstream fitness needs. They love rearranging the designated stretch areas, and roping off any "specialty" equipment that requires their personal training package. I've inquired about the use of this equipment several times and was told a different answer each time. They do have a large airy layout that isn't too cramped with equipment. The "packed" hours are generally hours while kids klub is open. Kids Klub has large open windows facing outside and lots of things for children of all ages. Staff here is courteous, but the cleanliness (overall, bathroom especially) and attentiveness to their equipment has been slipping. The women's locker room had an odor the day after memorial day. Parking is huge, make sure to keep valuables and bags out of sight. Smoothie stand on site. Sauna and pool on-site as well as the normal amenities. read more
