My husband and I always find it's not overly crowded and we can always get done what we need to.

Let's be honest, if you have kids and want to work out this is the ONLY option in the Buffalo area…read morewith a childcare center. Also, the prices are fair BUT you get what you pay for. You should know that if you want a clean facility, good customer service or attentive and caring childcare you need to go somewhere else. The childcare center is legally required to have one adult for every 12 children, but its ALWAYS at 16-18 kids with one adult. It is what it is. I leave my kids knowing that because its my only option and my kids are old enough to be okay with minimal supervision but I still wish it was better since I'm paying for it. Also, by adult, I mean, young people who are *technically* there but tend to pay more attention to texting on their cell phones than the kids they are supposed to be watching. I'm serious...of the last three times I've brought my kids there, two times they were watched by a gal sitting in a rocking chair staring at her cell phone and the third time my child's shoes were stolen and the childcare worker was too busy with her "oh well, not my problem" attitude to ever apologize for what happened. I know SHE didn't steal my kids' shoes, but her lack of supervision and the fact that she was over legal capacity numbers did contribute to what happened and a simple "I'm sorry it happened and I'll keep my eyes out in case they show up" would have sufficed. Instead I was on my knees digging through toy boxes looking for them while she stood and watched. Ridiculous. I did end up leaving my name and number, along with a description of the shoes, on the desk in the childcare center for her, and she thanked me for leaving it and told me she'd let others know what happened so they could keep an eye out for my little girl's shoes. Instead, she told no one. When the shoes showed up days later nobody knew whose they were or why they were there so nobody called me. I happened to call about 4 days later to find out they were there. Glad I called. Here's the best part. On the day it happened I called and wanted to speak to the manager about it. I wasn't even angry, it was just one of those bad luck things, but I wanted to let the manager know that I'd appreciate if someone could be assigned to go through all the toy boxes to see if one of the children simply took them out of the storage area and lost track of them. I was told I'd get a call back later that day since the manager was busy. Fine. No call back. So I called again the next day, slightly moe frustrated at the whole situation and again, I was told he was too busy to take my call but would call me later. No call back. It's been 5 days and I've not gotten a call. Lesson learned: if you want quality supervision of your children, within legal capacity limits then this IS NOT the place to go. Save your money, its basically the same as leaving your child unsupervised anyways and you can do that for free. If you want a manager that gives a rip about paying customers also go somewhere else. Apparently this manager is too busy NOT managing the childcare center, or cleaning up the paintchipped, dingy facility to care about the customer concerns. I SO wish there were other options for childcare while working out here in Buffalo. Experience Fitness is 1/2 the cost of Lifetime Fitness, but I'd pay double any day of the week for Lifetime's awesome childcare, clean building and better service. You get what you pay for indeed. It's a decent place to workout, I wish there were more classes, and that the classes were more in the early afternoon, but its decent for the price so I can't complain too much about that. It's not a place I love, but I don't hate it. I just REALLY wish the childcare was better, and that the service was better since both leave a lot to be desired.

So I would say, in Buffalo, it is a pretty okay place to go if you need to work out. My one concern was that when I told her it would be my first time visiting the gym, she did not give me a tour or offer assistance finding things. Better customer service and possibly a better janitor would be great!

She was only looking for a summer membership as she is a student athlete that is home for the summer. The agreement was signed for a year so I agreed to pay the $300 some dollar cancellation fee. Yet here we are still paying for a useless membership in full. I don't like to complain about company's but this business tactic is deplorable. It is Absolutely criminal. The GM wrote me an email stating they would work with my daughter to cancel and here we are six weeks later still charging my CC. Plenty of ethical companies to use close by. I recommend buyer beware and not to support this business.

Lindsey has opened a beautiful new studio in Buffalo and with fellow instructors Ally, Rachel and April The Fire Within Yoga studio offers morning , noon and evening classes to fit anyone's schedule. I have recently been a student of Ally in her Toned Yoga class. Although I did not include hand weights in my routine, I was dripping wet with sweat by the end of class - a great challenging experiance! I also recently was a student in Rachel's Power Vinyasa Yoga class. Rachel's Power Vinyasa Yoga was also a great workout - with a more modest amount of sweat than Ally's Toned Yoga class. Rachel's Power Yoga class was similar to Lindsey's Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes - about a moderate Lindsey class. I also was a student in the Gentle Mindful Movement Yoga class today. This was a great mellow Yoga class and would be wonderful for a beginner introduction to Yoga and for people with various physical challenges. I did not break a sweat but was challenged with balance poses and stretching. I left feeling refreshed and renewed.

Not too big like some the life time fitness facilities and not too small like the snap fitness gyms. The one thing I hate there is the sales staff. Aaron who was our sales guy gave us the fastest tour and in a huge rush to to leave. He was extremely annoying and and very pushy. He obviously can't read people very well cuz I had to look annoyed. Try to avoid him if you go there to sign up or take a tour. All and all the place is pretty good with memberships that can't be beat.

The hot tub isn't working very often, and the pool is disgusting. The customer service is horrific! When you sign up you are promised no annual fees for a year but repeatedly are charged a $29 fee for equipment maintenance which obviously they are not maintaining. I called corporate to find out about the charges multiple times, sent multiple emails and after 3 weeks someone FINALLY called me back. After all of their fees you are paying as much as a Lifetime Fitness I would suggest getting a membership anywhere but Gold's to be honest.
