I joined yesterday and so can't speak of my work out experience. I do want to acknowledge Nick,…read moreone of the personal trainers, he came off as such a genuine nice person. He took time and listened to my anxieties concerning my fitness level, hat I hoped to gain by being a member, what I think are my limitations and encouraged me to come back when the manager was there to talk with her. I walked in yesterday and he remembered my name and shared the excitement I was feeling about joining. Then I met Missy the manager, the time she took to explain everything the gym offers and how she wants my experience to be about my goals and meeting me and where I'm at and supporting that journey. I haven't met any of the other staff but if their attitude to fitness and acceptance is the same then this place will be something I look forward to going to.

The staff at this gym is top notch. Austin, Nick, and Zach are gregarious, knowledgeable, and…read morecommitted fellas who excel at making clients feel welcome and confident. Newcomer Ted is very professional and is knowledgeable from what I've experienced so far (seeing as he's only been with the gym a short while). These fellas, especially Austin, will go out of their way to accommodate people's needs and concerns when life rears its ugly head from time to time. They're good about working with people and around people's foibles. They definitely make the gym experience a more pleasant one than it would be normally.

This gym suffers from a complete lack of gym etiquette. I applaud the "judgment free" philosophy…read morebut I also think this attracts many members who have no idea about how to behave in a gym. The Smith machine/weight racks are the worst --my daughter and I the last three times we were in the gym witnessed four people take over the four racks for the entire hour we were at the gym. Some of these people even set their phones and water bottles on the bench to reserve the rack while they went to the bathroom. There are only four racks for the entire gym, and the members I see seem to be doing an entire workout of multiple exercises once they get on the rack. This is excessive as there are only a few exercises that are best done on the rack--i.e. calf raises, three sets, with five-minute breaks in between can be done on the calf raise machine. There should be a time or number of exercises done limit on these racks or buy more racks! The cable towers are also very frustrating. Every time I am there a large man has set up a bench between the two towers and has used two cables at one time--effectively taking up two areas at one time. The two cables they monopolize are the only two of that type so I have had to skip doing my oblique "woodchoppers" every time. The same guys take long breaks between sets while they stare in the mirror and look at their phones. I have seen one man monopolize two cables for the entire hour I was at the gym and he was still going when I left. On the other machines, people do one set, then sit on the machine and look at their phone for five minutes, then repeat this two more times. Have they never heard of letting others work in between sets? Basic gym etiquette. A simple sign telling people not to sit on the machines between sets would easily solve this problem. Last time I was in the gym I went to use the ab slider machine and a woman was in front of it lifting weights in the mirror. She saw me and came over and said, "I am using that machine". I said nicely, "I saw you liting weights, can I do a set while you finish?" She answered that she was "holding the machine". Some basic gym ettiquette rules at this place, such as signs with some simple rules and some employees that pay attention to what is going on would be super helpful and completely elevate the experience of using this gym. It would also be helpful for the members who have no experience using a gym to learn some basic gym manners. The focus of the front desk seems to be enforcement of rules that other Planet Fitness locations do not seem to have--like asking for ID's-- and not allowing anything on the floor around the machines. This is probably to protect the gym from liability for accidents. Much more focus should be placed on making an environment where people can efficiently get their workout in without constant irritation and frustration. Otherwise, this gym is clean and has a decent assortment of equipment. Sad that the place is run so poorly.

Never received an apology for a staff member to scream at customers and freely with his phone come…read moreoften in the changing area unannounced. And now they are reducing hours again. It's a wonder why pf is losing money. Ran so badly. And I'm not going to keep my membership if this staff member starts earlier as I won't be in the same place as him. He will someday hurt someone
