There are kettle bells, medicine balls, ropes and other balance options too.They have cardio classes and spin as well. Spacious changing rooms with private showers and lockers on site. There are three personal trainers with varying schedules. My trainer is Jesse. He also has training in physical therapy. That means every exercise has purpose and meaning tailored to the individual for their goals. Fitness Plus is on the far end of Laporte near the border of Rolling Prairie past Fail Rd. Plenty of parking in front and there are a few restaurants across the street from here but you can't bring any food in as they want you to buy within. I recommend this center.

I write this as my tush is killing me from strength class. Classes that are offered are HITT, HITT Strength, Boxing, Kickboxing and there are personal training classes you can sign up for. You are getting killer cardio and strength Additional "super classes"...aka class from hell.... pop up Yoga and some really fun events are offered throughout the year. Always something to keep you engaged. The last thing you will be here is board with classes. You can try a class at no charge. The gym has gloves you can use for the class, so no need to worry about buying gloves just to try out a class. There are several morning and evening classes available and classes also offered on the weekend. Ladies don't let the idea of boxing/kickboxing deter you. You will sweat and feel it, but that is the class. It's the best workout and great change from other classes or doing it on your own. I believe members should be treated with respect and given an opportunity to express their concerns without feeling intimidated. I dropped into this box for the first time today and from the moment I walked in I felt welcomed by…read morethe staff and coaches. Chris immediately introduced himself and shortly thereafter the coach for that class did as well. The box itself is huge and was quite clean (restrooms includes) considering its where everyone goes to sweat. They have a lot of equipment and it's well organized and color coded. The members were friendly as well which is expected in the crossfit community but not always the case. The warm up was appropriate for what the WOD entailed [20 wall balls, 20 bridges, 20 flutter kicks, 20 pvc pipe dislocations]. This was followed by a mobility skill set. Then The WOD Nancy and finally we ended with a strength set [3x10 KB row,3x10 RDL, 3x10 windshield wipers]. Here are the valleys and to their credit it may have been by design: 1. I thought the mobility set or some different mobility/stretching set may have been appropriate after we finished strength. 2. There was no instruction for the weights to use for the strength portion. % of 1RM or some other bench mark would have been helpful. Over all it was a good experience and I'm glad I dropped in! I'll probably drop in more in the future when I'm in town.
