Great gym!!!! Robert is the best man I know!!!! It's super clean and all the staff is very friendly

Jonathan was an excellent gym owner. Under his management the gym was always very clean, the equipment maintained (seat tears taken care of very quickly, equipment placement maintained and he would hear any complaint and investigate). His laughter was also wonderful. His passing was both a personal and professional loss. And the gym has suffered greatly since he is no longer present. Seat cushions are torn and not repaired. Dust bunnies everywhere. The equipment wanders about and bumps other devices. A 'new' remodel is taking forever! Many of the cardio classes have been suspended with absolutely no concern given to the long time members who wanted those classes. Management's response is, "Go to P.V." This gym was number one in Chino Valley 2 1/2 years ago... Jonathan must be rolling over in dismay at the decline of proper care. What a loss... read more

I live in the Phoenix Metro area. I was visiting my brother and sister-in-law with my wife. I was very happy to had it anytime fitness there.. It was spotless. I worked out there three days. . I noticed somebody left their phone. A member picked it up and put it in the lost and found which is easy to find.. The person came back and picked up their phone . Once again, it's very clean. The machines are kept in excellent condition. If I could give it six stars I would. read more

The gym is filthy. I don't know where those other reviews about it being clean came from... They were many years ago I see. But now it is very dirty. All the equipment has thick layers of dust on it there are always clean towels in there and a lot of spray bottles around but it still doesn't help with the fact that you look at all this filth when you're sitting on the machine. I've watched the people vacuum and they don't get around the equipment. In fact I watched him walk around with a rag and something on it cleaning equipment and they do a horrible job... They barely touch the machines. read more

Do not give this place your money. They are extremely overpriced and require a 1 year contract with them. All they want is to milk you dry - if you cancel within the contract they hit you with a heavy fee. If you cancel after the term then they still charge you for additional 30 days. I signed up for a 7 day guest pass to this gym (which I live 15 minutes away from). Upon completing the form I reached out to the gym to see the protocol of activating the guest pass. The man I spoke to said since I do not live in Chino (i live in Prescott) that I cannot use this guest pass. I questioned him as this is the closest gym to my house and he said this is the company/owner policy. I was the sales director for a 15 million dollar health club before I moved here and that is absolute ridiculous. Nobody should ever be turned down like I was. Anytime fitness seems to have a very tenuous grasp on how to handle new customers and potential sales. No wonder this club has 2 stars read more

So I am looking for a gym closer to my house. I have a membership at a different gym in Prescott. I went to the Anytime Fitness in Chino Valley just now they claim to be 24/7 gym on the website but their door says otherwise. Broken up hours throughout the week. I got there during their regular business hours but the doors were locked I rang the doorbell a couple of times and looked into the window and there was not a soul around. I have been coming to this gym in Chino Valley for about a year now and I absolutely love it. The facility is kept clean and stocked, management and staff is friendly and helpful, and there is a great selection of weights to use. I prefer lifting and this gym offers exactly what I need to achieve my goals. They're open 24/7 and you get a key fob so you can go any time of the day that works for you, which is great for me because I tend to have a hectic and busy schedule. Definitely recommend this gym to anyone in the area! read more

I signed my daughter and myself up for a membership at this particular site and was looking forward to going especially to the classes (the main reason we signed up in the first place) We were never able to get the into the classes we wanted as they were always full ALWAYS. Sadly my mother became very ill within six months and we were unable to cancel our membership due to it being a one year contract. Ok so i pay 75 dollars a month to this place and not be able to use it i have to eat it on that one. Well once my 12 month commitment was up i sent an email to the company and asked that my membership be cancelled. I was informed that i had to do it in person for my security. What security its not like i was asking for the card information i was cancelling the membership i should have been able to do it in an email since even the courts accept emails as proof of intentions. So i inform the business owner that my card has been cancelled and he said that i need to cancel the membership or if the charges went past three months they would be turned over to collections again what!!!!!! When i was able to get in to cancel the membership i was then informed that they wanted a thirty day notice again WHAT???!!!!! I Have been trying to cancel my membership for 6 months and now i may be obligated for another 30 days........Do not sign with this place they fall into the same nightmare stories as all the other ones you have heard about since the late 80's. Just an fyi my mother has been very ill for the last 9 months and still is in need of permanent help from someone daily but that doesnt matter to these people they care nothing about the small town they are from or work in. So no i do not recommend them spend the time and gas and go to another facility. read more

Do not sign up for a membership here!! I am yet another customer who received an unacceptable level of customer service and fraudulent charges. After six months of trying to cancel my membership after my year contract was up, I just received a call from a collections agency!! Here is the story: I went in to the location with a 2 week free trial and was talked into a years' membership ($40/mo) because of a current special they had going on. I was assured my first month bill would be pro-rated the two weeks. It was not. After inquiring the manager told me he would credit my account, it never happened. Months later I made a referral and tried to collect my "free month" (there is a 4ft poster inside bragging about this) and was told that "immediate family" didn't qualify. Yes, I referred my mother: I am an adult woman with children of my own decades past living with my parents. Seemed strange, and was made stranger still when the owner then offered a discounted rate for my husband (no free month but an offer to pay $240 more a year). Then I went in to cancel and found there is no way out of a one year contract. So I waited and returned to make sure the contract did not renew and my membership was cancelled. However charges kept going automatically on my account. I was forced to put a stop pay on their company and am now harassed by collections. As a business owner in the service industry I am appalled by either their record keeping or the scam they are running. Not worth your hard earned money. read more

Dirty! Dirty! Dirty! A huge disappointment! I have family I visit in Az once to twice a month. I've been a member of Anytime fitness for years. I have never had enough free time to visit the gym until this past trip. Huge disappointment! The Chino Valley location is unhygienic. The machines appear to have never been fully cleaned, layered with years of hair, dust and other grossness. I spent a week in AZ. During my stay the gym replaced an old cable-machine. Instead of moping where to old one stood- they installed the new one and left the nasty, dirty grime on the floor. I asked one of the older men whom seemed to be a regular there about the state of the gym. He said that this gym never gets any attention. The members have been waiting on the new equipment for almost 6 months. Then the gentleman pointed out the bike that he usually used has been broken and waiting for parts for almost as long. He said things are broken often and take a long time to get fixed. I asked about the owners, if they were local? Did they not care about the gym? He said the owners moved to the valley but, yes, even before they moved they don't care about this gym. He said I was lucky I was not a man, because the men's bathroom is do dirty, he won't use it. The whole place looks run down. I noticed the poor shape of the aerobic room floor, the worn seats and backs of the machines, the taped together screen on the stepmill, the sink loose on the wall of the women's bathroom, broken water fountain, holes in the wall, bad paint job through out the whole place, the layers of dust... everywhere.... the gym looks like it needs some serious work, and a steam cleaning. I'll skip it next time I am in town!!! I can't wait to talk to my anytime's owner about Chino Valley Anytime! Doug will be appalled. read more

Staff is very helpful when their assigned times are in affect. The equipment is in fairly good condition. It's clean and there's plenty of clean towels available. My membership is part of my Humana health program so it is convenient. read more

Very clean, well ventilated, well lighten facility with well maintained equipment. I use the facility 6 days a week.

The equipment was in bad shape. I originally signed up for spinrg classes and another class for myself and my daughter. We were able to get into the spnrg class for the first two weeks then after that we could never get in again asked the girl at front if she could automatically sign us up and she said no. The main reason we joined was for the classes. It cost me $75 per month to go to that gym and wet couldn't even use the equipment half the time. Our hours of availability were during the busiest time of the day but with work and school and ballet for my youngest we didn't have much availability. I did try to cancel but they would not work with me. I paid for my membership a membership for my teenage daughter and day care for my seven year old. It was only when my contact ended and they wanted to keep me paying that they offered to sign me up for the classes I wanted. A little to late for that. Then they were going to try to make me pay another month stating I had to give them a thirty day notice to end my contract. No they didn't get their way on that one. The contract was up and they knew for six months preceding that I wanted to end my contract. Stay away from this gym. Planet fitness had much nicer equipment more equipment and can accommodate more people during busy hours and for $40 dollars less a month you can bring a friend with you every time. No need to pay a $40 dollar membership plus another $20 dollar membership for a second person. Oh and yes there are body builders and other people that are in really great shape at planet fitness they just don't judge so you see what you should see people in all shapes and sizes. read more

The gym seems nicer and cleaner than it was a few years ago. I rejoined in May 2018 mainly to attend the SPIN classes. So glad that I did! All the teachers are great fun and motivators. I am hooked! read more
