Been a member of anytime duarte for about six years minus some time that I had to cancel for health reasons. FIVE STAR THIEVES I signed with Anytime Fitness in November 2023, and in February 2024 I sent an email to stop all payment and cancel my membership just before leaving the country for school. For the next 17 months, they ignored that cancellation and bled me for $70 every month. THE GRAND TOTAL: ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($1,190) STOLEN FROM ME BY ANYTIME FITNESS DUARTE I didn't want to get stuck in something like this. I paid extra for the month to month membership, to protect myself, only for this business to be so negligent and and greedy. When I finally uncovered it, I expected them to do the right thing. Instead, a so called "refund" of only 60 days which was only $140 came in the mail. The rest? Gone. And as if that insult wasn't enough, they had the audacity to charge me for another $80 on top of all the money they stole from me to 'help improve the business.' This gym is run by money hungry thieves. Anytime Fitness robbed me, and Anytime Fitness will rob you. read more

The 24/7 gym is accessible through a key tap that you are required to place a $50 dollar deposit for. If you decide to continue with the gym they will keep the $50 dollar deposit as part of your opening fees. If you don't become a member, the deposit is returned to you (if you can ever manage to return your key tap). I signed up with a friend to try out their 7-day trial and it has been the most disorganized process to return the key tap. To do so there needs to be a staff member available to check it back in and to then return your deposit. The problem is, NO ONE IS EVER HERE. When you call their offices they list that their staff hours are M-TH 10Am to 2PM & 4 PM to 7 PM. They also list hours for Saturday from 10Am-2pm. The same schedule is listed outside their window. However they do not adhere to these hours. I have driven three times to the location to try to return the tap key and have failed all three times. I have tried calling multiple times, of which I was finally able to connect with a staff member who told me to come before 6PM on Monday 11/28. I am currently sitting here 40+ minutes into waiting and no one is here. There are no signs notifying anyone that staff has stepped out. Very unprofessional to conduct a business in such a manner. If they really wanted to keep the $50 deposit they could have just stated so in their agreement. read more

I was a member here for 2 years and unfortunately had to cancel because I re located. The facility is excellent- they keep all of the equipment clean, functioning, and up to date. Another aspect of the gym that I enjoyed is that they kept up with all of the extras: hip thrust pads, elastic bands, Bosu balls, etc. there is definitely something for everyone at this gym. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly, and never pushy like how some gyms can be. Customer service is on point. I highly recommend this gym if you are in the area. The facility is clean, the members (well, the vast majority of them) take the time to wipe down the equipment, and I've met some really nice people. I have found the time that works for me and pretty much there's little to no wait for the machines. I want to extend my appreciation as a member of this gym for a few years now. It continues to be one of the cleanest gyms I've been a member of. The owners Bree and Erick have created an environment of respect and courtesy, and I've never felt creeped out by members. It's a family environment with mature people. If ever a rare issue arises off business hours, the owners have always encouraged members make a personal phone call directly to them and you'll find them quickly retuning to the gym to take care of thing. Amazing gym has everything you need for a great workout ! Very clean and well maintain

Just joined here after moving up the street from Azusa. I've been a PF member for years, but that chain isn't going to reopen anytime soon in SoCal and I was desperate for other options! Since COVID hit in March and shut down everything, I bought a stationary bike for the house and have been doing that, running, IG workouts, and lifting the 2 sets of weights we have at home, but we all know at-home stuff just doesn't work the same as coming to the gym. So thankful to have found this place! Is it huge with tons of equipment options like PF? No. Is it as cheap as PF? No, but the pricing isn't bad. The one year contract is $42/month with 2 annual payments of $20/each and a signup fee. Something along those lines, so certainly competitive. What I do like is that they have real weight racks unlike PF, who only has smith machines! This place is also exceptionally clean, including the bathrooms. It doesn't have a weird gym smell despite having carpeting throughout. All members I've observed do a really good job wiping down the machines before and after each use. They have wet wipes abs paper towels with spray always fully stocked all over the facility. I really appreciate that they truly never seem to close due to the entrance being constantly locked, allowing members-only key fob access. The cams inside are going 24/7, so I never feel unsafe, even late at night when it's just me and less than 5 other people. I'm so thankful to have found this place! read more

UPDATE: I checked my email when I got home and saw that the owner emailed me at around the time I left the house to go to the gym stating the out of office unavailability. I appreciate the gesture but I would hope that any change in schedule should be already reflected online or via the ClassPass schedule ahead of time. I also do not check my email during gym time. - For any ClassPass or non members: Staff is not there during staffed hours to let you in, leading to a waste of your commute time and the time you budgeted for gymming. Why would you advertise staffed hours in person, on your website, on Yelp, etc., when you're not going to honor it? I booked gym time using ClassPass credits and no one was there to let me in even though I arrived at 10:15 am. I rang the doorbell and called their phone multiple times Luckily a kind member let me in and I was able to get my workout in (since I did fairly book it through ClassPThroughout my workout, I heard the doorbell chime several times again, indicating that others had also come solely for the staffed hours. Only when I was leaving at 11:20 am that I saw that someone had posted an "out of office, be back at 12:30 pm" sign on the door sometime between when I had entered and was now leaving. What? How does it make any sense to post an out of office notice within the time period you are supposedly out of office for? It's unprofessional. Anytime Fitness-Duarte is a great gym with friendly people. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Great people who work out there. The place is well-maintained and always very clean. I like the treadmills and stair master, plus there is 'everything' anyone could want in weights. Amenities include showers and changing rooms. The group fitness class lead by Breeauna 4 times a week is just the right level for us 'seniors.' However, she adjusts the weights and makes modifications if we want to go heavier or lighter. I was a previously member of another gym that was cheaper than a budget meal but extremely dirty, congested and had an immature member base. I became a member here a few years ago and you get what you pay for with this gym holding its incredible value. There's a better class of members that take working out seriously with respect and members who don't good off, it's not at all congested and the gym and its facilities are always so clean. It's the best gym I've ever been to, quite frankly. PRICE: it's $35 a month. If you cancel before the first year ends, you pay half of the remaining dues for that year, which is a bit of a bummer. After that initial year you can cancel anytime without a fee. Registration and getting your key is $50. You can sign up for the free trial period for a week. You pay $50 but you get that money refunded as long as you return your key by the end of the week. HOURS: Anytime Fitness gyms are open 24-7. They give you a key for entrance so you can come anytime. That means sometimes you will come to the gym and there won't be any staff there, or any patrons. It's like having your own private gym...you don't have to worry about special holiday hours. STAFF: Annie, Erick and Walter are all super friendly. They will get to know your name if you're a regular. They always say hi when you come in, I like that. They are a big part of making this gym special. When I had joined initially for the trial period, Erick didn't pressure me to join or anything after it was over, which I liked a lot. They are all very chill. EQUIPMENT: i joined this gym because I was following a powerlifting routine and wanted a gym that had squat racks and places to deadlift. This gym has 3 squat racks, 4 45-lb bars, and 1 35-lb bar. There are also lots of places to do pullups and chinups. They have everything I needed for my strength training program. They also have a cool room with a screen where you can play workout videos. I've done a couple yoga flows in that room. BUSY HOURS: A good gym is an empty gym. 've never seen this gym packed...even around 5 o clock on a weekday. I've never had to wait for a squat rack or work in my set with somebody else. I've always been able to do what I want. Sometimes I come in on a Friday evening and it's completely EMPTY. I feel like I really made progress in my strength training since coming to this gym for a year and being able to work out without waiting. SHOWERS: there are two private showers, both very clean and hardly used. PATRONS: very diverse in age and ethnicity. There are a lot of elder patrons which I like. I like that it's not too bro-ey, compared to the Anytime fitness in Covina. The only reason I quit this gym is because I relocated. I definitely miss working out there and now feel spoiled from it. My husband an I live 2 hours away but when we visit my parents, we LOVE coming here even though it's about a 10-15 minute drive for us from where my parents live. Equipment: ALL NEW Classes: I LOVE their classes! You can go anytime and choose any class you want, since it's controlled on a computer-type product! Now that's what I call "ANYTIME fitness". I don't know any other gym, I've been to, that features this. I hate having to rush to get to the gym on the hour of a specific class time, or making time to fit a class I want to go to WHEN it's available. This is available anytime. I love it! :) Traffic: NEVER busy when I go. Good for us, probably not so good for their business? (not sure how that works) Staff: I've only had the chance to meet one staff member since we barely ever come here, but Diana so nicely introduced herself to us during her workout. This gym is the go to place to get a great workout in. I was having a hard time getting a routine going due to the lock downs. I was literally starting to struggle with weight once again. Gaining what took almost 9 months to lose (35 lbs) and gaining it right back in about 2 months. I've been coming to this gym before Covid, and the thing that really had me was how well kept the gym was. I don't mean how new the equipment was. No, see, in anything, the details are what matters. The gym for one did not smell like your typical gym, I mean it literally did not smell like sweat and old sweaty rags quite the contrary. Second, every member was wiping down the equipment after their use! I was sold. They finished up the tour, with the restrooms, and well, no spots on the mirrors, no toilet paper all over the place, they were pretty much spotless!! Skipped the trial, and signed up on the spot. I had been to too many of the big gyms, and they couldn't do half the job these guys do to keep up with their equipment, let alone cleaning. Fast forward to post Covid, and they have definitely increased their sanitation. I feel safe coming in. Not only are they keeping up with their usual cleanliness, but every member does their part. They have strategically added more disinfectants within reach, paper towels, and disinfectant wipes. Which makes it easy for everyone to use their equipment and wipe it once done. All members are required to wear masks, and I've seen everyone following through in doing so. I'm glad they are back open. It's keeping me in line. High blood pressure, hypertension, and diabetes run in my family. I'm glad this place is open so I can put in the work, and avoid what most would call inherit genes. I dropped 12 pounds since they opened back up. Just glad I can keep up and sticking on the path of healthy, and strong. read more

Let me start off by saying this gym is fantastic. I am from Sacramento and visit my sister in Duarte every few months. I have been to two 24 Hour Fitness' around town and the Duarte Fitness Center, Anytime Fitness is by far the best gym in the area. The gym is incredibly clean and well kept. The bathrooms are immaculate which is pretty hard to find in a gym. There are free weights, a cable system, a squat rack, machines, TRX, treadmills, bikes, a stair master, a rower, and an aerobics room stocked with additional weights and bikes. The manager/owner was very polite and professional. I would recommend this gym to anyone visiting or living in the area. read more

Forget all of the other gyms! Once you have been to this gym is a whole different world! Bree and Erick are great owners, always on top of everything, from cleaning, sanitizing, to making sure you, as a member are happy at their gym. Helen & Jorel are trainers here and they are super helpful when you ask a question, even if you're not their personal client. At other gyms the trainers will not even talk to you if they're not making money out of you. This is one of the reason I have decided to start with a personal trainer here. No one judges you, looks at you dirty, everyone is doing their own thing and everyone keeps the gym clean which is super important (even before Covid) definitely recommend signing up! It seems to be a good gym but they have an unreasonable cancellation policy where you have to pay in full amount till your one year contract expires. Even when you rent a house and you want to break the lease there is one month of pay for cancellation.....They are even more strict. So if you enroll please be careful about this policy.
