When I signed up online, I was initially put on the wait list. I called and spoke to Madeline the day before and she went ahead and confirmed I would be in the class. She told me to arrive 15 mins early, and to bring a water and grippy socks. If I didn't have any, they had some for purchase inside the club. (Side note, you can get a 3pk from Marshall's for 9.99!) When I arrived, Madeline greeted me, had me sign the waiver and off I went. Upon first glance in the studio, it looked a wee bit intimidating since there was all this equipment and I knew none of what it was for. Amy, who was a sub instructor, led our class and was very thorough with all her instructions and demonstrations. Prior to the start of class, she went through and asked each person on any previous/current injuries and how to best make adjustments. The class was challenging at times but fun. Once we finished, Madeline explained the different tier memberships, as well as the different classes offered and where the other locations were. I highly recommend the intro class to anyone looking to get a feel of what Pilates is. I can't wait to come back.

Eagle Gym is an old school hardcore bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, boxing club type gym…read more If you love the sound of 45lb iron plates slamming together and you want to get brutally strong, Eagle Gym is the place for you. You can chalk up your hands, go for that new deadlift PR, and the gym will be cheering you on. Now under new ownership the gym is expanding into kickboxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, MMA, etc. I first stepped foot into Eagle Gym over 15 years ago and loved the place ever since. Rick King the original founder and owner of Eagle Gym is a legend in the bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman world, and Matt (the previous owner/manager) is also an extremely nice man with an extensive knowledge of bodybuilding, strongman, and powerlifting. I have a lot of fond memories training strongman events in the parking lot behind Eagle Gym or just getting my pump on inside the gym going down the dumbbell rack. I just signed up to the gym last week, met the new owners (who are very nice people), and I am excited to begin regularly going to the gym. I live 35 minutes away from the gym and I drive past a ton of gyms to make it to Eagle Gym. I am looking forward to the future of Eagle Gym keeping the hardcore bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, and boxing culture it is known for while also expanding the gym to include kickboxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, and MMA. The gym membership is extremely affordable, and the new owners are very easy to work with. For the cost of some junk food and soda, you can afford a gym membership at Eagle Gym. Do yourself a favor, sign up to Eagle Gym, and get strong, healthy, and learn how to box.

Rick King (one of the managers/owners) is super nice and a friendly guy, and was a bodybuilder back in the day, so he's a legit guy. Although the other owner/manager will get into arguments with you about treating the Dumbells with any less delicacy than a newborn baby. Didn't drop or slam any weights and still was confronted. He is quite hostile in his approach as well. I don't suspect the gym will last that long given the lack of money put into maintaining the place. (Like upgrading to rubber coated dumbells and maintaining the machines instead of getting angry at the customers) Also if cleanliness is a worry for you, this is definitely not the gym, I have seen cockroach, and some places havent or been cleaned or dusted for probably 30 years lol. Personally that did not bother me. Overall for the price it's decent and if your in the location there's not much competition near by.

Nutiformance Gym came highly recommended by a friend, and I can see why! The facility is clean,…read morewell-equipped, and has a great energy. Dale and Ellie, the owners, are incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about building a strong fitness community. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the coaches, Amy Strahan, wasn't what I hoped for. I attended a class that wasn't beginner-friendly, despite being new to the gym. Throughout the session, Amy repeatedly suggested I sign up for one-on-one coaching with her, which felt more like a sales pitch than genuine guidance. It left a sour impression. That said, I'm not giving up on Nutiformance. I plan to return and try classes with other coaches--I believe there's a lot of potential here, and I'm hopeful my next experience will be more supportive and aligned with my fitness level.
