I've been a member of AT for many years, most recently in Arizona, and a member of several other gyms for decades. This Ramona AT was my home gym during the pandemic, and I continue to use it when I visit my family in the area. It's the most spacious, well-stocked and serviced, clean, convenient, value-priced, and friendly gym that I've every visited...by far and hands-down! Here's the good. The bad. and the meh. Location. The gym is 5 minutes from my house which is great! There is no excuse to not go when It's that close. The Personal trainers. I wanted a gym with group classes and there really aren't any in my town but AF does have trainers who work with small groups And that's a good compromise. I think my trainer is really good and I like the classes. But they are extra and that brings me to Cost: AF is not cheap and you will pay extra for the group training. A lot extra. The Red Light Bed: Great for building collagen and I really wanted this as perk. It's first come first serve which is fair but Good Luck on getting in. Anytime I have been there is someone in the room and someone waiting so that perk is useless. Super disappointing and I have simply given up on using it unless I want to drive over and take a chance it's empty. Machines: Tons of them. But I can't speak to them since I am more of a class person Will I continue going after my year contract is up? Doubtful. I don't regret signing up but all in all, I'd rather find a place that is a bit more of a drive and offers group classes that are included. read more

funny how my husband and i called for about 2 weeks... no answer... during "staffed" hours... business hours.... no answer. Finally I left a voicemail "why the f do you have a phone if you don't answer".... called me back the very next morning. Staff is just lazy as F at answering phone. Super annoying. This gym just keeps getting better. It continues to expand. It is clean and has some of the nicest people around. This is a gem in Ramona. None of the other gyms in San Diego even come close to comparison. Lockers with locks, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, hair ties, sauna and hydro massagers are some of the great extras they provide for us. They will be offering members a free subscription to Apple fitness very soon. I am excited to try it out. Thanks to all the staff members. This gym charged me twice a month. I also paid more because I requested that my account be at a month to month basis. Which meant if I stopped paying after one month, they would cancel my membership. This did not happen. Not only did they charge me twice a month, but I got charged extra to still get charged as if I signed for a yearly subscription contract. To boot, they sold it to collections even though it was their fault. Trust at your own will risk and make sure to check your bank statements. read more

I love going to the gym. The people are so helpful and enthusiastic in helping me with programs that make me healthier and strong. I love the manager as she is so involved and so supportive in making my workout a steady routine. I can't say enough how wonderful she is. You know, I've had memberships before but this is a gym where the equipment is clean and always in working order. Their trainers always show great enthusiasm in their work and members also are very helpful to me when I have a question. If I were to move, l'd transfer my membership for sure !! read more

I went to Anytime Fitness' grand opening/ribbon cutting today. What a beautiful gym and such a welcoming environment. Brad and Tiffany were so friendly, helpful, informative, and not pushy in the least. Prices are reasonable and the gym sells itself - a very spacious area with new equipment, great views out expansive windows, and just very nice without being pretentious at all. I've never been much of a gym person, but this is one I would join. Right now there's a 7-day free trial, I recommend anyone interested take advantage of it! read more

I absolutely love anytime! They have so many classes to chose from and there staff IS SO NICE. The manager the managers daughter this blond young girl THEY ARE SO NICE. I signed up for this gym before they opened and I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive if it would ever be completed. I have to say congratulations to Brad for not only succeeding in opening this gym but also for not cutting corners and making his Anytime Fitness gym personable, friendly, clean, and enjoyable to attend. Compared to other gyms, this one definitely sets the bar. All brand new equipment, open 24/7, everything I personally could ask for. Members also get to vote on new equipment. A lot of little things that add up that make it a great place to work out. Tiffany the General Manager and Kira the Personal Trainer are friendly. Also, the patrons at the gym are friendly too. Side note: Another important factor that made me ultimately join this gym is because of the experience I had at the OTHER gym in Ramona. About 4 months ago I experienced such blatant rude behavior from the staff member during a walk through tour it sent me running. It seems they knew they monopolized Ramona and treated people like it was a privilege to walk through their doors. Couldn't believe it and took my business elsewhere. This is the best gym I've ever joined, hands down! So many of the cool features make this place feel like a private gym: complimentary towels to use, a private room with a giant flatscreen and tons of workout videos to choose from, water massage beds, dry heat sauna, a spacious area for small group training, just to name a few. But the best service is small group training. Thor Garcia is a wonderful and knowledgeable trainer, and he always has a modified exercise to do if the planned one is too hard. Plus, he is very uplifting and is constantly giving me positive reinforcement while I train with him. I love this gym! read more

I love anytime fitness! It's really clean, there is always space to work out, the employees are all super friendly and I always feel welcome. Of course the only thing that could make it better is having childcare, but I'll just hope that's a future option! I'd pay extra to drop my kiddos off while I work out! I can't say enough good things about this place. When my husband and I moved to town, we didn't really find what we were looking for in a gym (reasonably priced, plenty of free weights and quality equipment, good staff) but AF Ramona was in the works and we were very impressed with Brad's (the owner) vision and plan for this place and joined before opening. It has been just what we need and even more than we knew to be looking for. The owner Brad, GM Tiffany and personal trainer Kira are all truly dedicated to this, not just as a business, but providing the very best to their members and jump hurdles to make it a gym for all kinds. They work hard to keep everything clean and in order. There's TONS of space for floor workouts, an enclosable room with access to a huge library of workout videos, a free weight area I have never felt too packed in, and the best variety of cardio machines I have ever seen in a gym (not just treadmills, stationary bikes and boring basic ellipticals). They are incredibly humble and receptive to feedback and, while we all know it's impossible to make everyone happy, they don't seem to accept that. Continually improving and catering to the needs of their members, we just love this place and the people making it what it is. I would include pictures but a previous reviewer did a great job of that, check them out. Finally, your membership gives to access to AF locations all over the world and while we wish we could spend every workout at Ramona, we travel a lot and having access to the entire network is awesome. Not your typical 1 star rating. They are con artists and absolute dirtbags. I'm from out of town and have an anytime fitness membership. I paid in front for the year to support the gym. I Have a key fob, and an ID. They misspelled my name at the counter and couldn't scan my Fob. But okay, no problem. I have the receipt. The owner suggested my receipt was either photoshoppe or fake. Then after all the commotion they suggested I buy a second membership. To a gym I'm already a member to. How laughable. I had them reach out to my home gym and verify my information, but by then I no longer felt welcome due to their aggressive behavior an Update: Not a truthful or forthcoming rebuttal on your part. I have visited various anytime fitness facility's throughout the United States. It scans in every single location, outside of yours. Where it to your convenience was "broken." I did not realize Anytime fitness was so hard up for revenue that deceit and extortion would be used to extract a measly 5 dollars from a patron. Additionally, the access code on the back of the Keyfob is entirely legible, which you claimed was "damaged" if necessary, I can post a picture to verify my claim and embarrass you further. read more

2 star for me, 5 star for most people. I'll start by saying, I hate Fitness gyms. But i NEED to work out... a bad back injury had me sitting around for a few years and i'd like my cloths to fit again. Things i like: The Staff is friendly. The gym is clean. There is a good assortment of Cardio, Weight Machines and Freeweights. The gym is open 24hrs. Things I dislike, (mostly due to personal preference, probably a non-issue for most people): Full of the classic, "Gym Trope" sort of people, (except for the Roid-Ragin' Screamer... blessedly absent!). Usual terrible gym music over the speakers but not too loud. Pricey for what it is. Feels a little cramped but they have made great use of the space. If you like Fitness gyms you'll love AF Ramona. If you hate Fitness gyms go anyway... this is the best deal in town. read more

Been a member for over a year and loving every part of it. I've missed the gym greatly the past few months. 24 hour access, gyms around the world are 2 reasons I love being an anytime member. Regarding the Ramona gym, Brad is so kind and helpful and genuinely cares about all of his members. The gym always feels very clean and sanitized. The equipment is new, modern and well maintained. Brad, the owner, has created a great local gym with brand new cardio and strength-conditioning equipment that is actually smooth and QUIET while you use it ( no loud, creaking chains). Jeez loueez... People can be stupid sometimes. I'm really not trying to be disparaging or unkind but good lord. I called to inquire about their month to month membership and spoke with "Brad" who informed me that their month to month is "rather expensive" at $54 a month, which actually isn't that bad. He then went on to try and sell me on a "better option" which was a 15 dollar sign up and 5 dollars a day after that.......... Well over a hundred dollars a month if I came in 5 times a week and about $150 a month if I came in every day. Not sure what kind of math he was doing in his head if he thought $54 a month was "rather expensive" while trying to sell me on a plan that was roughly three times the price of the monthly plan I asked about. I have been a member of Anytime Fitness on and off for a few years and recently my family rejoined the Ramona facility. Most of the gyms are clean nice facilities and low key staff. This facility is different. It has the best equipment and space I have seen at Anytime. The staff is cordial and very helpful but not overbearing. Tiffany, the manager, is absolutely delightful. She is so kind and witty and she helped me try to find a lost one of a kind wedding band tonight. She went above and beyond and I thank her for her help! read more

Anytime Fitness In Ramona was a perfect fit and choice for me ,From the great affordability to the staff to the up to date equipment you just cant go wrong with this place. I have had very few good experiences at a gym and often end up wasting my money on a membership but with anytime fitness I have motivation and drive to keep going back. The facility is so inviting and welcoming I never feel uncomfortable working out and the staff answer any questions you might have so you can learn to use a machine properly. The 24 hour access was a must have for me and this business offers it, I always feel safe even if its 1 am. I could go on all day about the hydro massage as well but that was a surprise perk that i didnt know about with my membership and now i make sure to utilize that service everytime it makes work outs so much gentler on my battered body. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness in Ramona for all ages all shapes all sizes you will be welcomed and you will get your moneys worth. read more
