Five star recommendation! I have been going to Performance EDU for a couple of months. I retired from a very active job in January 2021. Walking almost every day wasn't enough to keep me fit and it became obvious motivation to work on my overall health and fitness was necessary. My trainer at Performance EDU (Collin LaPorte) has the experience and training to help me work on various parts of my body, focusing on different muscle groups each session. My best friend has been working out here for two years so this recommendation comes from her as well. Watching all the different fitness coaches here work with people who have varying degrees of endurance and goals reassures me that they all are capable at what they do. Cannot say enough good things about Performance EDU. I am recovering from a bunch of old injuries that have hindered my mobility, and they are incredible at working with all of this. I've been attending 3x/week since February, with only a few days off, and am stronger than I have been in over 2 decades. The staff is so kind, while they also cheer you on to work hard and do things that maybe you forgot you could do. I was a little apprehensive at first, I walked in thinking "this place is way too small" but it's never too busy, Ryan and Marc are are awesome and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere here is fun and relaxed! Jonathan is my favorite but it's probably because I followed him. Lol. I get everything I need out of this place and more! I have been going to Performance EDU since April 2017. I work with Rachel, who has been my trainer for 7 years. The gym is great, and never feels crowded. I enjoy all that work there, and find them very knowledgeable about the body and movement. I work with Ryan, who keeps my body moving well. I am training with Lauren. I like that she stays with me throughout the session watching by body the entire time. Lauren continues to remind me to activate muscles, she counts for me (which I love!) and we are continually changing up the routine, time flies by!! She is great with meal plans and recipes. It is great to begin the session each time with a very deep stretch and massage when needed. I would highly recommend the facility and I echo that the entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. To be honest, my first thought upon entering PEDU, was that it was small. But don't let that fool you. I'll admit, I was apprehensive at first about it's size, thinking bigger is always better. Wrong! PEDU is never crowded because they focus on quality rather than quantity. We've all tried working out in those giant group exercise classes offered at the big-name gyms, and let's all admit it, they suck! PEDU keeps their group classes just the right size, so that quality training is never sacrificed. PEDU has a wide variety of top of the line equipment. I never feel like I'm doing the same thing on the same piece of equipment. Variety is the spice of life, isn't it? Lauren Neil is my trainer and I can't recommend her enough. She has exceptional knowledge in nutrition and cooking in addition to her personal training expertise. Keep your eyes out for her posted Recipe of the Week. I also thoroughly enjoy my interaction with the other trainers as well. It's easy to see that the trainers all genuinely enjoy working together and are often found sharing knowledge and helping one another grow and improve. PEDU feels like a family. I came to Performance EDU after struggling to progress in physical therapy after hip surgery. Marc has done an incredible job at taking my whole body into account when trying to reduce the amount of pain I'm in when I work out. Whenever I go in to the facility, someone is there to guide my progression through the rehab stage. All the trainers give me their undivided attention and are always willing to step-in to give advice and encouragement.
