I immediately joined, results are still coming in. This place is my new home, I look forward to having some where to go, and love the coachs and other members. I have finally realized I'm strong enough to do this, and loving every minute of it.

I saw better results with this type of training. Incorporating weight training has really helped me become stronger. The trainers are friendly and knowledgeable. They are always concerned with proper form and technique, not how many reps or how heavy you are lifting. But if they know you can challenge yourself more, they will not be too shy to tell you. All the other members are very friendly and I have formed great friendships here. I have done several challenges, from Lean Jeans, 15 in 6 and 21 day detox, all with lots of success. I joined after my 3rd child was born and I struggled to lose body fat. I got done to my ideal weight and got pregnant with my 4th and last child. I am currently trying to shed that baby weight and learn how to make better eating choices and habits. My first 15 in 6, my youngest was only 6 months old and I lost 30 pounds in 2 rounds just in time for my 40th birthday. Unfortunately, life happens and I put that weight back on. I recently concluded a 15 in 6 challenge and was able to lose 16 pounds. I plan on continuing the diet on my own and will continue to attend classes 5 days a week. I have done strength class for over 2 years now and I am addicted. New personal records this year under the personal guidance of Dr. Ryan Gawron. He continues to challenge me beyond my comfort zone and he has shown me that I can do more at 42. Age is nothing but a number in his eyes. I highly recommend this gym. I have had plenty of other memberships. This is the one gym that I am excited to go to everyday. Take a chance on yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Excellent boutique fitness gym in the heart of crown point. MWM stands for Miles with Misty - the…read moreoriginal running training program. They have beginner's 5K/8K group training options through the year with races like the shamrock shuffle being the end goal. But Misty has a number of marathons and ultra marathons on her resume, so more advanced runners would find experienced coaching here too. I don't enjoy running, so I'm often participating in one of the several group fitness training sessions like bootcamp, strength and core, women's strength training, and yoga. I have the fitness freedom plan that allows me monthly unlimited classes, personal training discounts, a VO2MAX or Resting metabolic rate test, and other perks. If you are an endurance athlete the VO2MAX test is a MUST! Misty will break down the numbers and consult on training and nutrition. The RMR test is good for those interested in calorie counting and understanding food as fuel. You don't have to sign a contract to attend a class. Drop ins are $12 and there are a number of different membership options. If you are looking for a headstart on your health goals and need accountability, the "choose to lose" program combines that, nutrition coaching, dedicated group classes with people on the same journey. It seems all the exercises are scalable, so all shapes, genders, and fitness backgrounds can find something that works for them. My only suggestion: if you are new to fitness, I highly recommend personal training or two with one of the trainers before jumping into a group session. There can be 3-16 people in a class. I think you should get personal attention before attending to get basic form down so 1) you don't hurt yourself and 2) you get the most out of each movement. Also! A recent pet peeve of mine is all the salt on the gym floor recently. Please change out of your street shoes before class. :)

I was a member of this gym for about 6 months…read more The good- I did like the workouts. I'm not a runner and I liked that it motivated me to run. It's not like just run for 10 minutes..they have various programs and you can power walk or jog/run. The strength was on a screen and you would be at a small area and do your workouts with people very close to you. The bad- While some people think this is great, It came off to me as fake. They will remember your name but nothing else about you. It's almost like they have your picture in a back room and make the staff memorize it. That is the vibe I got. Every coach and front desk staff knew my name but couldn't remember that I'm a single mom on a very tight schedule and could only make it to the classes in the middle of the day. Which brings me to the reason I actually quit... I could only come on my lunch break and it was a struggle with traffic to get there on time. I had originally signed up as there was a 4pm class on Fridays and when my son started preschool in September I would be able to go to a class after work and then be able to pick him up by 5:30. So after racing out my door on my lunch break and racing home I was looking forward to this time slot. Once September rolled around and I could benefit from this time slot it was gone AND around that same time I showed up 6 minutes late to a class that was not full but told I couldn't go in because I was late BUT they could get me into a later class. My response was a sigh and I can't make it to a 5:30 class because I have to go pickup my 3 year old son from daycare. I had been going to the same class time for 5 months. A friend of mine who coaches at another OTF told me due to their insurance policy they can't let in anyone five minutes late or over. Icing on the cake the next week I was there and they let an extra person into the strength class so they worked in a corner when there already isn't much room. Normally, I wouldn't care but I was still bitter because apparently rules only matter to certain people. Also when I was there the a/c was out for about a week in summer - not their fault but it was pretty uncomfortable and I swear they didn't dust the fan above the corner treadmill ever. I would avoid that treadmill like the plague because I felt like dust was falling all over me. AND be weary of all the super positive reviews, one month I was there you got an extra entry in some contest if you wrote a review and showed them. Back to the good- the coaches were pleasant. I liked some personality's better than others but there was no individuality to the classes so no matter who taught it the class would be the same. I did REALLY like the heart rate monitors and felt them very motivating. Overall, if you are looking for a place to be able to get in and out and not think about your own programming and the schedule works for you, I'd recommend.
