They do a great job of rotating different equipment too like battle ropes, kettle bells, TRX, plyo boxes, etc. It's not a huge gym so everyone becomes a friendly face. There are fun competitions throughout the year with t-shirts giveaways that build camaraderie. I also like seeing how many calories I've burned via the heart rate monitor. To be in the surrounding Los Angeles area and be able to workout at a place that feels like home is the best; and this is what this gym provides. Everyone (that I have met so far) that works there is extremely sweet and caring. The people who workout there are exactly the same. People mind their business for sure, but you somehow still get a friendly vibe from everyone. There are people at this gym that have been a member for 30+ years, so I suppose there's a reason why this place has survived so long. The current ownership is doing a great job of running the place. I will have to say though, if you're looking for a clean cut place, then this may not be the place for you. This gives "old-school, bodybuilding gym" vibes and I'm here for it. Oh and also, I don't know if this will help but this is coming from someone who has had a Gold's, Equinox, LA Fitness, and 24 membership.
