This Y has the attached posted in the ladies locker room area. I have to add to my previous review that the front area receptionist,

This Y deserves to have definitely a 5 stars. The equipments are all updated and very new compared to other local Ys and the other gyms I go to like 24hrs Fitness and LA Fitness. The cycling bikes are the latest bikes that I have seen in any cycling studios around this area. The treadmills are all the latest model. The gym is super clean and spotless. There are sanitizer bottles in every room and at the entrance. The Group exercise classes have the best instructors I ever had in any of my other classes in any other gyms. The schedule of these classes are perfect for morning workouts and I love the outdoor pool which has always have a line for me for lap swimming. Overall this gym has it ALL for many activities .

Closed at 8pm, they turn sauna's off at 7:30. The facility is decent..BUT In today's world, A GYM SHOULD BE OPEN PAST 8PM AND OPEN ON SUNDAYS!!!! This is the most ridiculous policy in today's WORKING WORLD. Do better, people who are working sometimes don't even get to the gym until 7 or 8 pm. And closing a gym on Sunday, a day where most people get off and are able to actually go to the gym is ludicrous at well. This is a cop out, this is a excuse not to pay overhead facility cost or increase employee hours and staffing. Get it together you are not THAT Budget friendly anymore anyways.

Love the ymca. Equipment is great there's is a fairly vast variety ranging all the way from cardio to weights. There are yoga rooms and it even has a pool. The workers are always nice, greet me when I come in. However one setback might be that the building is a little old that the equipment shows as well which explains the four star. Parking is also great there are always open spots that's very convenient. But besides that the ymca is great for weight training, cardio, swimming, or if you want to use the sauna. Sadly there are no basketball courts.

The Crescenta Valley Family YMCA just opened this week and the community is lucky to have a new one in town. Previously, the property was owned by another gym, but I can see lots of benefits coming in the future with the YMCA in charge. One benefit is that members will be able to go to one of three locations in the Crescenta Valley. There is one in La Canada and another in Tujunga. All three have pools, but this one is the only one that has a nice outdoor pool. I will continue to use their facility in La Canada, but I am looking forward to swimming in the pool at this new location.

Staff here never answers the phone calls no matter what time of day it is. Seriously? I'm happy they decided to open another YMCA in this area, even though we already have two locations within a ten minute drive. This isn't a crazy nice gym, but it has everything you need. There's an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, day care center, and of course workout rooms. I am loving the circuit room that they added to this gym - it's my new favorite go-to spot. It would be nice if they switched up the music in the circuit room every once in awhile. As much as I love those songs, I'm beginning to sing them in my sleep because of how many times I've heard them. I also think they really need to change up the lighting in many of the workout rooms because it feels very draining. It reminds me of the lighting in a doctors office, please make it a warmer tone! This gym has a lot of kids and older folks so it's very family oriented. You won't find too many half dressed Instagram models taking gym selfies in mirrors here (thank God). They also have tons of different fun classes held at the facility.

Only reason I have a membership here is for the steam room and it's ALWAYS broken!!!!!! This is the men's steam room.

This gym is more for family or novice lifters, but this Lowell location has most and I usually don't leave the same 2 rooms.

This really is the best gym in town if that's all you're looking for; a gym. It has every single fundamental workout equipment you'll ever need. Everything from cardio machines, free weights, to weight lifting machines. It doesn't offer anything besides that (no classes, and etc) but with that being said, the membership price reflects that. To be in the surrounding Los Angeles area and be able to workout at a place that feels like home is the best; and this is what this gym provides. Everyone (that I have met so far) that works there is extremely sweet and caring. The people who workout there are exactly the same. People mind their business for sure, but you somehow still get a friendly vibe from everyone. There are people at this gym that have been a member for 30+ years, so I suppose there's a reason why this place has survived so long. The current ownership is doing a great job of running the place. I will have to say though, if you're looking for a clean cut place, then this may not be the place for you. This gives "old-school, bodybuilding gym" vibes and I'm here for it. Oh and also, I don't know if this will help but this is coming from someone who has had a Gold's, Equinox, LA Fitness, and 24 membership. Not to say that I didn't like the other gyms, but so far.. overall? This one is my favorite. (I love Equinox obviously but for VERY different reasons)

First day I arrived around 2ish it was a bit busy but got parking right away - Should be noted they do have a very small onsite parking lot (the two days I visited, I was lucky enough to get a spot) all free weights, machines and punching bags are down stairs, cardio upstairs (not a lot of machines) They have ton of sanitizing stations but I'm glad they realized reusing the same rag isn't sanitary at all, actually one is just spreading more germs. Overall, I liked the décor at the gym, the amenities and cleanliness.... I would highly recommend this gym if you live in the area. I stayed in between this gym and the 24-hour fitness in Burbank and I would choose this gym in a heartbeat! Come give them a try!

I started working out at Lift two months ago, and I absolutely love it…read more The workouts are effective and efficient, and, if you're a nerd like me, it's interesting to hear Dirk and Chenell talk about how the movements strengthen different muscle groups. They're always nearby to make sure my form is correct, and they never lose patience when I ask them to remind me how to do certain moves. Speaking of supervision, I went to Lift today for the first time in about a week and a half, and I told Chenell that I've been experiencing some pain in my left shoulder. She sent Dirk outside to talk to me about it, and after I described my symptoms, he re-wrote part of my workout and continued to check in to make sure I wasn't in any pain. I felt super safe and respected, and there was ZERO pressure for me to push through any discomfort. Hiiiighly recommend this place!

It has been years since I've stepped foot in a gym, and I'm not young, so I had misgivings about how the training would go, but those misgivings have disappeared. I have always been active in one form or another, first as a (modest) school athlete, then in the military, and finally just interested in general fitness, but my time with Chenell, Dirk, and Emilie has yielded results (already?!) I've never felt or seen before. Going into this, I submitted information about my background and goals, and I feel it's clear that the team really listened and that I am on a tailored program directly addressing my goals. I am by no means an expert in weightlifting, and thus far have needed many reminders about which exercise is which, what the movements are, etc. but I always feel comfortable asking for those reminders. Dirk and/or Chenell, and/or Emilie are consistently close by for those reminders, or to help with adjustments to form, and pointing out if it might be time to increase resistance (weights) because of increased strength over time. I told myself I was "only" going to do two workouts per week when I started, and almost immediately (and eagerly) bumped it up to three workouts per weeks since I could feel and see positive results almost from the very beginning. I've since discovered that some close friends have also had great experiences at Lift Silverlake, and I've already found myself recommending it to friends based on my experience there.
