My first and last time going here. Very small place. A customer and a nail tech named Erin were talking very loudly and graphically about oral sex. I mean, it was nasty. Nobody else was talking, just hearing this. It was so awkward. The tech who was doing my toes looked embarrassed and just said sorry. The owner was sitting in the middle and said nothing. So I spoke up and said hey guys you might want to tone that down. Customer and nail tech Erin then begin whispering to each other and I clearly heard nail tech Erin say 'I don't give a fuck' and then glared at me. Real classy. I won't be back. read more

On 5/22/17 I went to the A & P Nail Salon in Yelm about 1:50pm. I requested a lip wax and to trim some hair around my nose. An Asian woman did the wax. She applied the wax very thick and in a sloppy way to the right side of my upper lip without any prep and proceeded to "rip away" in a way that caused me to jerk my head in response to the intense pain (10/10). I was stunned. She then proceeded to do the left side with less wax and again "ripped away" which burned my upper lip. I informed her that she was very rough, and started to jerk my head away from her hands. She applied a soothing ointment, but while doing so she mashed my nose repeatedly until I grabbed her hand and told her to stop. During this time I was jerking my face from left to right and telling her that she was too rough and was causing me considerable pain.. She intensified her assault on my face and did not respond to me. The wax job resulted in third degree chemical burns to my upper lip and nose with a potential for permanent scarring. Today I had a visit with "Olympia Dermatology" @ 424 Lilly RD SE in Olympia WA 98506 and they confirmed the above diagnosis. I will now need reparative treatments in an attempt to minimize the scarring and damage done to my face. I believe this was this on purpose to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible. I am filing a formal complaint against this shop. As a medical professional this type of treatment should not happen to any human being and they are using dangerous chemical in a reckless way. . I WOULD NOT WISH THE PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT HAS BEEN INFLICTED ON ME TO ANYONE. RUN.... DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS SALON. read more

I went in to get my eyebrows done for the first time at this particular salon, kind of in a hurry, but was willing to wait. I walked in and one of the women said it would be a couple minutes, so I helped myself to the restroom. When I came out of the restroom, she had changed my wait time to 15 minutes. I accepted, and sat down to wait my turn. After 20 minutes of (impatiently) waiting, another costumer walked in (in which it sounded like she was there earlier but did not want to wait) and the woman that worked there told her that she would be next, that she had an "appointment", and she clearly did not. Had the worst experience here! I didn't even want to give them 1 star. The 2 lady's working kept switching back and forth between myself and another lady getting a pedicure. A girl came in to get acrylic nails while we were there and they had no idea what she was talking about. A guy sitting there called someone to translate for them and after waiting, the girl was told that they didn't know how to do acrylic nails and she would have to come back the next day. The lady next to me asked for red tips and a sparkly polish all over her toe nails. The lady made a huge mess of them and covered most of her toe nail with the red polish then came and painted my toes. My toes are a mess and I could have done this good at home. After she was done with mine, she went back to the other lady and started cleaning up the mess that she made of hers. After waiting for mine to dry, I got up to pay and leave. The lady who was painting our toes left the other lady again to take my money. The other customer finally had enough and stated that she had been there for over 2 hours sitting in the chair and was once again being left so that they could help me. She had obviously been there quite a while longer than me. The lady working there started hugging her and saying..sorry, sorry, sorry. It was super weird and awkward. After 2 hours in the chair, her toes still weren't painted, she missed a dinner date with family and left without her toes being done. I seriously doubt that these ladies were licensed with the state. I would never go back to this place. Very unprofessional and the place was a mess. I can't believe that they are even open. read more
