I called the day ahead for our appointment and they asked for us to come in first thing in the morning. They never asked for our information so I'm not sure how they keep track of their appointments because they were super busy for a Friday morning. There were a few people who were turned away while I'm we were there. My mom got a gel manicure and I got a volcano pedicure and gel manicure. The reason I gave four stars instead of five was for two reasons. The first, it took so long. We arrived at 930 and didn't leave until 1130. My manicure was quick but my pedicure took awhile. I don't know if it's because I got more than the basic and haven't had my toes done in years but that's the longest I've ever been in a nail salon. The second reason is because my mom paid ahead of time after she was done with her manicure but we ended up having to pay a difference because the glitter on my nails was not included in a normal gel manicure. It's not too big of a deal but it would have been nice to have been told that when I was asked if I wanted to do anything on my nail. Overall we are really happy with our nails and will definitely be going back. I even purchased a gift certificate at the end so my husband could go in and get his feet taken care of.

Service was pretty good except one nail technician apparently had a number of nail colors that only she can use. So if she's not doing your nails then you can't use them. Inside looks upscale and it's cute. They are on the pricier side in my experience. And they charged me an extra $5 for a broken nail. I had 2 nails break 2 days after I was there and 2 more break a couple of days later. Normally I can go 3 weeks between fills. And I do occasionally have a nail break. But NOT like this. I went beck in to have them fixed and they tried to make me get a complete fill....or PAY $5 A NAIL to have them fixed!! Unless I have some crazy nail emergency.....I won't be back!!!

As a person who's been getting her nails done and has done her own nails since she was 15 I have a grasp of the knowledge of the nail structure and how to work with acrylic, builder gel and other nail product mediums. This woman applied black to three quarters of my nail when she should have put it just below where my nail growth started. She did not clean her brush, nor did she use new monimer. She used old reused monimer as it had stuff floating in the bottom. She nor her other employee was wearing a mask. I paid for my nails and left more than just upset. This place needs to be inspected and or shut down!

Well, she put a white tip instead of doing clear & using polish, assuring me it would look better. I trusted her, she was supposed to be the pro right!? I have never done the ombre gel nails so I had no idea! I told her at other nail salons, the tech always cuts the sides to do the coffin shape. She said no it's okay she is going to file it, then after she gets the acrylic on & clear polish she is going to file it again. Again, she is the pro so I trusted her. I kept telling her after she filed the second time, my nails are uneven & they are square. She said no they are even, & that was the best she could do for the shape. I was highly irritated that she kept arguing so I just said whatever she pretty much said she can't fix it. The uv gel polish was $5 extra which is fine with me as it lasts longer. My pedicure was horrible, the massage was about 2 minutes. She almost cut me when cutting my toe nails so I asked her to please just file them ( this was an older lady ), so she did. It took a total of 20 mins for my pedicure! I was really just over it & thought maybe I would be happy with my nails but that was a total disappointment! I chose white polish for my toes, horrible paint job! I do NOT recommend this place & wouldn't go here again! What a waste of $60!! I'll have to go spend more money tomorrow to fix this bs!!

I have been going to this establishment for about a year and their customer service towards people…read moreof color is disrespectful. They will NOT acknowledge you, but when other individuals come into their place of business, they go out of their way to speak. I tolerated this behavior because Sam does great work and I couldn't find anyone in the area that could do nails the way I like them. I faithfully get my nails (hands only) done every month and pay at least $150. I never questioned why I had to pay $150 or $190, I just paid it and always include a tip. Do I think they were overcharging me, YES, but I still paid for the nails. My very last experience with this establishment hurt my feelings. I didn't like the way they didn't acknowledge me and I spoke as I entered, as I do every time. The owner or her husband yelled at me when I asked when was my two broke nails were going to be fixed. I am not sure if Sam used a different product or did something different but I had gotten my nails done on a Thursday. One nail broke on the following Friday. I went to the shop for them to fix it that Friday. Then on Saturday another nail broke. I called the shop and the owner requested that I come in on Monday to fix the nail after work. Monday came, another nail broke, and I received a text stating Sam was sick and could I come Tuesday after work. I stated sure and that I hope Sam feels better. They knew i was coming in after work but yet I had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours before she fixed my two broke nails. Not only did they ignore my presence but he yelled at my stating the other lady has appointment, as if I didn't have one. Communication is key. They could have spoken to me when I entered, let me know that there was an appointment ahead of me, and asked if i could come back at a certain time. But they yelled at me. I sat quietly ONLY because I had a flight to catch the very next day. Additionally, when I came into the establishment on Friday for a fix, there was a lady that had an appointment with Sam. We were talking about my nails, I'm giving Sam praise on her work. The lady stated that I could go before her since it was just one nail. I stated thank you. She even went as far as to letting Sam know that it was OK for me to go, she didn't mind. Sam said NO. I waited patiently. I even offered to pay for the broke nail even though I didn't do anything out the normal to cause the break. I treat people with respect and I expect the same treatment, especially if I am spending money in your establishment. I was a loyal customer, I referred people to Sam. I have never acted unprofessional in your establishment. If you are an individual of color, please don't go to any nail shop in Yelm, especially THIS nail shop. I'm giving you a 1 star because of how you treated me, how you made me feel, how you tried to embarrass me in front of an establishment full of white people. Sam is rude, the owners are rude. You should work on your customer service skills.

On 5/22/17 I went to the A & P Nail Salon in Yelm about 1:50pm…read more I requested a lip wax and to trim some hair around my nose. An Asian woman did the wax. She applied the wax very thick and in a sloppy way to the right side of my upper lip without any prep and proceeded to "rip away" in a way that caused me to jerk my head in response to the intense pain (10/10). I was stunned. She then proceeded to do the left side with less wax and again "ripped away" which burned my upper lip. I informed her that she was very rough, and started to jerk my head away from her hands. She applied a soothing ointment, but while doing so she mashed my nose repeatedly until I grabbed her hand and told her to stop. During this time I was jerking my face from left to right and telling her that she was too rough and was causing me considerable pain.. She intensified her assault on my face and did not respond to me. The wax job resulted in third degree chemical burns to my upper lip and nose with a potential for permanent scarring. Today I had a visit with "Olympia Dermatology" @ 424 Lilly RD SE in Olympia WA 98506 and they confirmed the above diagnosis. I will now need reparative treatments in an attempt to minimize the scarring and damage done to my face. I believe this was this on purpose to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible. I am filing a formal complaint against this shop. As a medical professional this type of treatment should not happen to any human being and they are using dangerous chemical in a reckless way. . I WOULD NOT WISH THE PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT HAS BEEN INFLICTED ON ME TO ANYONE. RUN.... DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS SALON.

I decided to take a risk and try it our despite the other reviews. Since I have been moving and on my feet unpacking for the last few weeks I couldn't wait for a pedicure. I must say, they didn't disappoint! I got the sea salt and the massage was so long and wonderful! Staff were very nice. My feet and legs feel so much better my toes were painted very nicely. No complaints. Good job ladies!
