My go to nail service . Come monthly for fill and pedicure. Friendly staff and they do a great job on services. Would highly recommend.

I'm only giving 2 starts because the service at the time was great. Gentlemen that did my nails was very nice! Service was pretty good except one nail technician apparently had a number of nail colors that only she can use. So if she's not doing your nails then you can't use them. Inside looks upscale and it's cute. They are on the pricier side in my experience. And they charged me an extra $5 for a broken nail. I had 2 nails break 2 days after I was there and 2 more break a couple of days later. Normally I can go 3 weeks between fills. And I do occasionally have a nail break. But NOT like this. I went beck in to have them fixed and they tried to make me get a complete fill....or PAY $5 A NAIL to have them fixed!! Unless I have some crazy nail emergency.....I won't be back!!! read more

After a refund and text from the manager I'll update my review to two stars. I still think it's unacceptable to have people doing nails that don't know what they're doing & charging people. Other people I've spoke to feel the same about this salon. This is based on the last few times I've come here. I tried giving them a chance, but it's just a waste of money every time. Last time I spent about 6 hours here just so someone could redo my fill and French tip toes that someone else in this salon botched. Other times I've had to go home and fix it myself. One of the ladies has a bad attitude and talked poorly about other workers. I don't go get my nails done to hear your drama, & leave with bad nails. Today I just simply wanted my acrylic nails removed. It was a very young boy that had NO clue what he was doing. After he burnt some of my nails I told him to just stop. He would have kept filing my entire real nail away if I didn't say stop. How can you have people working here that don't know what they're doing and charge people full price? Bad way to run your business, I don't get it. Go check out Coqueta salon, she is incredible. You don't have many options in Yelm. If you do HAVE to go here... only see Bella or the young kid with curly hair. Everyone else doesn't know what they're doing. Don't let the glamorous remodel fool you. read more

Update: owner reached out and offered a $30 credit We had reservations on 6/15 for 4 pedicures. I'm not sure why you make an appt when they don't leave the chairs open. Got seated 25 mins after appointment. I paid for two pedicures for me and my daughter. My daughter asked for French tips on her toes and the lady doing hers did a terrible job and had to be fixed by younger gentleman which then took way longer. I'm happy the lady acknowledged she couldn't do it correctly but it took so long . Her service was definitely not worth the $50 for what she got and they skipped a few steps in pedi that she was supposed to have. Her friend next to her had two additional things and we chose same service. I had Vivian doing mine and it was the worst experience I have ever had here. My pedicure was beyond rushed. Like she kept staring at me and I felt so uncomfortable. It was far from relaxing. She was going so fast like she wanted to finish quickly. The towels that she put on my legs were not even warm. They are supposed to be hot and these were neither warm or hot. She barely got any skin off my heels and Theresa had to come over after she was done and fix it after Vivian left (I'm assuming lunch break). Theresa was the sweetest to come over and fixed the problem and she knew it was not right because she was doing my friends feet that was right next to me. It was awful. I don't get a pedicure often but when I do I'm a loyal customer to QT and it supposed to be a relaxing experience. I am disappointed on both of our experiences today. I messaged them just to get a response to get 15% off my next service. They want me to come back for another service even though I was highly unsatisfied. I responded back to them with no response. I booked online, which was very convieniet, but I am not quite sure if the staff look at that, because when I got there and got seated, they still asked me what services I needed. I pulled a tendon on my right foot a few weeks ago and advised the technician, he was extra careful for that foot. Appreciated that. Tried to powder dip polish with my manicure. It turned out beautiful! Made my stumpy old fingers look nice. Was surprised tho on how many steps are required for the dip polish. I learned a lot! Definitely will be back soon. First, I'd like to state that I'm new to the area/state. I went online to look up nail salons in Yelm, WA and this one was the highest rated at a 3.5 which in my opinion isn't good at all. Sad, really, but I can't drive far because I'm a care provider for my dad and I can't leave him for more than an hour or two at a time. When I called the phone rang 6 or 7 times before anyone picked up. I asked if they were busy. I was told "no". I called about 10:30am. I asked if I could come in at 11:15 or 11:30 or if they were busy I could wait. The gal stated 11:30am. I said okay, that I'd be in. She didn't ask for my name so I provided it to her, but she just said fine and hung up the phone. I didn't think much of it. I went in anyways. When I arrived I was greeted right away. They told me to pick a color. I said I just wanted French tip. They told me to have a seat. I waited about 5 mins before they took me to a chair. They pulled out a liner and stuck it in the foot bath. When I put my feet in the water it was scolding hot. The person that turned it on, checked it for a sec and walked away. The jets were not turned on. It cooled down I could put my feet in, but still the jets had not been turned on. I sat there for 25 mins and the water got ice cold. I started wondering what was taking so long as I had made an appointment and it was now noon. When I looked at the cold water something was floating. I think it was a wad of hair. I started looking around and looked at what is supposed to be white baseboards and they were filthy, the floors were filthy, their carts their supplies were carried on were filthy and even their chairs they sat on were nasty. I am sorry, I understand being busy, but it looks as if that place has never been cleaned. I ended up putting my shoes back on and leaving. Needless to say, I will not be going back. read more

I've been going to QT Nails for a long time. They used to be very nice and would listen to what you wanted, that's really not the case anymore. Time before last the person doing my pedicure started drilling with an E File to get the gel polish off my natural nail. I stopped them at the 3rd toe, I complained and had to explain to a licensed professional why that's not a good thing to do. The toes that she used the E File on ended up breaking and splitting on my nail bed. This visit I brought my 3 nieces to get mani pedis for kids and a pedicure for me. First, we told them we wanted chairs together as my nieces are 5-9yrs old in ages and it was kinda a deal breaker for the 5yr old not to sit together and the same time. They took the kids first and had me wait again after we waited 30 minutes to sit together. By the time my pedicure started the kids were done. The pedicurist started drilling the polish off with an E File. I stopped them immediately and explained, do you see how that nail is hurt & split? That's from you filing off my nail along with the gel polish. She did soak them at that point, pulled the soak off and tried to e file them again! I just said NO EFILE ON MY NATURAL NAIL PLEASE. $55 pedicure and it took her 15 minutes including polish. My heels were still rough, like the grater and pumice was done for show, to check it off the menu list not to actually complete the pedicure correctly. The menu item for the kids was mani/pedi, I had to force them to do the mani's for the girls, I had to say "isn't painting their nails part of what I'm paying for?" The 5yr old was done with them and said no to the manicure, yet I was still charged for both. The manicurist that did the 9yr olds polish did not listen to her on the color choice, she wanted 2 colors alternated she got 1 hand 1 color and the other hand the other color. I was not able to advocate for her as I was stuck in the pedicure chair with the threat of an E File. My 7yr old niece asked them for gel polish without my knowledge, again stuck in the pedicure chair. I paid $25 for each mani pedi for children had to argue with them to actually do the manicures and all we got was 2 out of 3 painted. Painting nails is not a manicure, it never will be. They ended up charging me an extra $20 for the 7yr old choosing gel. I almost think they trapped me in the chair on purpose. There is also a newer younger lady who is very rough with people, extremely rude and makes back handed comments. A different time, I had told her on my nails that she didn't need to be so rough, when separating the acrylic from my skin on the sides, she was shoving her natural nail in between my skin and nail but doing it extremely hard. It brought tears to my eyes. I've had my nails done for over 20yrs I know some things can be painful, she was doing this on purpose. I pulled my hand back a few times and she only did it harder the next time. I figured I just would not see her again but this visit threw me over the top. The owner is very nice but it seems like her employees are taking over with all this stuff that never used to happen. It's sad, they do great designs on my nails but I would rather take unpolished nails home to do it myself than to deal with this ever again. Again, the pedicures are 15 minutes for $55. It's out of control. Nail salons in general are charging 75% more and doing 75% less, I won't deal with that and someone trying to hurt me on purpose. read more

Took my teenage daughter here to get a mani-pedi. Decided to get a pedi myself. I was very disappointed in the service I got. I chose the spa pedi with the hot wax. The lady I had just sped through the whole process. I wanted white tips which costs extra. She started painting and I realized she hadn't even filed my nails when I said something she filed them after the paint and then just painted clear back over it looked terrible. I had to ask her to remove the paint and try again. I will say my daughter had a boy that did her pedi and he did a fantastic job and the younger girl that did her mani did amazing! ******update***** Went back and got another pedicure from the same lady and got white tips again and she did an amazing job this time. I'm not sure if it was just my tech having a rough day, but I was not super pleased with my nails. I received a full set today and on my entire left hand the nails are crooked. The pinky, ring and middle are all angled up and to the side. Shape is good and polish application was good. It's probably not noticeable to anyone else, but it's going to drive me nuts. She also cut my cuticle with the drill, and proceeded to go over it multiple times before I finally had to say something. I gave her 2 chances and then the third time I couldn't handle it anymore.
