It's been a few years since I've been to this nail spa, let alone had my nails done so when my mom came to town we decided to go in and get pampered. I called the day ahead for our appointment and they asked for us to come in first thing in the morning. They never asked for our information so I'm not sure how they keep track of their appointments because they were super busy for a Friday morning. There were a few people who were turned away while I'm we were there. My mom got a gel manicure and I got a volcano pedicure and gel manicure. The reason I gave four stars instead of five was for two reasons. The first, it took so long. We arrived at 930 and didn't leave until 1130. My manicure was quick but my pedicure took awhile. I don't know if it's because I got more than the basic and haven't had my toes done in years but that's the longest I've ever been in a nail salon. The second reason is because my mom paid ahead of time after she was done with her manicure but we ended up having to pay a difference because the glitter on my nails was not included in a normal gel manicure. It's not too big of a deal but it would have been nice to have been told that when I was asked if I wanted to do anything on my nail. Overall we are really happy with our nails and will definitely be going back. I even purchased a gift certificate at the end so my husband could go in and get his feet taken care of. read more

I was a little blown away it was $73 for a 6 year old to get her fingers and toes done, but of course accepted it. Her gel didn't last more than a few days and she's been crying to me for days that her toes hurt because they cut her nails way too short. I wouldn't advise going here. read more

Went on a Wednesday around 10am after the kids went to school. I was able to get in with maybe a half hour wait. Not bad for no appointment. The guy did a great job on my toes and gave a great massage. I have been once before but it had been years. Both times I've gone has been a great experience. I love Perfection Nails & Spa! They opened last summer & never disappoint! The salon is clean, everyone is so friendly & welcoming, they provide complimentary drinks, & they actually show their customers they appreciate our business. Hannie is my girl for my nails, she is amazing! My shape is always on point, my nails last longer than I'd like to admit sometimes, & I'm always happy when I leave. I've had pedicures by a few of the nail techs they truly all do a great job & make sure you relax. This is the only nail salon in Yelm that I go to because they are so friendly, incredible work, & again they actually really appreciate their customers. The guy who did my nails filed into my skin multiple times and was yanking my hand around. would definitely not recommend! They did my nails on opening day. They came up in a week. I had to go elsewhere to get them fixed paying full price. To get to the point of my 1 star rating as if bad nails weren't enough, when I shared my experience in a comment on Facebook this business claimed I was not sober. New owners and they are fantastic! What a change from previous owner. The place is so clean now and actually has a nice big counter where you pay. They offer complementary drinks. They are very nice and do a wonderful service. So glad they bought it and cleaned it up. My pedicure was fantastic! My niece got a mani-pedi and they did a fantastic job. Her nails lasted over 4 weeks! She was super impressed. This is the only place in town that I'll go too. I'd give it a 5 star rating but I'm taking a star away because I had made an appointment and we had to wait 45 minutes for the 2 men too come in to do our pedicures. read more

After moving to Yelm have been looking for a good nail salon. We liked Perfection Nails as they were friendly, offered us something to drink and the place was clean. We got basic pedicures, and my husband liked his and how they did his nails. I don't like mine and not sure I want to give them a second chance. They were friendly as some places in Yelm are not very welcoming even after several times (Maybe they don't think the 25% plus for a tip is enough for a basic pedicure). Anyway, they were friendly, but he didn't soak my feet at all before removing old polish and cutting/cleaning nails, then they were soaked in cool water for maybe 1 or 2 minutes. When he started putting on color I was shocked that he didn't use a base coat, then when he started putting on top coat I stopped him and asked about a 2nd coat of color. He just asked if they looked OK and in that lighting I mumbled I guess, but was shocked no base and only 1 coat of polish. Once outside you can tell and they look like a home nail polish and color looks thin. On 2 nails he cut one side kind of short, which can happen but instead of making it even across he cut at an angle. It's not a big difference, but you can tell when looking. On one hand I liked the place so thinking to try another person and make sure they use base coat, 2 color and topcoat, on the flip side....why give another chance as strange that they would not use base, 2 coats of color or for that matter soak my feet for a couple of minutes. We have our nails done year-round for the last 10 years and this is the first time I've seen where they did not soak feet for a couple of minutes before starting or use base coat and 2 coats of color. All the staff was 15 min late. Vibe was good until I started to receive bad energy from the person doing my nails. He was rude. Anytime I said something he had the opposite to say. One of my nails was put on completely sideways the visit prior to todays and the tip was like 3/4 of a way too short for that nail so it looked like their was a pinky finger tip on my ring finger. The guy doing my nails said that it was done correct and that my finger is the problem. I do nails and I've had my nails done thousands of times before it was clearly put on wrong. So I asked for my nails to be taken off and redone so I could get a milky white nail with a design on the ring finger. He didn't take my nails off he just filled them leaving the pink and white still on the nail. He cut my nails too short and was very rough and cut the side of my finger with the file to where I was bleeding. Still having negative energy I decided to just stop engaging in conversation. He then said my nails didn't turn out right to have the milky white do I should just paint them red. I said ok. He then yelled at me and said no! what color of red? Dark or light? I said I'll have to look. He turned around with attitude and walked away. He got the colors and when I picked a color he told me sorry that's a powder. I said ok can I get the colors? He got the colors and I picked one just to get out of there. He then said oh that color is 5$ more! I said I don't care. He put the color on and then asked me if I was ok. I replied yep. And he then told me to smile. After he was done I paid and bounced. I'll never go back to this place again and I definitely don't recommend it. I gave this place 2 different shots at my busienss. First time the color looked good but she put my nails on crooked. This time it was a man who was just hired and didn't seem to have credentials to do nails and was extremely rude unprofessional and rough upon other things. The owner seems really good but when doing my nails the first time I was pawned off to the other lady who put my nails on crooked. And when a customer tells you the nails on crooked the customer is NOT wrong! The CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! So when a client tells you they want something one way it's the employees job to make it the way the client wants it NOT how the employee wants it or thinks it should be done. This place isn't about quality customer service. They lost my busienss my mom's busienss and my significant others busienss. Not to mention I paid full price for my nails that were messed up both times. I typically will not leave bad reviews because it's bad for busienss but this place needs some serious feedback on customer service and I'm very upset at the fact my nails are so messed up and still had to pay a second time of messed up service. Lesson learned. read more
