We had a Taco Party on a surprisingly warm Monday in March. When it's 75 degrees everyone needs a patio in their lives so we stopped here because the last time we wanted to give them a try they were closed. To our surprise they had happy hour. After some recommendations we opted for a few tacos each, chips & guacamole and swirl margaritas. The service was fast and friendly, we received the margaritas right away. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the people watching. The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect after a long day! I will definitely return.

I really enjoyed these tacos! My coworkers and I came for Cinco de Mayo. They had a couple specials going on so it was a great time to try them. The Barbacoa and carnitas were super flavorful! I'd get them again. The steak was kind of dry so I'd switch that out next time.

I stopped in to get some tamales they had on special all of them were really good. I loved the langua it was very tasty. Had a great balance of savory and richness in flavor. The langua was very tender. You get them warmed up or chilled. I chose to get them chilled since I have a steamer at home. Service was very friendly and encouraged me to take the sauce s they make. Inside it's very nice has a lot of seating and looks modern.

I had a highly disappointing experience at this establishment, specifically with the cashier, Melvin Leonardo. When I asked for a refund because the guacamole was incredibly watery and lacked flavor, Melvin became visibly irritable and annoyed. Instead of handling a basic customer request professionally, he acted as though I was intentionally trying to give the business a hard time. Worse layout, his attitude felt noticeably targeted and dismissive toward me as an African American customer. Customer service should be consistent and respectful to everyone, regardless of who they are. Fortunately, I did receive a full refund, and I gladly took my money to a business that actually values its customers. I won't be returning.

Great casual taco spot! Wish it was a bit cheaper but the tacos are worth it. Tried the fried corn quesadilla which was surprisingly good. The sauces are also great! They made the food quickly which was good because we were hungry.

The best tacos I've had in DC! They are still quite expensive (at least compared to street tacos or from a food truck) but the taste is well worth it. Their meats are well-seasoned, they have a variety of salsas, and they are bursting with flavor, reminiscent of tacos from Mexico! They also have some great alcoholic margs and you can choose between hibiscus or cucumber. Both count for the happy hour deal from 4-7 PM and the staff are kind enough to put chamoy and tajin on the rim. The dining area is composed of a few tables and while you bus, the servers being out the food to you. Generally, very friendly staff and usually not too crowded!

One of the best taco spots in Union Market. Every taco is flavored perfectly and I love the corn tortillas! I also love their pastries cookies, in the salsa bar. The service is pretty quick when it's not too packed, but it doesn't matter because the food is worth the weight. You can find seating inside or you can find seating inside LaCosecha. I love how cute it is inside. It's a perfect place to dine in or take to go. You will not regret eating here. My favorite are the brisket and campechano.

Nestled by the old Union Market facade this Taqueria is a local legend. My wife and I were a bit early on a snowy holiday weekend and we thought they were closed. To our delight we arrived just a bit too early and as they opened that day one could see why this place was a go to spot for many as people began lining up real quick. My wife always orders their selection of breakfast tacos with guac and chips to go along with them. My favorite part of dining here is their fresh and creamy habanero sauce that is deliciously fire as the youngsters would say!

Their tacos are delicious! Everything tasted fresh and the quality was great. Would definitely go back and try other menu items.

One qualm I have with the DC food scene is a lack of excellent tacos. Apapacho Taqueria (alongs with select others) solves this issue. Very cute spot situated in La Cosecha / Union Market area. I tried the taco de asada and taco de Suadero, both delicious. Filling and flavorful. Very excited to try more soon!

I'm the type of person who is always down to eat tacos as long as they are authentic Mexican tacos, meaning they are making tacos with freshly made tortillas along with freshly made salsas. That's exactly what you'll find at Apapacho. I ordered 5 tacos and they were all fantastic. My favorites were the Suadero, Carnitas, and mushrooms. My only complaint is that I wish they either lightly fried their tortillas on the griddle or doubled them up since I found that tacos tended to fall apart a bit once they soaked in the juices from the meat and salsas. The service was friendly and quick. The tacos were reasonably priced. I also tried their Oaxacan chocolate cookie which was pretty good. I look forward to coming back soon.

We had a wide variety of their tacos and loved every one! I really wanted a good taster of the menu so we tried (from top to bottom on the first picture) the taco Al pastor, chicken milanesa taco, vegetarian mushroom taco, taco de carnitas, taco de Baja shrimp, and another chicken milanesa taco! I of course also did a tasting of their salsa bar and loved loved loved the tomatillo salsa verde! The creamy jalapeño sauce was a close second on the favorite scale Their guac was so fresh and citrusy!

Anytime there's a long line for tacos, they're probably good! I love the open kitchen concept, all the fresh salsas and decor. While the tacos were overpriced they were good. If in the area again, I'd try them out again.

The Crab Bisque was creamy, comforting, and packed with real crab flavor without being overly heavy. Each of these sorts of restaurants has a place in the spectrum. Our waiter - Keith or Kevin - I'm so sorry but I cannot remember his name - was GREAT! Funny, good at his job, great personality and helpful. He started out with a corny, but cute, joke and he kept getting better all night. The manager too was quite good, professional and friendly. What a great staff! The food is good. I could talk about the lobster bisque (a bit on the strong side) or the flounder (a bit on the salty side). But, honestly, the food was good and I enjoyed it a lot. I did not complain about any of it nor do I think a complaint was necessary. So, as I said before, it had been years since I had last eaten at Hank's. But it won't be that long anymore. I recommend Hank's for a casual seafood meal.

We were sat in the solarium area, and it was during the heat dome, and it was really warm in there. Otherwise, though, it's completely charming inside and reminds us of some of the best French bistros we've been to in the country (e.g. Balzathar, Le Supreme). The three cocktails we tried--the frose, le jardin, and the clouseau--were all stunners. And of course the bread deserves another special mention, *especially* the room temperature butter. Thank you for not serving hard as hell butter! We shared the warm shrimp salad to start, and for $31, we were expecting more than a few avocado slices and 4 shrimp on it, but c'est la vie. The dressing was incredible, and the greens were crunchy. That's actually the only dish of the night that we thought was unfairly overpriced. One of us ordered the burger and the other got the rabbit pappardelle--you've got to get rabbit when you see it on a menu, which isn't often enough! There was a good amount of super tender meat and the pasta was perfectly al dente, all in a lightly stunning sauce. Chef's kiss. The burger was, no surprise, another triumph. There was juicy meat, bun integrity, and all the right accouterment notes. The fries are standard. Our daughter got their mac-n-cheese, which is probably just the gratin dish renamed. It was OK. We kind of got out of control for dessert and ordered the pot de creme, the cookie dough ice cream, and the profiteroles. Honestly, these were all good, but nothing that stood out as exemplary as with the savory stuff. Our only major complaint was the service. It was really spotty and while there was a very, very long gap in between when we got our water and then put in our drinks, but our mains came out almost directly after the salad. And the guy was just not very hospitable. Not necessarily a "bad" experience...it just could have been a lot better. Four stars, and we have already declared that we will be back again to "The Dip" because there is so much else on the menu that we want to try.

Asparagus, calamari, shrimp cocktail, coal roasted oysters, chicken chermoula, and lump crab gratin. Worth every penny. One tip worth sharing, ask for a bit of sea salt for the chicken. The first taste lacked it and that small addition made all the difference. We were five deep which honestly matched the energy of most tables around us. It's a lovely thing to wander through before heading in to eat just a few feet away. The setting itself doesn't feel like Washington at all. With the charming little patio and relaxed vibe, you could imagine you're in another country, and it strikes a wonderful balance between easygoing and sophisticated. Little touches go a long way for me, and they nailed them here: silverware with the lovely illusion of polished silver and elevated stemware that added an extra bit of vibe to the whole experience. The staff were wonderfully accommodating from the start: everything was still soaked from the heavy rain the night before, but they went out of their way to set us up in a lovely shaded spot so we'd stay cool and comfortable. That same care showed up in a much bigger way later, when one of our party passed out from a health issue unrelated to the meal, and the team handled it with calm, attentiveness, and real heart. Now, the food. The brunch menu hits all the classics, chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict with fun variations featuring crab and smoked fish, all the good stuff. I settled on the lobster roll, which was incredibly good, served with Old Bay fries that came out perfectly hot and crisp, exactly the way fries should always arrive, with ketchup on the side. We also tried the tuna tartare and the buffalo oysters, which were a blast: fried oysters with a blue cheese dressing and hot sauce, served in the cutest presentation in shells on smooth lake pebbles. On the drinks side, I had a "Bloody Margaret," a gin-based riff on a Bloody Mary, and it was wonderfully spicy, just the way I like it. The cocktail list overall is playful and worth exploring. Oysters are clearly one of their fortes. They focus on Virginia oysters, so it's a single variety, but they do a lot with it across a range of preparations. There's also a fun Virginia peanut-centric theme running through the menu.
