    Lobster with Shrimp Linguine
    TaNeisha J.

Seafood and pasta -- this combo is perfect! I celebrated my birthday here with fam and friends, and the staff here were so accommodating and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is relatively small so make sure you have a reservation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor is modern and nautical-themed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For my appetizer, I had the lobster bisque. It surely was not the greatest bisque I've had. While there were lobster chunks in the soup, the overall taste of the bisque was a miss for me. For my entree, I had the Whole Main Lobster with Linguine Shrimp. I opted for the Pomodoro with Pink Sauce. This dish had just the right seasoning. The seafood was tender -- not tough. Just an all around great dish! If I didn't live so far, I'd visit more often! Try it for yourself -- cheers!

Wowie! We had an excellent time here, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. We ordered the lobster linguine with the cream sauce and the bouillabaisse! Both were perfect, they didn't skimp on seafood and portions were a good size! This was a great find and should easily have 5 stars. We can't wait to go back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun dining room and strong menu in a competitive neighbourhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Date night dinner with my wife trying a new place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The good: the dining areas are split into smaller rooms and have a nice intimate feel with fun décor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has a mix of fun items dramatically plated (I had the squid ink risotto). The service was also friendly and frequent it can be hard to get good service in DC so it is always refreshing when there is a friendly and helpful staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bad: the first dining room is immediately adjacent to the entryway and a bit tight so if seated there it can be a more hectic experience when larger parties checkin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The mediocre: pricing is fair and on par for the area, but the area is a bit pricy. That said portions are quite good so the bill is not going to surprise anyone used to eating in the city. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice date spot or dining room for small parties. On par for the neighbourhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is a hidden gem! I wish I could keep it to myself. But the food and the service were too good not to share! 10/10. Met the owner she is a doll. The servers were amazing and attentive. The food was hot and fresh. I came for the oysters and lobster roll. Both were a 10/10. The food was so good, I forgot to take a picture until I was almost at the last bite. Order a sprite which was super crisp for some reason. Definitely didn't taste like grocery store sprite. Highly recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small intimate dinner restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and personable which was a welcome sentiment in a smaller restaurant. The lobster pasta was so good and a generous portion and will have me come back again and again! I REALLY hope this place stays around for a while as the service was awesome and friendly but most importantly the food was good!

What a great restaurant! It took a minute to get a reservation, but it was worth the wait! The host was phenomenal and made us feel right at home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is fun and inviting, preparing everyone for a great evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server was very attentive to our drink needs and our preferences on meal choices. The crab cakes were so good, fresh and served piping hot. So good! The appetizers and entrees were quick and served at just the right times. The food was delicious and really helped top off the evening. Highly recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pesce is quaint but she definitely packs a punch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She's an establishment that has clearly built a loyal fan base over the years as she looked to have a few regulars dine in to this seemingly less than 20 seat restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tired of fast pass dining with servers that make you feel like they just want you to leave as soon as possible, then come to Pesce. Everything feels authentic from the food to the service, so much so that you'll definitely be back for more. On top of that the food is solid too; sardines check, lobster risotto check! FYI: they're open 7 days a week and they have a happy hour everyday from 4pm-6pm.

I enjoyed the three course meal from start to finish. The lobster bisque was exceptional, made with brandy and easily the best I have had to date. The second course, a swordfish mango ceviche, was fresh and well balanced, followed by a lobster risotto for the final course. Each course was paired with a different wine tasting, which elevated the experience. Since it's my birthday I was gifted their key lime pie and it was delectable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was attentive and the atmosphere quaint and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] James took great care of me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only drawback was the cold draft from the door, which made the dining room a bit uncomfortable at times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even so, I would gladly return.

Better than I expected! When I saw the reviews in Yelp I was thinking this would be a nice place to just go have dinner alone and enjoy my own company. It's been that kind of a year! Well, I'll be returning with my mother next month for my birthday! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is bigger than it looks while still being intimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Attentive and friendly customer service. And the food. The food! So yummy!! The lobster pasta is FULL of seafood!!! Do the 3 course dinner with wine pairing. You won't regret it.

Absolutely amazing experience at Pesce! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is fabulous whether it's a first night out or a date night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small but that's what makes it perfect![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is impeccable! The amazing owner was involved every step of the way and made it a truly memorable experience! Now the big question - the food! Freaking amazing! The mango ceviche was EVERYTHING! A little sweet, a little spice and super fresh seafood! We ordered the lobster risotto and lobster pasta and the portions were huge and flavor was even bigger! It's legit our new go to restaurant! We can't wait to go back!!

My wife and I visited Pesce Seafood House for her birthday based on the Yelp reviews. We are so glad we did! Here is what we liked: - We made it there 15 minutes before happy hour ended, so we were able to get some special drink and appetizer pricing. - The restaurant is beautiful, with artwork throughout... It really gave you the feel of the sea. - The menu is so broad with so many raw bar, grilled, fried, and other options that we had a hard time choosing - The food was exceptional. We started with a ceviche appetizer and also sardines...both were very good. For our meals, my wife got the scallops with spinach, and I got the lobster roll and swapped in spinach for the french fries. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the lobster roll, which could be prepared in one of two styles, was so nice and buttery. The spinach also was excellent. - They presented my wife with a key lime dessert with a candle on top for her birthday. It was very tasty. - Service was great....attentive but not overbearing. Note: They automatically add a 20% gratuity on your bill. Bottom line: Pesce Seafood House is a gem...we would go back in a minute.

I chanced upon this place by accident as I didn't want to travel far in the cold. This may have been the best overall experience I've had in a restaurant in DC, definitely top 3. Top notch service and amazing food. The branzino was absolutely wonderful. The owner was tending the bar. No hint of corporate snobbery, just a really friendly family run place.

The ambiance bright and cheerful -- an upscale seafood place complete with an upscale, creative nautical theme. The food was great and came out fairly quickly, though we didn't feel rushed. With all the hype, we had to try the Maryland crab "crumpet," a tiny (maybe the size of a silver dollar ‍), toasty, round cranny-toast that had a decent amount of crab on top, though at $9 *each*, we couldn't decide if it was worth it. The crab was spiced nicely, though. One of our fave dishes was recommended by the server -- the tilefish kinilaw, a ceviche-adjacent blend of chopped light white fish, red onion, cucumber, mango (I think), & chives blended in coconut broth. YUM! It was served in a dish with lettuce cups, an interesting vessel for the fish-yumminess. We also shared a beet & berry salad with crunchy, candied pecans with a yogurt dressing. Yum! The entree (we shared) was surprisingly really good - another rec from our server -- the Massaman fish curry with fresh herbs & house-made, grilled roti, an interesting naan-like bread that proved great vessel for scooping up the decadent curry gravy. YUM! We also shared a Caesar salad with garlic croutons. It was good; nothing terribly special, but good. Really great meal. Great service. Great ambiance. We'll definitely be back. There's a really nice patio dining area facing the marina. We'd like to try that when the weather isn't so ghastly hot.

The shrimp hush puppies were just hush puppies; it was not worth the price. The Hawaiian poke looked beautiful, but was just okay. We ordered the lamb chops and curry. It took an HOUR for us to get our food. When it came my lamb chops definitely did not look like they were worth $60; they were extremely small and did not have a lot of meat on them. My best friend said her curry was fine, but it was nothing special. Our waiter was nice, but we often found ourselves trying to look for him and waiting for him to return to our table. The manager originally told us we could have our drinks free (a Shirley temple and a virgin mojito). We had to advocate for ourselves and ask for at least an appetizer off because we had waited an hour for our food. Overall, this place is nice for aesthetics but not for food quality and quantity. My best friend also asked for her food to be boxed and never received the boxed food. We waited so long to get our servers attention throughout the night, so we decided to just leave without the boxed food.

I started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which arrived piping hot and topped with a generous layer of melted Parmesan. The dip was creamy, cheesy, and packed with spinach and artichokes without being overly heavy. It had a rich, savory flavor that paired perfectly with the warm, crispy house-made tortilla chips. The chips were sturdy enough to scoop up the thick dip without breaking, making it an appetizer that was easy to keep reaching for. The raw oysters were the star of the meal. They were served beautifully over ice with fresh lemon and a variety of sauces. The oysters tasted incredibly fresh clean, briny, and buttery with no fishy aftertaste. Each one had its own subtle flavor, and the accompaniments enhanced them without overpowering their natural taste. At happy hour pricing, they were an outstanding value and definitely something I'd order again. To drink, I had a margarita, which was refreshing and well-balanced. It wasn't overly sweet, allowing the citrus and tequila flavors to shine through. The salted rim added the perfect finishing touch, making it an ideal pairing with both the oysters and the creamy dip. The atmosphere was lively without feeling overcrowded, making it a great place for catching up with friends or enjoying an after-work happy hour. Service was attentive, and the food arrived quickly despite the restaurant being busy.

First time at King St Oyster Bar and I went for their happy hour on a Thursday. For drinks, I ordered the Froze which was delicious, sweet, and light but slightly watered down. For happy hour food, I had the shrimp bites, crab cake sliders, and fries. I highly recommend the shrimp bites! I would definitely go back for those. They had the perfect flavor and texture. The crab cake bites were super tiny so the buns slightly overpowered the taste of the crab cake. The fries tasted fresh and were a great addition to my food. Since it was packed, the service started out slow but my server was sweet and friendly once I was greeted and she checked in on my table several times. There was music playing throughout my time there which at times made it difficult to hear my friend speak. When my table wanted to pay near the end of my service, the server was more difficult to find but eventually came.
