I saw tons of good reviews and I was excited to try this spot. We came in midday Sunday and they had a 15 minute wait to order so we had to sit outside while we waited. All staff was really friendly and everyone came to check on us multiple times, fill up water, etc. After we got inside to order, it was a bit chaotic, workers walking by and we were constantly being bumped. We got to the front of the line and the guy started taking our order for a second then turned around and was dealing with something else, which was a bit off putting. We ordered 3 lobster rolls, calamari, and the lobster bisque, two beers, etc and it was around $130. Foodwise: lobster bisque was the best part of the meal for sure. It had a buttery flavor with a good amount of lobster but great overall. The calamari was really lack luster- for $17 it was way smaller than a typical size you'd get at a restaurant. I think the addition of the shredded carrots was unnecessary - cold carrots with hot calamari didn't really work and it was not a huge portion at all. It said tentacles too but it just seemed like rings. The lobster rolls did have a decent amount of lobster and I think the hot ones were definitely the better of the two. The mayo one barely had any celery and some of the pieces were so large it was making it messy to eat as you almost had to cut some of the pieces as they were too big to chew. I liked the side coleslaw but wish the side hush puppies came with some honey butter. Overall I think the lobster rolls were a good bang for you buck but still not on par with Maine lobster rolls I've had. Overall will be back to try some other items, like crab cakes, etc. Do note that their drinks they serve like cocktails, are all canned cocktails they have and not like a real cocktail. They were freshly made, crispy, and mixed with some honey for an added sweetness. Lobster grilled cheese sandwich: O-M-G! I'm still recovering from the amazing flavor profile in this sandwich. For starters, the Maine lobster serving was quite generous and it was fresh and buttery. The sourdough bread was beyond delicious, perfectly crisp around the edges, soft on the inside, with savory cheese oozing through the holes. The sandwich also contained sautéed spinach and tomato, making this sandwich my favorite of all time-no exaggeration! My boyfriend absolutely loved his lobster roll and from the pictures, you can once again see how generous they were with serving up those fresh lobster pieces. After soaking in the views of the waterfront by Georgetown waterfront park, this spot was a short walk uphill and the place I had bookmarked for lunch. I ordered the crabcake and lobster bisque for dine in. The cashier even asked me if I wanted them to serve the dishes together which was really attentive of them. I found some seating on the second floor and the staff even brought the food up to me! I know I came for the seafood but was absolutely blown away by the five star service! The staff were super king and kept asking if we needed anything the entire time we were dining in. They also proactively brought cups of water and utensils as well as an extra basket for my brother so that we could share the order. Once others are finished eating, the staff were super quick to clear and clean the tables. This is the service that all five stars or those $$$ restaurants should aspire for honestly. The crab cake was pretty decent and good for the given price. Not the best I've ever had though. The lobster bisque was also pretty good and stirring the soup seemed to enhance the seafood flavor. Would get each dish again. You are literally greeted at the door and given the next steps. You order and pay first, then they seat you. We were seated upstairs, a little tight but we made it work. They immediately brought infused water to the table. YES...INFUSED. A simple touch, but it set the tone. About ten minutes, our food arrived. We shared the seafood platter with fish, shrimp, fries, cold slaw and hush puppies. It was hot, fresh, and crispy, just like we like it. But for me, the warm lobster roll was the moment. Buttery, overflowing with lobster, and the bread was perfectly toasted. It was rich without being overwhelming and full of flavor in every bite. My dad ordered the lobster bisque, which looked creamy and good but because my stomach does not always appreciate heavy cream, i stayed in my lane. He enjoyed it though, lol. This spot is definitely a hidden gem in Georgetown! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. When placing my order, I was torn between two dishes, but the lovely lady at the counter shared what the restaurant is best known for and offered excellent suggestions. Despite it being Christmas Eve, she was friendly, efficient, and incredibly kind, which made a great impression. While the portion size and overall meal were fair, the food did not quite meet my expectations. I requested both the fish and fries to be extra crispy; however, neither had any crispiness. Some of the fries were still cold, and the breading separated from the fish. The coleslaw was acceptable, though quite watery. I had high hopes for the food, given the restaurant's reputation. Stylized like a seafood market of yore, the ordering process is simple. You receive a number to take to your table, which is almost a comfortable nostalgia in the age of QR codes. I elected to sit outside for the ambience (or lack thereof) of Potomac Avenue and was not disappointed. Parallel parking escapades and a perfectly timed Saturday afternoon food delivery made for horn hijinks of the highest order. Dinner and a show! The calamari came first. The portion size was decent and the breading seasoned well. Peppered and salted nicely, the squid was tender. The fried onions were a welcome edition that paired perfectly with the two sauces. Life is your oyster as you decide your fate: a bright, crisp cocktail sauce with a welcome bite or a spicy mayo or aïoli as we are supposed to say now. Up next, clam chowder and lobster roll. For me at least the ratio of clam to clam chowder is crucial and they nailed it. There was a clam or piece of clam in every bite and I wasn't even trying to maneuver my spoon. The lobster roll was so excellent. I forgot to take a picture. A soft, toasted potato roll piled high with lobster meat accented with a herbed lemon butter. Lobster rolls should feel generous, and this certainly did the trick approaching the golden ratio of one-to-one bread/meat. If I was older, or had more money to spend, I would be back more often. Came here around 5:30ish and wasn't busy besides take-out orders, and got greeted immediately. Came as a party of four and ordered the crab cake sandwich with his puppies and potato salad, lobster roll with hush puppies (no bread, Gluten-Free allergy), fish and chips with hush puppies and potato salad, and salmon sandwich with hush puppies. The salmon was great, wish it had just a bit more seasoning on the actual fish, but that's probably because I like to have quite a bit of seasoning on my own food. However, their special sauce was fantastic, I wish I could bathe in it! The hush puppies were fantastic as well, had a great crisp and crunch on the outside and the inside had great flavor. I could've filled up on those by themself as a meal. The fish and chips were yummy, the perfect crunch with the breading and the inside was super moist and super tender. The potato salad was sweet but delicious. The crab cake sandwich was good as well. Hardly any complaints on the food, except that it wasn't enough hush puppies! It did come with about 6-7 on your plate, but again, with them and that special sauce it could've been a whole meal. The inside of the restaurant is small. They have indoor seating on the first and second floor (stairs only) and outdoor seating.
