To be honest Charles is the reason I'm giving it a 5! He was wonderful at the bar handling both making all of the drinks and making sure my friend and I were given great service as we enjoyed the happy hour deals. The $1 oysters were way better than I was expecting. Huge portions for the fried items on the happy hour special. Also the bread the give with their charbroiled oysters is truly Vietnamese quality. Phenomenal food the only reason I took away a star is for the following: - We had a reservation for 5:45pm and arrived a few minutes before our reservation time. It took us 10 mins to get seated and we were stressed about missing Happy Hour which ends at 6pm. Thankfully we just ordered the moment we sat down but I don't expect that much of a wait when we have a reservation - We came in for my husband's birthday and the server even asked what we were celebrating. After driving from Alexandria Virginia we were confused on the parking but luckily we found parking right at the entrance after circling around a few times. What a delicious dinner we had yesterday! The "POCKET PAIR" meal we got was supposed to serves for 2 people, but we could use another person to help us eat the rest of the food we left in the pot. Snow Crab (2 clusters), Shrimp (1 lb), Andouille Sausage (¼ lb), Garlic Noodles, Corn on the cob, and Potatoes were in this pot. I liked the garlic noodles a lot. We substituted the garlic noodles for rice and got everything in their signature "Oh Dang!" sauce. The sauce was definitely the highlight for us. It was rich, flavorful, and perfect with the seafood. Everything tasted really good and our favorite items were probably the mussels and the corn since they soaked up so much flavor from the sauce. The only downside was that our andouille sausage was missing from the order. I didn't realize it until midway through the meal because I assumed it was sitting at the bottom of the pot. Expensive but very cool so you can choose to get all you can eat and of course they come with different stipulations of course. I thought the sauces were quite a bit too fatty for my liking, which makes it easy to feel queasy when eating shrimp. Weirdly enough the shrimp got quite bitter, so it was a bit hard to consume. The honey sriracha was quite sweet and mild spicy isn't very spicy at all! Would get medium or hotter next time. The tacos were also pretty good especially with the Cole slaw within the taco. I would skip on the crispy shrimp as it was too fatty against a very lean protein. The beignets came hot with a strawberry sauce. Should have ordered a scoop of ice cream with it! Good way to end the meal. One thing to note is that they apply a 20% fee on all orders, and this is clearly marked at the front, which I appreciate. My partner and I have been here two times. Each time, we got the AYCE Royalty Level. That's the top level that includes whole lobster, lobster tail, king crab legs and other things. I have to say - the food and service are fantastic. (Tonight, our server Kenny, made us feel very welcome and took great care of us, including keeping the water glasses full and clearing away plates.) There are a variety of sauces available for the seafood pots. Tonight, we got the lemon garlic, both mild and medium. Both were delicious. We asked if we could get the sauce on the side and we got a large bowl that was great for dipping the lobster and other seafood. Really good sauce. As I said, all the food we had was delicious, including the gator bites and fried catfish appetizers, and the outstanding Brussels sprouts. The seafood was flavorful and the meats we tried (lamb chops and waygu) were well prepared and delicious. We wanted just to try the lamb chops and move on, but they were so good and well seasoned that we got a second order. I'm surprised by other Yelp comments about the lamb chops being bland. We both thought these were some of the best we've ever had. My partner commented "these don't need mint jelly" which is quite a compliment coming from them! Places with time limits (this one is 90 minutes for AYCE) can be problematic if the service and kitchen are not efficient. But that is absolutely not an issue here. The server routinely came by to fill water glasses and to ask what we next wanted to order, and the food came out of the kitchen promptly. The place has a nice vibe. We had a large party of 10 and things got tricky with seating to menu desires. I think the requirement that everyone must get the same AYCE choice should offer unspoken leniency if only 1 out of 10 wants a different tier. Like cmon there's still no even bill split when people of a party order variations of drinks per person, so there's no issue for the business side. It complicated our ordering & seating ease; and, furthermore having to ask the manager for seating allowance based on complications was truly a service turnoff. My drink order took nearly 20 minutes we had the ugliest social media boomerang because by the time my mocktail came everyone's second beverage was already low. I also didn't like that my lychee mocktail wasn't topped with a lychee as what is the case when I order lychee drinks elsewhere. It was delicious however so great shake up! The beignets were off par not worth it and I was looking forward to them. The shrimp boil was delicious Maryland style. I've been here multiple times for their AYCE -- the best AYCE seafood I've ever had! The price is worth it for the quality of food alone. Highly recommended the Oh Dang! sauce for the seafood pot. Was so happy we got the chance to come here for Valentine's Day dinner. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which was a pleasant surprise considering how busy they were on Valentine's Day. For drinks, my partner had the Lychee Sunset Fizz and I had the Cranberry Sparkler. The fruit flavors came through perfectly, and I appreciated the fresh fruit as garnishes. My partner had the cajun-style seafood pot with crawfish and a snowcrab cluster, and I had the ribeye with broccolini and potatoes. The seafood was extremely flavorful, and the cajun was so creamy. The steak was also delicious with a satisfying sear, and the vegetable portions tasted fresh with generous portions. This was definitely a fun splurge date night for us! read more

Bitterly cold but it we were seeking a new venue to celebrate my day....What a find, nearby parking made things convenient. Great food and the service were absolutely excellent. Broad selection of food items and drinks menu and accommodate non shellfish, non Pork, and / or veggie dietary requirements. We chose to sit and eat at the bar. Although we had a reservation, there was a wait if we wanted a table seating. The atmosphere was lively with conversation ongoing as we had a conversation with complete strangers at the bar.
