    Happy hour oysters
    Shelby P.

To be honest Charles is the reason I'm giving it a 5! He was wonderful at the bar handling both making all of the drinks and making sure my friend and I were given great service as we enjoyed the happy hour deals. The $1 oysters were way better than I was expecting. Huge portions for the fried items on the happy hour special. Also the bread the give with their charbroiled oysters is truly Vietnamese quality. Absolutely delicious with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Their lychee mocktail is a must try if you're there.

Phenomenal food the only reason I took away a star is for the following: - We had a reservation for 5:45pm and arrived a few minutes before our reservation time. It took us 10 mins to get seated and we were stressed about missing Happy Hour which ends at 6pm. Thankfully we just ordered the moment we sat down but I don't expect that much of a wait when we have a reservation - We came in for my husband's birthday and the server even asked what we were celebrating. I said it's his birthday, plus I put birthday under the reservation and they never came out with any dessert and candle to make the birthday celebrant feel special. We were not even asked if we wanted to order dessert. I think the server forgot but given the longer turn around to get our check we awkwardly waited there thinking something was coming that never did. Bummer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, love the vibes in here music is great people are nice always a good time! Must come here[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Well, it wasn't as good as I expected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice. It was a bit crowded in regards to space and the amount of table. It was a little uncomfortable because it was very tight where we were sitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, it seemed as though everyone was a having a great time. The service was impeccable. As soon as we walked in we were greeting by the friendly hostess who showed us to our table. Then shortly after our waiter came. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He kindly explained the menu as it was our first time at that restaurant and he gave us some time to decide on our entree. He had great recommendations for food and drinks. The food was good. I unfortunately was not blown away by what I chose. I originally wanted the classic all you can eat seafood however, everyone at the table has to order that so that was a no go. So I ordered the grilled salmon with white rice and broccoli. I felt as though the portions were extremely small. However, the salmon was flavorful. My friend ordered one of the seafood bowls she also was disappointed by the serving size. Overall, it was a good experience. If you are in the area check it out and see what you think. Cheers!

So much food from the Pocket Pair!
    Kimberly N.

What a delicious dinner we had yesterday! The "POCKET PAIR" meal we got was supposed to serves for 2 people, but we could use another person to help us eat the rest of the food we left in the pot. Snow Crab (2 clusters), Shrimp (1 lb), Andouille Sausage (¼ lb), Garlic Noodles, Corn on the cob, and Potatoes were in this pot. I liked the garlic noodles a lot. It's actually their in-house specialty, and went very well with the seafood items. The spices they used for it bought out the savory taste to the dish. What I enjoyed the most was the combined Cajun-garlic sauce that was used to cook the seafood. Because of the blended sauce, the entire boil was brought to new height of flavors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of sitting outside and listening to the traffic wasn't too bad and not too loud either. We were able to have nice conversations and enjoyed the fine weather here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are looking for a place to eat seafood boils, don't walk! Instead, run to Chasin' Tails and let their food take you away from Northern VA and down to Southern of LA.

Oh My... the noodles alone made this meal the talk of the night !!! ( compliments to the chef !!! )

""The Chase Is On !!" I honestly had no clue of what to expect... was this just another seafood boil spot or something different ? Well... Chasin'Tails is on another level altogether !!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is bubbly, and alive with activity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is friendly, attentive and always ready to assist. I started my meal with a dozen local raw oysters... and what a way to kick things off !! They were fresh, meaty with just the right hint of saltiness. And for my entree I tried the Lobster garlic noodles... and this delight sent my taste buds into the stratosphere. The noodles were perfectly seasoned, while the lobster tail was juicy as if they handpicked it out of the ocean that very moment !!! Now the finale captured my heart from the very first folk full.... The fried cheesecake took my breath away and still has me savoring the taste to this very second. I encourage any and everyone who enjoys cheesecake to try this delicious treat out whenever you have the opportunity to stop by Chasin'Tails... I promise you won't be disappointed !!!!

I prepaid for the Classic All-You-Can-Eat dining experience, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. Making reservations through OpenTable was quick and easy. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out surprisingly fast. Portions were generous, so I would recommend ordering just one or two entrée options along with a couple of sides for the first round. Everything is shareable, and it's easy to over-order. Another nice perk is that fountain drinks, lemonade, and tea are included with the all-you-can-eat experience. Parking is also validated by the restaurant--just be sure to have your license plate number handy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was great and felt like an elevated take on the traditional all-you-can-eat seafood boil experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even the details, like providing black dining gloves, added to the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend this place. I'll be back to try the Premium menu next time!

    Three-Of-A-Kind Royal Feast
    Jasmine B.

Visited Chasin' Tails for a birthday celebration. We ordered the Three-Of-A-Kind Royal Feast. It came with snow crab, shrimp, green lipped mussels, corn, and potatoes. We substituted the garlic noodles for rice and got everything in their signature "Oh Dang!" sauce. The sauce was definitely the highlight for us. It was rich, flavorful, and perfect with the seafood. Everything tasted really good and our favorite items were probably the mussels and the corn since they soaked up so much flavor from the sauce. The only downside was that our andouille sausage was missing from the order. I didn't realize it until midway through the meal because I assumed it was sitting at the bottom of the pot. I didn't end up mentioning it because I didn't feel the need to complain. Also, it was plenty of food for two people. The food itself was yummy but it is definitely on the expensive side. I'm not sure it's somewhere I would visit casually but would consider coming back for another special occasion.

Always a good time here at chasin tails. We love seafood boil and their sides/apps are also very delicious! Oysters were not watered down at all or fishy. Lamb, salmon, sweet crispy shrimp was so good but I had to stop myself from getting too full off of them so I could also enjoy the seafood boil. Service was friendly and there was no judgement with how much we ordered LOL.

Came for happy hour Oysters and they were the of the show! The charbroiled Oysters were amazing!! The berry mocktail was also a surprising favorite. The bartender was really funny and kept us enjoying the experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was elevated and funky so definitely will be back for the happy hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was my first time so I could see if the food was worth the high priced menu. The Hamachi crudo sauce was not the best, needed some acid and less gel consistency. Other than that was a great experience.

    Sabrina G.

This was our first time here, and we had a great experience. Our server, Wasi (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly), was an absolute pleasure--attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcomed. We started with the oysters--OMG, amazing! We also ordered a side of eggs with the sauce on the side, and that was a 10/10. Then we got the "Whole Dang Thang," which came with fried shrimp, gator, fish, calamari, and fries--solid 9/10. The garlic noodles were a 7.5/10, and the Brussels sprouts were an 8.5/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was great--we loved the views and the music they were playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was also very attentive about clearing the table, which we appreciated. To top it off, they surprised my wife with a birthday treat and a beautiful card, which was such a thoughtful touch. We'll definitely be back!

I had a great experience here for my mom's birthday. She got complimentary beignets and they were delicious! It is a bit pricey here but I definitely think the portion sizes make it worth it. It's a great place to celebrate somewhere and be able to try lots of things to share. We also got (not pictured) the "whole dang thang", crawfish boil, crab cakes, and the scallop citrus salad. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the salad was pretty good too. The crawfish boil definitely satisfied my craving of Cajun food. I also appreciated they have a good variety of mocktails. We did have to wait a bit after being seated to place our order but our server was busy with another large table. Besides that, he was very attentive. Note: 20% gratuity is included but I didn't have an issue with it. Also they validate parking.

    Wagyu steak and fries
    RaSheed L.

Located in what is called "Founders Row" --Falls Church, VA, --very nice. The restaurant benefits from an appealing setting. The interior is modern and chic, catering well to those who enjoy a contemporary dining atmosphere, complemented by a lively music selection. Service was a highlight of the evening. Our server, Jordy, was attentive and professional, and his efforts were appreciated accordingly. That said, the menu and pricing structure may not be particularly family-friendly. While the restaurant offers a range of options, there are limited choices for younger diners or children with smaller appetites, yet the pricing remains comparable to adult portions. For families who dine out frequently and are accustomed to a variety of dining experiences, this may present a limitation. In terms of the food, there were both strengths and areas for improvement. The calamari was well-prepared and enjoyable. The ramen noodles with garlic sauce, ordered for the children, were also well received. The crabs were flavorful, and the prawns were notably sizable and satisfactory. However, some inconsistencies impacted the overall experience. Several dishes were served below an optimal temperature. My entrée, which included Cajun and garlic butter sauces, arrived cold and lacked depth of flavor, requiring additional seasoning. The Wagyu steak, while acceptable, did not meet expectations and was also served cold. From a value perspective, this is where the experience becomes more difficult to justify. In my opinion, the restaurant is noticeably overpriced when compared to other establishments we have visited that deliver stronger execution, better consistency, and greater overall value. Given the quality of the food served during our visit, the pricing felt disproportionate to the experience. Additionally, guests should be aware of extra charges. There is approximately a 10% surcharge applied on weekends, along with a 20% service fee that is distributed among staff. These added costs further elevate the overall price point, making the value proposition even more challenging to support. Visiting Monday through Thursday may offer a slightly more favorable cost experience. Overall, while the restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and solid service, the execution of the food and the limited family-oriented options may not justify the price point for all diners. It may be better suited for couples or adult outings rather than family dining. While the experience was satisfactory, there are comparable establishments--such as those in Tampa, Florida--that deliver a more consistent and vibrant culinary experience at a similar or better value. With some refinements in food preparation, menu flexibility, and alignment between pricing and quality, this restaurant has the potential to significantly improve the overall dining experience.

This is probably my favorite place of all time to go to on special occasions. Been to the original one in centerville which sadly closed down and this establishment. Both are extremely excellent. Every-time I've come here the food slaps. Never had a bad experience with anybody, the servers were always on watch to give us extra napkins, gloves, and refills. Straight to the point this place has the newer look aesthetic to it in comparison to the older centerville one. But even then, this place is magical. Love going here, love everything about.

    Do you use deveined shrimp?

We have EZ Peel shrimp that's deveined!

    Do they have gluten-free/gluten-sensitive options?

As long as it's a personal decision to be gluten free; they can help you with it. However, if you're celiac, I'd say not the best option since they aren't a gluten free environment.

Is there a freebie on birthdays?

I believe they used to do beignets - don't know as of recent. About 5-6 pieces.

Is there a parking lot for this location? I attempted to go the the Arlington va location, and was unable to find any parking on the street on in a garage.

    Yes plenty of free parking.

Do they have menu option for kids?

There isn't an actual kids menu but they have "kid friendly" options which have the option to be served in half portions at half priced. This includes shrimp, chicken fingers and I believe crawfish.

    Do they have seafood gumbo?

    Yes we do!

Something is very off with the (lack of) protein quality at the Falls Church location. The head-on shrimp were smallish - some were 21-25 count, some were 26-30 count, and all had an off-putting *green* poop line. The clams were inedible and tiny. Half of the clams were missing from their shells. They shouldn't be sold. When I showed the poor quality of the clams to the server, they offered a 20% discount - clearly they don't get it. What keeps me loyal to the brand is their signature Hot N Juicy Special sauce (mod: extra garlic). No other Viet Cajun (even in Houston or wherever) comes close to the depth and complexity of the Hot N Juicy Special sauce. For now, the winning move is to order a some sausage in a cup with Hot N Juicy Special medium sauce w/extra garlic TO GO, and sautée it with a bag of defrosted Costco head-on 16-20 count shrimp, or a few dozen live Cherrystone clams from HMart. There is so much potential here. The sauce is boss. Solve your protein problem!

Do not come expecting a solid seafood dinner. We came here after a nearby event. There was live music in the very sizable back lot area. People were actually up and dancing and having a great time. The vibes were stellar. I don't know if I would be into tbis place in the winter if I had to eat inside because the inside is kind of dingey, but outside in the summer is pretty paradisiacal. I did notice that they were doing karaoke in a weird little side room and it did not seem crowded on a Saturday night so that might be worth checking out. Servers were also all super nice. Pretty sure we entered the wrong way and kind of just let ourselves in through the back lot area and then we had no idea where to go to find a host(ess). So we asked the first server we could find where to go and she went "oh I can seat you" and grabbed two menus. Excellent. She also gave us our choice of wherever. The place is huge. Our assigned server was also nice and really knew the menu, which is not small. The menu had a ton of options including some really interesting tofu options and I had a hard time picking so I got excited. Also very customizable where you can choose your preparation. The beer list was not exactly artisinal...a lot of like...michelob ultra. And they had those island slushy kind of drinks. So at first I was like...this is my new weekend hangout. Then our drinks came. They were small and in little plastic cups. Wuhoh. Then our food came. I should have known it wouldn't be fresh. The price wasa little *too* good. When I asked about the catch of the day it was like four different things. I ended up with a buffalo grouper sandwich (grouper was one of the four things). I have had a fresh buffalo grouper sandwich in Clearwater before and that was in 2019 and I still remember it 7 years later. This buffalo grouper sandwich? Oh no. First of all it was this thin, flat battered fried cutlet thing. The breading absorbed the buffalo sauce so I couldn't taste it very much though they did bring me a lot of Bleu cheese dressing. The fish was bad. I bit into it and it tasted fishy and it was dry. Honestly if I hadn't been super hungry I would have just not eaten it. On top of that, I paid an extra dollar to upgrade from fries to hushpuppies. These were legit hushpuppies, but hushpuppies are small and how many did they bring me? 5. Are you kidding? Again, in Florida these are brought free by the basket. They're literally just fried up balls of corn meal. I think that may have offended me more than the bad fish. My husband went witb BBQ pulled chicken and fries and said both were good. So. Here are my thoughts. Would I come here again in the summer for fun vibes and good service? Yes. Would I set low expectations for my food and drink? Yes. Would I probably just order a softdrink and stick to something simple they can't screw up like a quesadilla and fries? Yeeeeeeeah.

Service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for lunch or dinner with friends or family. Overall, Coastal Flats delivers consistently great food and a pleasant dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back! :::

Service, however, was fantastic, with waiters going above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my meal and topping off my water. Seldom have I seen waiters be so attentive and courteous. This establishment is quite large, and the lighting is dim, yet perfectly bright enough! This place is versatile (and large), so you could have a large get-together here, as well as a nice quiet date! Great all-occasion establishment.

I ordered the shrimp cocktail along with the New Frontier bison New York strip, served with short rib and potato hash, red wine jus, and habanero mustard... and every single bite was perfection. The flavors were rich, balanced, and memorable. To top it all off, the manager personally came over to introduce himself, which added such a thoughtful and welcoming touch to the experience. I'll definitely be back--highly recommend!

We didn't feel like driving into DC for a birthday dinner so we decided to finally go to TRIO. With so many accolades we are all expecting alot... Upon entering we wait a few minutes as nobody is at the front of the house. It's a nice looking place...I'd say its more casual than I thought it would be with an expansive bar on the left side with TVs and the dining area to the right. On to the food... French Onion Soup - Decent..not the best we've had but I thought it was good. Others thought it was a bit on the sweet side Tuna Tartare Nachos - Not too impressed Dry Aged Roasted Chicken - Tasty dish with mashed potatoes...comforting New York Strip - Good steak..cooked well but think it could have been seasoned better. For $52 you are getting into the realm of Capital Grille, Randys which I think have better flavor Crab Cakes - Good amount of crab...the son really enjoyed it. Fries were spot on. Overall giving 3.5 stars...Food is good but perhaps we were expecting more with the 4.5 rating on Yelp.

My friend got the filet mignon which she enjoyed. Brian was an excellent server, making sure we had everything we need, handled several requests with promptness and professionalism, and had our bread pudding dessert decorated with "Happy Birthday" for my friend. First time: I had the lobster roll which came heaped with lobster chunks. I had to eat the lobster for a while before I could pick it up or risk the lobster falling out - so nice not to be hungry after getting a lobster roll! It came with a generous serving shoestring fries - really good and grilled corn on the cob. We had Aracely and Delilaha, two friendly and wonderful waitstaff, one of whom was being trained and the other had been there for years. My friend told them that it was my birthday, and they came out later with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with happy birthday written in chocolate and a candle in whipped cream. I was also impressed how even a straw wrapper sitting on the table was scooped up by someone coming by. The tall ceilings gave the restaurant an open, airy atmosphere. Next door is the associated bakery where they have cupcakes, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and other lovely treats.

We started with the calamari, which was crispy, flavorful, and paired really well with the lobster ginger sauce (need more of it on the side, please!). We also ordered the Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip, but unfortunately it wasn't very hot. It came out mildly warm, so it wasn't as melty and gooey as we were expecting. For my entrée, I had the Short Smoked Salmon Filet, and it was cooked to a perfect medium. The Creole mustard sauce added great flavor, and the mash was creamy. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the asparagus. I wish there had been an option to sub it for another side. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of parking both out front and in the side garage. Our server was attentive and kept the Ozzies coming!
