Wow, this place was amazing. I went recently with a party of 10 on a rainy Wednesday early evening. They were able/willing to seat us 30 minutes before our reservation so we didn't need to wait at the bar. Everything on the menu looked great and overall, and the food was incredibly tasty, was served hot, and the ambiance was cozy. The draft beers were served in tall, chilled glasses and perfectly fizzy. Even though the place was packed with happy patrons, it didn't seem too loud inside so we were able to converse quite easily. The decor around the restaurant is classy and pleasing to the eye. The lighting was perfect for evening time. The service was great and well balanced - wait staff was not too pushy nor did they rush us. They also didn't take forever to come around and take orders. Time between order and food delivery was optimal. Overall, it was a solid dining experience and I would certainly recommend it to anyone in the area (near Times Square). Cheers to the staff and management. And compliments to the chef for a stellar menu and beyond expectations on the flavor and execution!

A Must-Visit Every Time I'm in NYC! I make it a point to return to AperiBar every time I'm in New York--it's just that good. The atmosphere is classy and welcoming, and the service is always top-notch. Yana, the manager, is fantastic--warm, professional, and truly makes you feel at home. And Omar, the bartender, is a master of his craft. His cocktails are consistently excellent, and he brings great energy to the bar. Amazing drinks, great people, and a vibe that keeps you coming back. AperiBar never disappoints!

Pollo cacio e pepe, one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had!

This is a great restaurant. We dined here at the end of December and we had a really lovely meal. Our service was excellent and they were attentive throughout the meal. Our cocktails were delicious and our meal was very, very good. My wife had the linguine al gamberi and she loved it and I had the pollo cacio e pepe and it was one of the nicest chicken dishes I've ever had. We ended our meal with espresso, espresso martini, and a fig gelato with kataifi and it was a delicious end to a delicious meal. It's a great little restaurant and one that we would definitely visit again!

This cozy Italian restaurant is tucked 6 min away from Bryant park and offers three seating options: intimate indoor, classy indoor people watching and the casual outdoor nyc experience. We chose the people watching seating ofc. Service was extremely welcoming and luckily they were apart of NYC restaurant week. We started with complimentary focaccia served with salted herby olive oil and a Caesar salad w/ white anchovies and parmesan chip. The focaccia was perfect: light and soft. The olive oil was too salty for me but still great when combined with the bread. I loved the Caesar salad and how it was presented, while the anchovies were a cute touch it didn't add much to the dish. For the main dish we got the rigatoni bolognese (pretty al dente but an A+ in flavor) and the magaherita pizza (A++). We also accompanied our food with drinks: Sicilian sunrise (refreshing, light and tasty) and passion on the rocks (it warms you up and was very strong). I highly recommend the pizza and Sicilian sunrise. Lastly for dessert we got the gelato which honestly gave soft serve but hey it was sweet and hit the spot. I cannot wait to come back and try the other dishes AperiBar has!

Beautiful little spot in the lobby of LUMA hotel. Cute, modern indoor/outdoor kitchen vibe. Our server was the sweetest! Great selections of small bites, pastas and pizzas, and wines and cocktails and perfect for that little nosh. Sitting near window or outside is your best bet to have/hear conversation. View is perfect of Bryant Park so it feels more swanky than it is (ie it's not a pretentious place - that's good news!) Menu options are super tempting but being dairy-free, I didn't have many options. Would go there again to sip & pick, but I wouldn't go there hungry. ...but you can Not good for vegans but good to sit and socialize.

We went out for a late night dinner and this did not disappoint. We had drinks, apps, pizza and dessert. Everything was just so good. From the focaccia to the meatballs. We shared a bunch of items so we could taste everything. The pasta was really fresh. Our waiter was super friendly and chatty. Really great place to spend an evening. Recommend.

Cute place with great appetizers and pasta. We came in a large group for a friend's birthday and the service here was friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store cake in their fridge and served it for us after dinner. We ordered a whole slew of items. My favorites were the shishito peppers, Brussels sprouts, and the bucatini with squash (must get). The branzino, meatballs, and gnocchi were also enjoyable. We shared a couple of bottles of a delicious Chianti as well and had a great time. For dessert we had a couple of their gelatos (vanilla and hazelnut) which were so good and I wish I had been less full to enjoy them more. I would definitely try more pasta dishes here if I come again, as they seem to shine in that area. Would also love to try the scallops.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a mediocre experience. Was part of a large group and our table was ready at the scheduled time. Service throughout the evening was attentive. Opted for the skirt steak medium rare for dinner and it was lacklustre. The skirt steak came out medium well to well done for most of the steak and was quite chewy...bummer. The side of potatoes and tomatoes were on the weak side... The side of broccolini on the other side were fantastic. Flavor was on point and the vegetables were super fresh!

One of my favorite places to enjoy dinner and drinks at the bar in midtown Manhattan. I've had excellent Negronis here; the last time I had a Mezcal one which was delicious. The food is always good and I love their appetizers especially. I had an incredible artichoke one once and blue crab arancini another time. The apps are a great value and you can mix and match them. One of the standout dishes I had was an absolutely incredible chicken with green jus. It was amazing. It took awhile since I believe it was wood-fired in the pizza oven, but I dream of this dish often! The last time I went it was off the menu and there was a seasonal cacio pepe chicken which was also good but not mind blowing. Aesthetically this place is so wonderful. Dark, cozy, warm. A perfect place to spend a few hours in the city. The bartenders and servers are always warm and welcoming. I had a great conversation with Omar and Saba- shoutout to their incredible service! I always look forward to stopping in during my monthly NYC trips.

Wow! This is one of the best restaurants we've tried in a long time. That could be my entire review. I actually don't know where to begin. But it has been forever and a day since we enjoyed a restaurant as much as we did AperiBar. We picked AperiBar at the last minute randomly, and what a treasure. From the excitement and above par service to the exceptional food and unbelievably inviting atmosphere, it was a home run. I think there was one appetizer we weren't crazy about, but it was so unimportant in the scheme of things The food was spectacular. And we are very picky. The service was beyond reproach. There was not a misfire at any point. Okay, it was a bit warm. There's the one negative.

The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch at AperiBar. This is a great option for dinner after a show in East Midtown. First, the ambiance is suitable for a romantic meal or a dinner with friends. When you enter the hotel's front, meet the host in the lounge, and head straight back to a quieter area with an open kitchen view. Dishes tried: The butternut squash bucatini has an excellent, flavorful sauce and texture, with julienned squash that is a surprising twist on Italian but fits very well as a fall dish. The noodles were almost over al dente, but the elegantly flavored dish worked well, and everything seemed very homemade and rustic. As an antipasti, the arancini is served with three on a base of savory bechamel. Don't run out before dessert, as the gelatos are fantastic. I had a fig gelato that was more like a sundae with gelato, fig jam, and fresh figs, which was very satisfying.

AperiBar, which is derived from the Italian word, Aperitivo, is the brainchild of chef/restaurateur Charlie Palmer. Described as an Italianesque concept, this gem was the jackpot selection post matinee Broadway show today (Chicago) and something worth bragging about. I really don't know where to start, BUT---AperiBar is conveniently located in the boutique Luma Hotel, steps away from Bryant Park. There's a formal dining room in the back part, but we decided to sit near the bar lounge area to take advantage of Happy Hour Specials--food and drink. The ambience was stylish yet casual and private. The seating area was near an open window with cocktail tables and comfortable sofas. The service was impeccable. Fortunately, we had the pleasure of Nadja being our server who enhanced the dining experience. She was very knowledgeable answering any questions we had and extended her warm hospitality. As far as food goes AperiBar has a full dinner menu, pre-theater menu or Happy Hour selections. You can definitely share and customize your dinner as desired. We started with the Aperol Spritz ( asked for the grapefruit to be eliminated) and ordered off the dinner menu. Keep in mind, HH runs Monday-Saturday from 4 PM - 6 PM. All appetizers looked amazing and we selected 3 for $23. They were Caponata, Arancini (I saw photos on Yelp where a lot of cheese was drizzled on them and instead asked for the cheese to be placed on the side) , and their Artichoke Romano. Each came out a few minutes apart. Each was undeniably delicious AND real Italian. The Caponata was served with crusty, warm bread and was excellent. I loved the addition of pine nuts coupled with raisins and sweet/sour cubed eggplant. It almost rivaled my family's. Next the Arancini. OMG. A meatless version with saffron and cheese, they were perfectly shaped and sized, crispy but not oily and really good. The cheese was on the side and I occasionally helped myself to it. Decadent. Last but not least was the Artichoke Romano. It wasn't fried which was why we selected it. Rather it was grilled and combined with mint, cheese and pine nuts. Unlike anything I've tasted. We didn't stop there. A Margarita Pizza was ordered to share and based on Nadj'a's feedback, our selections served as the right amount of food for two. By then, I moved on to a Rose which of course was delicious. In fact, all wine was Italian. The main attraction, the Pizza, came out shortly thereafter cut in 8 slices--definitely shareable--a good way to go when dining here. The pizza was perfect in every way-- the crust, the sauce, cheese, basil-- all integrated with an overall olive oil finish. Honestly, I don't think I've had such good pizza all year or even in the last several years. Absolutely delicious. Just when we thought we were done, Nadja was so kind to send a complimentary dessert--the Olive Cake. Again, excellent. Olive oil combined with lemon zest with a side of berries and fresh cream. Couldn't get better than this. Selecting the 3 appetizers followed by the pizza created a very memorable and satisfying meal. I was full for hours, even as I write this. AperiBar offered one of the best meals I had this year. I would be remiss if I didn't give AperiBar its bragging rights. Focus on the positive reviews as they're all accurate It's THAT good and you need to go

    Creste di Galla al Limone
    Tina S.

We stopped by for dinner not once, but twice while visiting NYC. Refreshing Aperispritz was so good! We tried the soppressata & aged parmigiana, and arancini to share. The creste di galla al limone was delicious and fresh! This place has a modern vibe and friendly staff. Great local spot near Tine Square.

The energy is right there, hovering, but it never actually lands. It's giving "almost iconic" but not quite--like a party that never fully starts. And that's what gets me. Because this bar could EASILY be that spot. The kind people plan their week around. Where are the themed nights? Where's the drama? The chaos? Give me a reason to come back on a random Wednesday. Do a city-event tie-in, a holiday takeover, literally anything that makes it feel alive instead of just... existing. Because right now it feels like a missed opportunity wearing a cute outfit. BUT--let's talk about the one thing they absolutely did not fumble: the view. The VIEW??? Insane. Genuinely stunning. The kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence and remember you're in New York and not just spiraling in your own life choices. It's carrying the entire experience on its back, respectfully. So yeah. I'd come back... but mostly for the view and the potential. If they ever decide to actually do something with this space? It could be dangerous (in a good way).
