One of my favorite restaurants is Serafina on East 61st Street, I have always wanted to try this location, so after theater, we caught a late dinner. It's located on a corner and always seemed packed on most of the evenings that we have passed by it. There is a pretty bar area as we walked in, asked for a larger table as having just sat through an almost two hour play, just wanted to be comfy while enjoying dinner. As it was after nine, the host was accommodating and we were able to sit side by side facing another dining area with a beautiful mosaic of a Blonde woman in sunglasses. The decor, especially the art on the walls in different dining areas and accents of strings of red lights throws off a lot of happy vibes. We ordered the Sofia, which is their Cesar Salad, Pappardelle with a Short Rib Ragu and the Chicken Paillard. The wait staff was good and available when we needed anything. The lettuce in salad was not as crispy as it normally is, could have been because it was late, but the entrees were very good. The Pappardelle had a generous amount of short ribs in the sauce, the ribbons of pasta was cooked nicely. The Chicken Paillard was great, the pounded poultry covered the plate. Also ordered a side of sautéed Artichoke which was beautifully plated with stems on the Artichoke and delicious with the glaze from the olive oil it was cooked in. The waiter came by with the Dessert menu saying it was the last call but maybe next time.

Looking for a restaurant in NYC on Christmas Day was not easy so I really appreciate that Serafina was able to accommodate us and they were very nice about it. The food was great, and we enjoyed our meals. However, the service could have been better. Our server seemed to be rushed or rather rushing us. He took our drink order and appetizer order and wanted us to put in the main course already. When I told him we weren't ready and he seemed annoyed. After our food was delievered we didn't seem him again until the check arrived. When we asked about ordering dessert to sing Happy Birthday to my son, he again seemed annoyed. Overall the food was good and again I appreciate that they were able to accommodate us.

Idk why this restaurant has low ratings, you gotta take it for what it is which is if you want fast, standard, italian food without dealing with the BS of trying to grab a resy months in advance or wait in line for two hours for the best italian food in nyc, then it gets the job done. Because I can assure you that Serafina is still better than the italian food you'll find at most other states in the US. One of my friends was visiting from San Diego and he's a very picky eater, he even said this blows SD italian food out of the water. They also have a decent amount of vegan options if you're looking for a place that accomodates evryone

After a matinee of "'The Outsiders" a good cry and an excellent nap, i was just going to go back to sleep at 9:30 pm, skipping dinner. Then I remembered that I was in New York on vacation! I popped into this location of Serafina which was open and down the street from my hotel. The bar was lively , but I opted for a table. The Ravioli Degli Innamorati sounded yummy and adorable and did not disappoint! Heart 1shaped, lobster ravioli in a bisque- like sauce. Service was good, particularly for late-night.

I honestly didn't realize this was a chain but it was new to us so we checked it out. Half of our party ended up at a different one and walked over to meet us at this one. They said that this one served better drinks and was busier. The restaurant is dimly lit with a fun atmosphere. Our service (Ali?) was really great and he provided a lot of great recommendations. We ordered plates and shared a lot of them. The best recommendation they had was chocolate crepe cake on their dessert menu. It was really really good! Also, really enjoyed the meatballs and steak. The chicken parmesan was a healthy serving - definitely share that one!

Nice ambiance - quality Italian cuisine. Lots of locations and has a wide variety to choose from. Pizza was delicious, and pasta was fresh! Typical service - food was served quick and timely

I love sitting at the bar here and having some fries with a martini. It's cozy and lively without ever being overwhelming. And everyone who works here is the sweetest. I left my phone once and they ran after me in the freezing cold to give it back - the freakin best!

I had a wonderful time at this location. The staff is super friendly and full of infectious joy. When we arrived the place was full but they accommodated us perfectly. Our servers did everything in great timing. We did not feel rushed or as though things were too slow. Everything was well placed, clean and the food was great. I had ordered a tequila martini and was very happy to see that the bartender followed my preference. My service pup (who is in a bag) was also welcomed with open arms. Thank you to the staff for being so warm. I recommend this location 100%

I ordered the steak (medium rare) and fries for lunch. The food came out quickly and everything had nice grill marks on it, even including some slices of zucchini and half a carrot. The steak was good quality, a little undercooked (rare) which didn't bother me but it was heavily peppered which I am not a fan of. Fries were like McDonald's, nice and crispy. Other then the pepper (personal preference), it was a very good meal!

We were walking around Manhattan looking for a place to eat, but so many restaurants had long waits. We stumbled upon this place and they were able to seat us quickly, which already felt like a win. The wait staff was super friendly and welcoming from the start. We ordered the calamari, a Caesar salad, and the vodka pizza and everything was really, really good. The calamari was crispy and fresh, the salad was delicious, the sauce for the calamari was exceptionally good. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. So glad we found this spot! Would absolutely come back.

The pizza was great. I was surpised. It was very flavorful, and the dough had good texture. It wasn't New York style like some people might be expecting, but more Italian style. The prosciutto, basil, burrata cheese, sauce, and dough were are flavorful and good complements of each other. The tiramisu was just okay. Not the best I've ever had.

We came here for breakfast because we got a coupon from Dream Hotel and I was suspicious. From the outside, it looked like a no-nothing, do-nothing place. But the surprise was mine. I came in and they had a set menu for the coupon. First, they have gluten-free bread as an option. Check 1. Second, they had a couple of things that didn't feature eggs. Check 2. Third, the people who work there are so nice. The host kept checking on us. We ordered a coffee and got the refill. I got the smoked salmon plate, which was good and it had two beefy slices of tomatoes and sliced onions. My husband ate those. They were good. Then they replenished his toast, which was cool. The breakfast was good and filling. My husband enjoyed his omelet and said that he wanted to come back. And we will. This is a place that has a solid breakfast game and I'm willing to come back.

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
