Lovely place! While visiting NY we were trying to find dinner. It was raining and we found this spot right next to the hotel. The food is absolutely amazing. The drinks are delicious and strong. Everything was seasoned to perfection. It's a little pricey it worth every penny. Would definitely visit again.

Called ahead last minute for a setting of eight. They accommodated at a large table in the back of the uniquely decorated restaurant. Well martinis are always 2 for $18 and they were decent pours. The server was quick and never left us wondering where he was. Bread and butter was served. It was just ok. I ordered the risotto frutti di mare, a delicious bowl of mixed seafood pieces and asparagus in a rich risotto ($31). A tiramisu for dessert was on point. Great location. Excellent choice.

Came to this place on a recommendation, and it definitely did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and always available to answer any questions we had. We ordered the lasagna de la casa and two pizzas -- everything was absolutely delicious. And we couldn't have ended the night any better than with dessert... it was a total banger! The atmosphere is really, really nice -- perfect if you're into great drinks and amazing food. This is the place for you. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

My last review of this restaurant was 8 years ago!!!! I have definitely grown and now with my grown up palette can give a better review lol! This has been a go to for me and my friends for many years and it's good to see that it is still up and running! We always loved coming here for their famous 2 for 1 martinis and I am happy to say they still got it and now they have added some bubbly! As we waited for our table to be ready we decided to wait by the bar. I usually always start with the wonderful lychee martini aka Red Lantern. It is creamy, sweet, strong and just hits the spot. They give you 2 on the spot so pace yourself. My friend let me have a sip of their drink Castaway. I was definitely not a fan. The mango puree was a bit thick for my liking but they enjoyed it and that's what matters. We were finally called to our table and before ordering our meal decided on ordering another drink. (We drink fast y'all) I decided to try a bubbly and got the French 75. Definitely a lot less sweeter than the lychee martini but was still so delicious and refreshing. My friend got The Hipster and that was a crowd pleaser. Much thanks to our wonderful server Marcos (or Marcus) who gave us the recommendation. As for our entrees I got the Pappardelle àl Funghi, and my friends got the Penne à la Vodka, Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi and one of the specials Lobster Ravioli. Each one of our dishes was spectacular. My friend was skeptical about her Gnocchi because of the Gorgonzola but it was soooo damn good and that cheese pull was everything!! The Pappardelle was scrumptious. The crisp of the asparagus and the bite of the soft mushrooms in that wonderful sauce was delicious. And they didn't put too much truffle oil which I'm glad for because sometimes it can be overbearing. You can't go wrong ordering the penne à la vodka. A velvety tomato goodness and the lobster ravioli was not only beautiful to look at. It is comfort food at its finest. We were having a wonderful time catching up and celebrating our friend's promotion but the manager Luke really made us feel like we were at a party. His liveliness, attentiveness, and all around good vibe really just made for an amazing night. There was a moment where a worker dropped a few drinks onto the floor (its happened to all of us) and Luke was right there helping them clean the mess!!! Might not sound like much to others but for me and being in this industry, lots of managers just turn their heads so much props to him. Not to mention Luke was the DJ of the century!! He had us singing along and even taking requests. As our night dwindled down we decided to get an espresso martini to keep the night going and asked our server and Luke for some lively nightlife and they did not disappoint! Our night continued but our bellies were wonderfully full!

    Cheers!

Such a great spot! My first time going with a friend (wasn't her first time tho lol) & their 2 for 1 drinks are the best! So many cute choices that are delish. Super cool & friendly bartender he kept the drinks flowing, didn't try any food but will definitely order a bite when I go back for sure.

I've never had one bad meal here! The food is outstanding no matter what you order. This place is our favorite go to restaurant and has been since 2018! I always get the casa de pollo or if I just want apps the steak skewers, salt and vinegar fries, and asparagus. All cooked and marinated so well! While my husband gets the pizza and also penne vodka. (Which are both very cheesy, which he loves. The wait staff is super nice and the ambiance is always warm and welcoming. If you live in the city or visiting, I would highly recommend this place....you won't be disappointed!

Fun place on 6th avenue. Started with "The Thinker" an espresso martini and a French 75. Each $18 but you get TWO! Double fun! Followed up with calamari. Calamari was a little tough but certainly still nice to have and enjoy. Luke the manager stopped by to check in on us. Nice young man who humored us! We were at bar (which we like to do ) and Hymie took good care of us. Decided we should try a Caesar salad and the Forestale pizza which seems to be a house speciality. Caesar was better than expected and had anchovies! Yes! The pizza had a very thin crackery crust. Mushrooms were fresh. Could have been hotter. Nice place. Good energy. Caesar great. Calamari and pizza good not superb.

Yum food! We did the 2 for 1 martinis and got the dolce vita (passionfruit) -- i would highly recommend. The pollo della casa was highlighted and I had to try it of course, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was moist and delicious and a hearty portion.

Chicken Parmigiano - also very good

One of the best lunches we had on our trip to NYC, close walk to Central Park, we sat outside on the patio. Pizza was the best we had while in NY, nothing else compared. They have 2 for $21 martinis

Came here on a week night for dinner with friends and the service was excellent. They seem pretty busy and therefore will make you wait for your entire party to be seated. But there was room at the bar to order drinks while I waited. They have really great drink deals. 2 for 1 wine, martinis, and other cocktails. They also have a good tapas deal where you can try a few different small plates instead of committing to one appetizer. Everyone at my table agreed the food was fresh and well cooked.

Went on a date here. We had to wait quite a bit before being seated. The waiter was nice. Food came out quickly. My dish, the pappardelli was pretty good and very filling. The drink I got was the Castaway which was strong! Overall I had a good experience, I'd recommend.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

It's better than it needs to be, which in this neighborhood counts for a lot. The room is the star. Brass, smoked mirrors, marble, wallpaper with burlesque dancers, very Gatsby cosplay but done with actual money. Think the Campbell at Grand Central, minus the $28 martini attitude. It's also LOUD downstairs. Ask for upstairs if you want to hear your date. Gin is the program here and they take it seriously, house-infused bottles paired with specific tonics, not an afterthought. My G&T was legitimately well built. Food from chef JC Colón is better than cocktail-bar standard: truffle fries in duck fat are worth it, the lobster mac at $31 is rich and fine but you've had it before. Skip dessert. The steak frites at $48 is where I'd tap out, that's real-restaurant money for bar food execution. Here's the move though: weekday happy hour, 4 to 7. Dollar oysters and $13 cocktails in a room this pretty is one of the best deals in Midtown, full stop. Service was warm and fast even slammed. Not a destination, but if you're near Bryant Park or seeing a show, this beats everything else within five blocks. Book ahead, walk-ins were getting turned away by 5:30.

I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

My first drink was the Adulting and they present it with a spritz if irange blossom. It is definitely a sipping drink due to the 14yr Balvenie. My second drink, Omija, was a lighter drink comparatively. The clarified yogurt gave it a bit of sweetness most Yakult drinkers are familiar with. My partner had both the 5th Ave and Iced Latte. He did not even acknowledge it and it was very clear that he noticed he did it. My wife, quite restrained, let our waitress know what happened. Her response: "What do you want me to do about it?" My wife said that he should not serving water if he doesn't know how to pour it properly. The waitress, moments later, told him what we had said, merely inches from our tables. Beyond awkward. And, instead of coming over and apologizing, he simply never returned to our table. No more water. The waitress had an attitude with us since we sat down - no idea what we could have done - unsure what was going on - but it was beyond unpleasant.
