Within 1 hour I was back in business and my AC system was working better than it ever had before. We had a full HVAC upgrade and replaced the condenser, cooling unit, vent plates, and duct work. The team started in the morning around 9am or so and finished at about 6pm - for all of the work they had to do and having to access the cooling unit in a tight space in the attic, they accomplished a lot in a day's work. To Frank Gay's credit, they came out quickly and determined that the capacitor had blown. I was relieved because it was an older unit. However, the service tech insisted that my machine needed to be replaced. He said it was in critical condition and showed me the readout. He said it was over-amping and wouldn't last two months. Fortunately, they had a "special" going on for new units. Sounded like a sales pitch so I took a picture of the readout he showed me and uploaded it to ChatGPT. It said not to trust those numbers because they were way off and it looked like the probes were reversed. ChatGPT encouraged me to call someone else. So I did. Chilly Billy's came out today - two days later. The AC guy was named Nas - very easy to talk to and smart. He ran the same tests and determined that while my unit is pretty old - it's working fine. The numbers were well within manufacturer guidelines. They said they would not recommend replacing the unit. So, I learned I can't trust Frank Gay. I cancelled my maintenance membership and found a new HVAC company in Chilly Billy. I'm uploading the photos. One is Frank Gay. The other is Chilly Billy two days later. Trust is a big deal.

I am attaching pictures of what my unit now looks like (only a few months old) and will be having a company come remediate the mold that is now not only out there but on my ceiling in my home. Please be careful dealing with this company. I am a veteran, work for the school system and my husband is a firefighter. We don't have the resources to buy a new system and this company has taken advantage of us. Update: I have called and left multiple messages with the front desk with no response. I have not received a single call as they tried to state below and now there is mold everywhere. Avoid this place at all costs. I had a system installed by this company and they have since given me the run around. My new system is only a few months old and there is rust all over the handler. I have tried for weeks to get an answer and no luck. I have mold on the part that connects to my home and can only imagine the mold growing in my vents. I have a newer home that unfortunately needed a new system. I trusted this company and now have water leaking in my garage, mold on my walls and duct, and rust on a new system due to the system always having condensation on it and this company not responding. I was taken advantage of. The new solution is to wrap the handler in duct board I guess so I don't see the damage. I am going to be out the money invested and will need to have a mold remediation specialist come out and a new system installed. I work for the school system and do not have a lot of money to spend on a new system but will have to in order to get through the next Summer! Stay FAR away!
