TOP NOTCH sent a VERY SKILLED technician (Oscar) who was HONEST and STRAIGHT FORWARD -- NO GAMES, NO TRICKY SALES -- Just a REAL EXPLANATION -- which BTW was Much Less of a Problem than Another Company stated - and what a surprise - Also Much Less Expensive than Another Company tried to charge. I UNFORTUNATELY CALLED ANOTHER A/C COMPANY FIRST when my thermostat went blank and A/C would not turn on. The OTHER COMPANY TECH was TRAINED MORE IN SALES THAN A/C REPAIR! He tried to make the repair sound super complicated so I would be confused-- RED FLAG. It felt he was deliberately trying to exaggerate with fast talk and a confusing explanation. He then brought me a sheet with 3 repair options ranging from $2000-$4000 and each included payment plans already included-- ANOTHER RED FLAG! I own what you would call an architecturally difficult home for normal things to be installed. My partner called up Top Notch, and after a few measurements realized the standard couldn't be done. Instead of saying sorry, call someone else, one of their employees, Chris, went above and beyond in trying to move our air handler to where it was not only functional, but will pass inspection, AND match the aesthetic of the house. And the price made the decision to use Top Notch just that much easier. First time we had an issue with our AC since moving here. Checked the circuit breakers, checked the batteries, check to see if power was going into the unit. Everything seemed fine, but it just wouldn't run. Called Top Notch, was told they'd send someone out the next day in the morning. Got another call later saying they had someone nearby they would send out. The man came through and in only 10 minutes finds out that it was a simple clog and all we needed to do was flush it out with water and put vinegar in the line every time we change our air filter. Top Notch repaired our air condition in Winter Haven. Initially there were some problems that required them to come out to our home about five different times. I was upset because our tenants were inconvenienced and uncomfortable, because it was hot and humid. The folks at Top Notch promised me they would make it right, and they certainly did. They are honest, went beyond the call of duty, and went well out of their way to make good on their promise. I hardly recommend them. My wife called me on a Monday afternoon telling me that the AC had quit working. I called Top Notch late in the afternoon and they had the problem sorted by the time I got home from work. A new capacitor was needed. The following Saturday, the AC quit again. This time the 10+ year old disconnect had failed. Top Notch had the problem sorted before I could make it home from my fishing trip in Stuart. Prices were very reasonable for a late day and weekend call out.
