I went in for service with ur company because offer free break inspection and a promise of price comparison lower then others all said and done i was dbl charged first 78 to begin the check on breaks which I understand but you didn't take the amount off of labor when I went with ur business so basically you dbl charged me for labor when you offered me free check also when I left and shopped around I was charged 227$ more then the local auto places an my wheel bearings priced at dbl almost triple the competitive you gave me no advice when saying I only had 500 to work with and asking which out of both service needed to be completed got no alive car is still going to cost another 923 and with such high prices thoughts wld think you would of check or refill fluids im so upset that I got robbed read more

The Apex Automotive on University Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida was not a good experience for my sister. She had to take her VW into their shop for the same problem 3 times. For visit #1 including diagnostic testing (but didn't diagnose the problem) but charged several hundred dollars that visit to be told on visit #2 she needed a new gas cap (coming in at $200 plus) then visit #3 to be told no it's really the EVAP cannister has a crack in it and would be another $900 to repair. When asked about the gas cap from the week before, the manager Michael Carter had no explanation as to why the gas cap had to be replaced even though that wasn't the problem at all. Dishonest business practices. The company used to be Famous Automotive who were THE WORST and now they've been replaced by another business trying to take advantage of people. My sister has recently lost her husband to cancer and took her car to be repaired by an honest business but that was not the situation. AVOID THIS COMPANY. At least this location!! read more

I am a long- time resident of Wellington. Over the past several years I have tried to deal with this particular company. A few years ago, I brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change. While I was waiting, I received a call from Apex telling me I needed new wiper blades. I refused their offer Knowing I had just replaced both. On the way home after turning on my wipers, one of the wipers flew off. After retrieving it and returning home and close inspection of the wiper arm, I noticed that the retaining clip that holds the arm onto the spline spindle was broken off. Being this is a second vehicle I waited a few days to return to Apex about my wiper. In the interim of that time, I noticed Motor oil leaking onto my paver driveway. I decided to check the dipstick myself and to my astonishment it was OVERFILLED by almost 5 quarts. When I took it back, they removed the EXCESS OIL but refused to do anything about my leak or even the wiper arm. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Friendly staff, they do a good job in a timely manner but be aware of the EXTRA repairs if they inform you that your vehicle needs something more. Recently had some tires installed and that went well, no complaints. I understand that repair shops upcharge everything and I can deal with that but I don't appreciate when you are applying a 400% increase in parts alone for additional repairs. I'm glad that I did not agree with going forward with the repairs at Apex as I like to do my own research before major repairs but someone could have easily been fooled into paying over $1000 for something that will probably cost about $500 or less elsewhere. read more

I have been bringing all of my family's vehicles to Apex since 2015. I was referred to Apex from Carmax, who has always fixed on my car, but due to time constraints, they were unable to see me in a timely matter. My car has been through some things to say the least, but the staff at Apex Automotive went Above and Beyond to help me get back on the road. Update to my last review. I changed the oil today and after I poured the drained oil into the empty 5 qt jug that the new oil came in I could see about a half qt of some sort of purple fluid that was separated on top of the oil. Proof that APEX tampered with it by adding something to my oil. I'm sure it wasn't low or they would have charged for it and they didn't. Stay clear is my recommendation! read more

I need to take a moment to express my utmost satisfaction with the service I was provided at Apex Automotive. After calling several auto places, I quickly realized that if you need service on your car on a Saturday after 2:00 pm it's nearly impossible. Apex on the other hand, is open until 5:30 pm. From the first initial call to setting up the appointment and being greeted by friendly and professional staff, exceeded my expectations. I am usually doubtful about taking my car in for service do to a few bad experiences but dealing with Daniel the manager at Apex renewed my confidence. I took in my SUV to check why my AC was blowing hot air, and to my surprise, they found that it was a very simple fix. Even though they took the time to hook up my car to their machine, Daniel felt, charging me for the diagnoses was not warranted. That kind of genuine and ethical practice is rarely found today. Used them for an oil change on my Mercedes SUV, they significantly overcharged. One item that they conceded on was a windshield wiper blade that they wanted to charge $40 for one blade we showed them it was in auto stores for $15 they reduced the fee and said it was corporate pricing and they do not set the fees. Also took my son's car there, paid over $1400 for repairs, the check engine light went on again the next day. He took to another mechanic in Orlando where he lives that would honor Apex warranty, they replaced the aftermarket part, but the check engine light went on again as soon as he left that place as well. He ended up selling the car since it was left undriveable and with no other options since he did not want to spend any more money on repairs. They refuse to take any responsibility for the misdiagnosis or refund any portion of the services rendered. read more

Super helpful, courteous, professional and saved me money! My dealership said I needed new front brakes and drive belt and provided estimates. Apex confirmed I needed new brakes and sent me pictures of the analysis to prove it. Apex charged less than the dealership for the brakes and replaced the rotors instead of grinding the old ones as the dealership would have. Plus, they looked at my drive belt and said it is absolutely fine. Since my vehicle is a 2017 with only 31K miles it makes sense the belt doesn't need to be replaced. I trust Apex and recommend them to everyone! My (former) dealership not so much. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service I received on two separate but recent occasions. After purchasing new tires at Costco I needed an alignment and they recommended Apex. Apex gave me a 15% discount and did a timely job and I was happy. When I left with my bill the gave me a run down of other work they suggested I may need. As it turns out these same services were recommended by Honda on my last visit there, only the pricing was between 15 and 25% less, then on top of that I got the Costco 15% discount. WOW! My coolant light came on on a Friday night. Called first thing Saturday morning and they took me in no problem. Expected it to just need filling but there was a major problem with my water pump. Explained to Paul that I had a warranty with VW and he was great. he filled the coolant so I could get home and was very gracious when I explained I could not let him do the work. My truck was out of alignment I had an alignment done a year ago and another a few months ago neither alignment fixed the problem. Apex showed me that the alignment had not been done because factory alignment plastic inserts had never been removed even though the alignment numbers were in the green the truck pulled right. Took my car there years ago for a vibration left front wheel. The Owner took the car out and then into the shop. 10 minute later he told me I needed suspension work done, and I should do both sides... 700 dollars. I left there , I went to Mercedes on Okeechobee. They told me I had a bad left front tire that was cuffed. Suspension was was all good. Replaced the front tires... smooth as silk. Costco tire center recommend Apex Automotive for my front end alignment repair and provided me with a discount coupon that Apex honors...
