Typical South Florida Trash Mechanics. Called ahead to see if they can handle not scratching aftermarket wheels. I was assured they handle 'Bentleys and Ferraris' and have the right tools to the do the job. So I bring my brand new (never serviced) wheels in with some confidence. At $288 for a tire rotation and alignment - I'm thinking top notch service. Sweet. Well apparently they don't know what non-marring sockets are - I attached a photo for reference so maybe they can get those "right tools for the job". (Hey Mark - You don't use thin walled metal sockets like the one you showed me on high end wheels btw) - but hey maybe they mistaken Bentleys and Ferraris for Civics and Rav 4s. Now I will be a man about this and take ownership that I did not remind them about using the right tools for the job or to not scratch or mar my new wheels and lugs when I arrived - at this point I guess one would assume they knew what they were doing. Welp - trucks finally finished and to my surprise they're nicked up, around the bevels in a few areas and all the sockets are now worn. I let the guy at the counter know and he sends Mark out. At this point this is not something anyone wants to deal with - don't have the time or the energy for it - like this review. But... The line for me is that when a business owner - his name is Mark - gives a concerned customer a rude attitude, speaks to them condescendingly, and blatantly tells me to "maybe next time you need to take it next door" - then we got a problem - now it's worth my time out of principle. So Mark - hopefully Yelp and Google leave this at the top so people with nice cars and trucks think twice about bringing there vehicles to your business. Had appointment 1:30pm to get tire pressure sensor (TPS)replace, drop off the car and they say about an hour or less because I had appointment. The want to charge over $50.00 for diagnostic fee and I'm fine with the fee. FIY, scanning to see which TPS is bad only take a minute. They say they will call me to tell me what they fines in a few minute and to see if like them to go ahead with the repair. 2 hours later I call them because they never called for a report on the diagnostic. They say they have a car in front of mine so mine is next. . First, why are they taking appointments if they late let the car sit. . 20 minute later they took my car in and I guess start scanning just to find out their TPS scanning tool are out dated or not efficient enough to scan a BMW and call me saying they can't do it. I went to pick up my car told them they shouldn't waste my time made me waiting over 2 hour just to find out they can't do the job. They told me they been working on the car for over 2 hours but they not going to charge me. What a BS lie and I told them that the person that call me say they got 1 car ahead so how was it that they working on it for 2 hours.... The person behind the counter ask me would you like us to charge you for 2 hours work. Few of my families and friend go to this location but not any more. Jason let me know there were a few things that needed to be serviced other than what I came in for and worked with me on what we could get done that day. I scheduled a drop off to get the remainder completed, which was new valve covers and a new alternator belt. There was no wear and tear on the tires because my grandfather's car was brand new and only had 5k miles on it (see photos attached). Unless the car is old with aging parts, it's impossible for tires to noticeably create irregular wear patterns in only 5k miles. The owner of tire plus who I already directly spoke with to offered the same BS explanation and mechanics know what they are doing here to upsell seniors and people with no mechanical knowledge and are trying to justify it. Doing repairs that are NOT needed and sometimes charging for repairs that were never done is a common scam in the industry by unethical repair shops and this is one of them. My past 2 experiences: Told I needed a cabin filter because my filter was dirty. My car does not have a cabin filter. When I called them out on it they backtracked and tried to give me a new oil dip stick. Lol. Never got the dip stick. Today I was in the area and I went there out of pure convenience for a simple oil change. I went for lunch with my wife and two hours later, received a call that my car was ready. I picked it up and paid for the oil change. An hour later I get a call saying that I need to bring my car back because the never did the oil change! I asked for a refund and they initially did not want to give it to me. Then the owner tells me to come in and he can have in done in about an hour and he would give me a $20 off coupon. This place is unreal! I wish I could give a negative star review. Do not go here. Customer service is awful and very dishonest. I haven't even gotten into how the try to up-charge and sell things to my wife when she used to go in there. I was only going to this place out of convenience. RUN AWAY! FAST!!! Their poor quality of work cost me having to replace my engine in a 2015 Equinox. I have always kept up with my oil changes, my last two changes (March 2020 and December 17, 2020) were done here at this particular location and not a single indication was passed along about the condition of my engine being sludged up. January 18th I picked my car up from a paint and body shop where it was for a week prior only to drive a mile down the road to my engine shutting down with a signal of "low oil pressure-engine shut down" showing across the dash. We had my car towed to chevy, where the attached pictures were taken, and were told my engine was needed to be replaced due to lack of maintenance. Chevy and 2 other mechanics we have had take a look at my car have all said there is no way in absolute 'heck' that this filter was replaced within the last year. Chevy advised us to reach out to whom has been doing the oil changes, which we did. I called to speak with the manager, Nick, and was told he would give me a call back shortly. 3 hours passed with no phone call so we went ahead up to the store. Nick asked us to bring the vehicle there so him, the owner Mark and their master technician could look at the vehicle and determine what went wrong here and if any responsibility would fall onto them because my work order on 12/17 did show a new filter being done but going by the picture that didn't seem like the case. Nick also stated if the filter indeed wasn't changed then there is def a problem here and that would be an immediate job loss. They had my car for 2 days, the first day they didn't even bother looking at the car, it wasn't even pulled into the bay until some time after 5:00 (I just happen to drive by as they were moving it). All they did was pull the filter and check the oil sludge on the filter, they didn't even take anything apart to fully diagnose anything. Nick and Mark pretty much just let me know that the filter was a new filter that was replaced on 12/17 and that it did it's job by blocking the sludge because of how it was built up on the filter (like pictured), Nick pulled up some online forum and read directly from the forum page while my husband and I sat in the office about some guy explaining that his wifes cars filter did the job just as mine did. He also referenced some other forum that said this is an issue with chevy vehicles and their engines becoming sludged. They said they were't able to catch this happening to my vehicle with my two recent changes done by them because all they do is dump the old oil into a pan, they don't look at the oil coming out, replace with new oil and change the filter (the filter change is clearly extremely questionable). They offered to take my motor apart and clean the parts with their machine to see if that could eliminate me needing to replace the motor but with cost of labor doing that, there would be no guarantee if that would even work. They do a very poor job at throughly changing the oil, if I am bringing my car in for an oil change I am also relying on the mechanic/technician/shop to let me know of any other issues that need addressing. More than likely we're totally SOL here since this is an independently owned and operated shop, they are only licensed by Tires Plus to sell their tires, but we are sending my oil in for an analysis any way and definitely plan to push for Mark to take some sort of responsibility with his shops screw up here. I went to another location for an oil change in 2017/2018 so of course blame is being put there, saying I went too long without doing my oil changes; which I didn't, I never have!! I pulled into this Lake Worth store because one of my original tires with 30,000 miles kept losing air pressure. I met with Jason Guthrie who educated me about tire dry rot that is common in south Florida. Since you must replace a rotted tire we decided to purchase 4 new tires . We got almost 5 years from the original tires which is good considering the elements in Florida. To save some real money Jason pointed us to a brand I did not know, Ironman by Hercules. Since we only put 6,000 miles a year Jason explained we would be fine with a well built 40,000 mile tire instead of spending over 50 percent more for a high mileage tire. He ordered the tires and within 2 hours he called to tell us the tires came in and gave us an early morning appointment for the next day. The mechanic took our car immediately the following morning, installed, balenced then did a wheel alignment. We were out under 2 hours and felt very good as how we were treated. So far we love the ride and handling of these tires on my Ford Edge. I was also happy to read all the positive reviews regarding Ironman tires. read more

He genuinely sounded like he did not need or want the job. I called a long time ago and it was the same reaction from workers at this location. I need an oil change and wheel alignment. I wanted to make a 3 pm appt and he said they close at 5pm and cannot do these jobs because it's, in his opion, to late. Then I asked only for oil change and also was unwelcome if with an appointment. Anything to avoid working. He said they are franchise and can set their own jobs and do not follow corporate policies. I can not say enough good things about this place! I live in the development behind here and if I had to leave my car for work that was going to take a while someone from the shop would drive me home. I could go in there and try to duplicate whatever noise my car was making vocally (which usually sounds no where near what the car noise is) but they would get in the car with me and I would be able to duplicate the problem (for those times when the car only made a funny noise with you do this...) They have always taken good care of my car and me. My husband does most of my work now but still use them for oil changes and things. One time my car broke down (transmission went) as I was pulling out of my development and the owner was test driving a car on the road and saw me and helped push my car out of the middle of the road. I got about 250,000 miles on my car because of their ability to diagnose and fix and offer preventative work to be done.
