He provided a straightforward flat quote for parts and service. Other shops eventually replied that they needed more information, or replied later with a quote range of prices. By that time, Joseph's quote was in the lower cost range, so I read all of VIsionary Automotive's 5 star reviews, checked their direct website for their service details, searched online to see if there were any business complaints for red flags, messaged him some additional questions, and he responded quickly with straight forward answers. I liked that he provided onsite service, and it was much more convenient for me without the hassle of driving and waiting for shop service time, arranging rides, ect... so I booked his service. He and his partner provided great communication, confirming appointment time, their ETA updates, and was very punctual arriving on time and just got to work. Upon inspection, I needed a missing bolt and decided to replace the worn drive belt too since it needed to be loosened to replace the alternator anyway. Joseph ordered the parts and rescheduled. They came back a couple days later, tested the issue to confirm that the old alternator was failiing, and completed the job in about an hour and a half, and the alternator replacement is working great and charging the battery again. After service, I was able to pay and get the service invoice emailed to me, and also got a text for an optional Visionary Automotive web app that shows service provided, itemized downloadable service receipt showing parts and labor, and warranty date. It's the first time I've seen this and think it's pretty cool, providing this info for the customer. He guarantees his work for 12 months, and the replacement alternator has a lifetime warranty from the store. It was a great efficient and convenient quality service, honest straightforward answers with no hidden fees and upselling. I also like supporting a young business, so will work Joseph and Visionary Automotive again when I need honest, fast, reliable auto service.

Said I have "approve" I didn't do that previously, they just sent a text that they're coming on a certain date...They Only texted me, said they would be there on 7/21 they NEVER showed up nor responded to my texts after the appointed time. Terrible Service!!! Dishonest and try to blame the customer.

Alberto was responsive and had a team out in a day. Work was completed and payment requested. It ended up being more work than he anticipated and we agreed upon a higher rate. It was fair and I paid. Both he and his team made comments about a one year warranty on anything they touched. 5 star rating at this point. After a couple days, there was something off. Upon inspection, his team set the second shock at a different height than the first. I messaged him a couple times including pictures. He finally answered when I called. We set up a time for his guys to fix it. They didn't show the first day and after calls and messages, he answered and set up for the next day. They came out and fixed it but noticed that this caused a bolt to bend. They ordered new ones and installed the following day. 4 star rating at this point. 2 days of driving and a new talking sound is happening. Many calls and messages and no response or answer. It turned out his team did not install the bushings on one of the shocks and left the sway bar loose. Should be no stars. His team that arrived was nice enough and clean. I'm guessing they should have had a senior mechanic overseeing them due to the errors. As for his stated "warranty", it seems to be one of convenience and sounds good but it holds no water. Alberto isn't an honest business person and does not stand by his word.

PM Autoworks only quotes $200/hour, so a significant savings if it takes more than an hour. One downside is that it took 2 weeks before I could get an appointment at PM Auto for service & diagnostics. While there I had my car fluids changed (brake, coolant, and transmission), tires rotated, spark plugs changed, AC recharge, change out O2 sensors. Pros: * Good communication with Gustavo / Sun. * Friendly staff * Fast service. Dropped off car at 9am and it was ready before 4pm. * Prices more reasonable than Stevens Creek Subaru. * Thorough inspection of vehicle with photos of potential problems down the road. Cons: * Depends on your luck in regards to appointment * May have some extra wait time during drop off or pick-up as there is one person handling pickup / payment.
