It was initially explained from Mike that the labor to install the new panel was included after I questioned the pricing on what was charged. Also what type of business would try to insult someone's personal intelligence at all let alone post it publicly. Shows the true colors of a person when they go to this level. Keep pricing transparent fair and consistent and you won't have future opportunities. I would recommend to others to ensure you know what you are going to be charged upfront as they stated they would do and did not happen. Once again technicians that came out were great with no issues with the work. UPDATE: True colors of an individual come out as seen in the review. Business owner Mike thinks he can take a bully approach to solve his problems. What comes goes around definitely comes around. Others beware the approach this business takes on taking care of its customers and their surprise billing practices. I will not be responding going forward on Mike's responses as all can make decisions based off what has been submitted and owner's response. Kim Van Wieren came out to do my in-home estimate, and he brought a massive amount of samples to look through. After coordinating with my sister who lives overseas, we settled on a colour and amount of transparency. Once the shades were ready, Kim came back out and did the installation. I could not be happier with the quality and the overall look. Switching from the old dated plastic miniblinds to modern shades made the room really come alive. This was the BEST decision I could have made and Kim was so patient and kind throughout the whole process.

Their diagnosis was that the garage door opener was old (yes it was approximately 21 years old) and tired. Tired? They recommended replacement. They installed a new Chamberlain 3/4 hp garage door opener for $1,138.50 which included a "service fee" of $38.50 which I assume was for inspecting the door and lubricating it, which it needed. They did not break out the cost of the opener and labor so here is my analysis using Lowe's for a comparison. Lowe's has two Chamberlain 3/4 hp openers. The lesser valued one is $279.00. The higher priced one is $319.00. Both have battery backup for opening when the electricity goes out. Lowe's will install for $139.00 per their ad, so highest price for the Lowe's Opener is $319.00 plus $26.32 sales tax plus Lowe's installation cost $139.00 labor being a total of $484.32 if installed by Lowe's. The installer contacted me at 10:03 AM, being the start of the job I assume. I do not know what the inspection and lube job cost as the invoice is not itemized but they installed, inspected, and lubricated the garage door opener by not later than 12:14 PM being the time stamp on "Garage Door Service & Repair('s)" email conveying the invoice to me, being a total of 2 hours and 11 minutes per telephone and email records. That is approximately $299.63 an hour. I note that the identification headers recorded on my telephone list "Garage Doors & Gates", "Garage Door Service and Repair", Yelp lists "Accent Garage Doors", and the Invoice lists Garage Door Service & Repair". So I suppose the Vendor was "Garage Door Service and Repair". So is this one business operating under several names? Comparative estimates I obtained by telephone after the fact for the job were between $600.00 (Lowe's $484.32 online) and $1,200.00 so they were at the top of the upper range. That said, I would go with Lowe's deal next time and likely save between $400.00 and $600.00.

We paid in full, so can't speak to financing. Our sales rep (Zach) started strong, but was hard to reach after booking. When weather delayed our install and left a large sand pile in the street (a safety and HOA issue), we couldn't get a hold of him--even the install team had trouble. I had to step in and offer a temporary tarp/cone solution myself. Tip: Texting a team member is more effective than calling. Calls go to the main office. Despite the sales rep gap, the installation team was excellent. They were efficient, professional, and finished the job in one day. Cleanup was great, and they came back as early as 7 AM to resolve post-install questions. 2-Year Follow-Up (as of 5/14/2025): Almost two years later, customer service remains solid. We've had a few normal turf issues and they've addressed every one quickly. The lawn still looks great--we're overall very happy. He used some kind of high-tech equipment to measure our floors and figure out how much our slab was off, then walked us through all his findings in plain English. Turns out we didn't need any major foundation work right now (which was a huge relief!), but JT still gave us some great tips on how to prevent future issues. I really appreciated how honest he was -- no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. It's nice to know there are still honest foundation companies out there that care more about helping people than just making a quick buck. I asked Continental Foundation to inspect my house because I needed a second opinion as to whether…read moreor not work needed to be performed. I am in the middle of selling a house and the decision to have work done is expensive in time, if not necessarily in cost, as any interior repairs would have to be done a month after the foundation work was completed, to let stress in the structure settle & relieve. One of the owner's, Frank, came out and inspected the foundation. He was extremely knowledgeable and discovered a myriad of things that I was not aware of regarding foundation work, such as the different type of piles and that because it was structural work, the repairs should be stamped by a professional engineer, and that if Continental did any work, his plans would in fact be stamped. In the end he determined that the foundation was good as is and that I did not need to go chasing unnecessary repairs at this point in time. Needless to say, that was great news to hear and shows what an upstanding company Continental Foundation is. Many other companies would have been more than happy to start digging around the house to perform costly and substandard work.
