I have ordered twice from Aplos and both times were great! I have had the spinach & artichoke dip along with the feta dip. Both great! A little gold from delivery but a quick reheat and it was good as fresh! The falafel wrap is tasty and light! I've had the margherita and cheese pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy and the pizza was not too overwhelming with cheese or sauce. This little restaurant tucked away behind Whole Foods was a very pleasant surprise. I got the Aplos salad with lamb and Taziki dressing. It was out of this world. I loved it! I enjoy it a lot, HOWEVER you will need to go as early as you can , because this place closes so early. 8pm is not an ideal time to close a restaurant , esp on the weekends, that's when ppl get out to go sit , eat & mingle. I highly suggest you DO NOT order to-go. They DO NOT seem to have the staff to manage such difficult endeavors. I understand that things happen. At my last to-go order I bought 2 pizzas, and they sent me out with a pizza that when I had to bring back (pictured below). The manager himself said, "how did anyone sell that?!?". It was bad. BUT, I get it, things happen no big deal, they made another and all was good. Then I ordered again within the same 30 days, and I watched my waiter write down my order. Only to get home and find out they'd forgotten to include everything I ordered. My order was double checked by the manager, but the fact that they'd not included my entire order meant they thought they had everything. I got home only to figure out they had left off parts of my order. Then I had to drive back. I was truly surprised to see some haters reviewing this place. Aplos is PERFECT. something for everyone there. I eat mostly plant based/vegan and they have a vegan falafel item that can come as either a salad or a wrap and both taste amazing. The falafel is well seasoned but not too hard. The fried cauliflower is lightly breaded and flavorful. The waiters and the management are so kind and always make sure you're taken care of even when busy and even though it's not a full service restaurant. The frozen rosé or frozé is magnificent. The hummus is smooth as butter. The pizzas are mouthwatering and the meat items make me want to abandon my lifestyle for that pork wrap. After reading a review from a fellow Yelper I called one of my girls and headed over to check it out. First and most importantly (to proud dog lovers), they have outdoor seating and will allow you to bring your dog as long as you're eating on the patios. When we walked in we were greeted immediately and approached the counter to place our order. You can also head straight to the bar and will be waited on by the bartender- we didn't know this until later, but will do next visit. After we placed our order we sat down with a number and waited less than 4 mins before our food was brought out. Design and Feel: Very modern and simple. I love these simple yet elegant dining areas. Food and Drinks: if you've read my reviews, you know I like my beverages Guess what?! They have Frozé (Frozen Rosé) and two other frozen beverages. We had all three and wow they were good! Food was decent. We placed order through yelp/grub hub for takeaway. Grub hub apparently didn't send the order to the restaurant, so it wasn't ready when we arrived. This is no big deal, manager just put in order and started the order. No apology or anything, no indication of how long the order may take, had to ask for drink cups. Unfortunately, none of these inconveniences compares to the lack of mask wearing by some staff, including the manager, no enforcement or guidance on maintaining social distancing for inside diners, and no enforcement of mask wearing for guests waiting for orders, still utilizing a self-serve soda fountain. I can forgive a restaurant for misplaced orders, and I do not blame a restaurant for the stupidity of the public, but if you are going to open up for indoor dining, then YOU need to set the example with staff wearing masks, properly spaced tables, and insisting on mask wearing from your customers. read more

Aplos used to be one of my favorite Mediterranean places to dine at. I usually order a steak gyro and make it a meal "deal" which included a side of fries and a drink. I recently went, after the restaurant expansion, and discovered that they no longer offer meals nor the same quality or quantity of food. Everything is sold ala carte and my normal order now runs me nearly $20. This price is outrageous for just a simple lunch run. So off the recommendations of others I ventured out to a restaurant that I was interested in trying our Aplo's JXN. So as I walked up to the restaurant let me preface it by saying it's in the courtyard. They have a lot of outdoor seating. As I entered the restaurant it was beautiful. It is white, modern and clean. I mean it reminded me of the old movies of them showing a hospital. That clean. And a wild soda machine. There is seating inside as well and a bar area that they serve food to. I was greeted and the server, Mallory, (name on the receipt) was very good at asking me questions as well as making suggestions. So they have an Appetizer Sampler that includes 3 of their small sides. I tried the fried Cauliflower, the Fried Cheese, an lastly the Stuffed Grape Leaves. Now when I say that the service is fast, I mean that the 3 dishes were brought out in a matter of minutes. Now I'm a fan of Cauliflower, but having it fried was a new one for me. The florets were firm. There was a touch of maybe red pepper flakes on it? Lemon as well. Was great overall. I had the Fried Cheese Sticks (4) next. They were wrapped in maybe a wonton wrapper. Crunchy, cheesy, and fully melted inside. But the Dipping sauce was the star of this dish. Sweet, and tart at the same time. I would love to have it on a pasta dish. I then tried the Stuffed Grape Leaves (4). The. Flavors were good, fork tender and a good sauce. So I came here for the GYRO. I consider myself a good judge of lamb gyro's. This is nothing like anything i have ever experienced before. They use lamb shank, not a proceed lamb and beef skewer on a spindle that they shave off. Usually lamb has a game taste to eat and a grassy note showing what and where they grazed. Nope, not here. It reminded me of a Cuban dish called Ropa Vieja. The meat was pulled apart, thin, and was juicy. It was topped with lettuce, pickled red onion, tomato, cucumber, baby kale as well as feta and tzatziki sauce. I feel that the gyro needed some more sauce on it.. Now the appetizers are lemon forward. I also think that the portion size is a bit on the smaller side for what I'm paying for. I talked to the owner and he stated almost all is made in house. So the ratings: Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Dress Code: Business Casual. Will I come back? Yes, Definitely.
