Obviously all bachlorette parties need a good story, and double obviously you're going to get a good story out of a place called Apocalypse Paintballing, so off we went! Pro-Tip: Check Groupon for deals beforehand! When you show up, it's a super rugged looking space. Just park somewhere next to the other cars in the dirt, and start your orientation at the main hut. Seeing as we were first timers, Brandon and Carver were put in the round to protect and guide us! There are 15 fields, so we started playing with the big group in a 15-minute session. It was intimidating because they were all big, muscular men, but we played along anyway! Following that, Brandon and Carver were gracious enough to take us out on a separate field and let us play against each other, which was SO MUCH FUN. It's going to be hot, and you're going to get dirty, so just wear some old clothes. The paint does wash off, which is a plus. If you can, protect your head and hands. I went home with a super bruised, swollen knuckle, which was painful but bearable, and another girl went home with a very large welt on her head. It happens all the time, so if you're not one for pain, cover up appropriately. I would highly suggest giving paintballing a shot! Go in with a good attitude and you're guaranteed to have a great time! read more

This place fits the name...broken down car, swamp and trailer (used as rental area), but that's all okay it fosters a spooky atmosphere. What is NOT okay is driving all the way out there for a middle school birthday celebration and finding that NO ONE was wearing a mask. My family was the only one and we were appalled to watch a bunch of boys cram themselves into a trailer to get "geared up". So dangerous when WI numbers are climbing... We had to take our very disappointed son home. It was clear that safety was not a concern (in addition to ignoring the mask mandate there was poison ivy on the trail, and broken "stuff" everywhere). Additionally, there was no sense of organization (ie. there were no signs for additional parking (of which they had plenty), you just had to hope that down "that" dirt road with the tree limb bumping your roof was additional parking). In summary, this place is NOT safe... I know this is not the best review, but I would like to give a shout-out to Cam, the manager. He was friendly and informative! Thank you Cam! read more

Played here as a group from work of 16. They have several courses that some are better than others for the size, but all were fun and part of nature. The castle course was pretty cool. Some of the areas were a bit flooded but that was Mother Nature. Had my12 year old with us. He's at the lowest age bracket I could see going there. He took a couple shots that you could tell stung him more than most. Either way we had fun and made some great memories. read more

I gave up my paintball virginity to Apocalypse Paintball, and I was glad it happened. Though the equipment was rather old, the experience was thrilling. There are quite a few courses/terrain here, which were very inventive and fun-looking. Our judge was great too and he organized fun games and competitions for us. The Apocalypse Paintball area wasn't that packed, so it was great having the full paintball experience to ourselves without being rushed or having to play against super experienced paintballers. read more

This place from the view I had is massive and offers many different options when it comes to plans of attack. My church group brought up a van full of teen boys to play Paintball, they boys loved it. We would see the boys come back for breaks and to get more ammo, and we'd see them all colored up, everyone had paint from head to toe. This course was outside but the weather was fair, like an early autumn sunny day. The staff were friendly, active and young, like our boys. They provided all necessary gear, instruction and guidance. They had snacks that were better priced than any other activity/game room i've ever been to...Name brand things(crunch, twix, Sprite, Mountain Dew, Doritos). The only downside, is that there were no cameras to see the paintball war ensue. Great experience for the boys and sitting area for the chaperones. read more

AP is an awesome Paintball field and we use to live only 20 min away. We went there many times and I would have to say that it is still our favorite PB field we have been to. Had many parties there with kids and adults. Had a BDay party from my son and his friends and dads and it was amazing. Before that I put on a private party for 50 or my friends and co-workers, we rented the entire place and played for 12 hrs. Just a great place and great staff. In my limited knowledge of paintball, this place was pretty awesome. Andrew (our guide) was very willing to work with our team of 11 and lead us through a bunch of different games, and even took some of the suggestions from the group to alter up the rules to keep things different! Gear/field rental was $24 a person, and $100 buys your group a case of 2000 paintball to shoot. Apocalypse has mostly a wooded theme, with a lot of different style sized fields set up. Some with tin shields, some with wooden barns, some with towers, some with trenches... every field was a different approach, and very enjoyable. All in all, it was an awesome time! read more

They really are the only authentic outdoor paintball facility in the area. They're the first one I've ever went to when I was a kid about 20 years ago so I would say it's a damn good place to go read more

This place is far from what I expected. It was awesome. like it literally inspired awe. I'm now sad i don't live in Wisconsin because of this field. we (my team and I) came here for the SAS reunion game as this is sort of a Mecca for us. this field was where the team got its roots and it was fun to play in a place of history. I was taken aback at the sheer size and scope of this field being from assachusetts (not a spelling error) this was impressive to say the least. From the ACTUAL castle to the trenches and bunkers and mock towns I had a blast playing here. the refs were great and on top of things not like some fields where it seems like they have no idea what they are doing or aren't even watching the game. and the production of the game was professional. the game was fun and it helped that...we won in the end but its definitely a field i would go back to and absolutely worth the 17 hours to drive there and the 17 hours back. and I hope to play there again someday. read more

We played once at Apocalypse, and it we won't go back again. The staff was rude, condescending, and not the least bit helpful. It was almost as if we were an inconvenience (and my group spent several hundred dollars). They refused to help players and were inpatient. On the plus side, the courses were good and well thought out. But that was irrelevant because of the staff. Afterwards, every person in my group remarked how poor the Apocalypse staff were. We agreed that we wouldn't be wasting our money at Apocalypse again. read more

We made reservations 2 weeks in advance for a group of about 20. When we arrived we were informed that they only had 1 ref and we would have to play with walk-ons. We were there to have fun, but were forced to play against some sponsored try-hards that wiped paint and shot people that were clearly out. When we complained, the ref said we were just mad because we were getting beat. After we walked off, some remainders from our group said the ref was trash talking us. They were extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and treated us like our reservations and our money (lots of it) meant nothing to them. We will never go back! read more
