The nurse practitioner that I saw (Leema Mathews) was wonderful. She spent more than 30 minutes…read morewith me, and was kind, respectful, and thorough. In addition to three tests (Flu, Covid, and Strep), which all came out negative, she checked my lungs, my lymph nodes, etc. etc. She took the time to explain (and print out) what things I had been doing that I should continue, what I should change (and why). She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.

A mild case but the big "19" indeed. Where did I shove my stash of masks? What previously agreed to holiday mirth will now be foregone with (almost) regrets? I can't say I'm that broken up about it. It's a Dickensian Christmas for me, sipping soup swaddled in some moth-eaten blanket. Is that Jacob Marley I hear jangling up the stairs. Humbug. Oh yeah CVS, they were swell. Five easy stars.

Professional Physical Therapist (Patrick Wallace). He's very skillful, and a great teacher. He taught me a few great workouts to assist w my temporary knee pain. They are located on the lower level as soon as you walk in. It's clean and has lots of seating. No appointment is necessary although you can make an appointment if that's more convenient. They not only treat injuries, but also have physical therapy by appointment. The hours are beyond convenient (open M-F until 7:30pm and even Saturday hours). Every staff member was very helpful and they take care of your needs. Everyone is friendly. Their level of care is terrific and they are efficient. I was in and out in less than an hour. This is a one stop shop! They have X-rays available right there in the office which makes treatment so much easier. They also have many contraptions that one may need for orthopedic care without having to go some other place. The most incredible thing is that you can just walk-in without an apt! There's a kiosk at the front of the waiting area where you register and scan your license and insurance information. They then call you to the desk to complete the process and where you pay your copay. Within minutes - depending upon the amount of people in the waiting room - you are called back. This is like a walk-in clinic but without all the sickness/germs and waiting! I am sure it would be more of a wait if there were more people there with me. However, all components of the process run smoothly and efficiently. I cannot recommend this place enough! I am going to share with as many people as I can. Their prices are even better than those quick care places. It's wonderful having a place that is walk-in for those who unfortunately get injured outside of the normal time window of care at a doctor's office. It's nice that they specialize in orthopedic excellence!!

There should be more than one provided at such a busy location. Christiana can fix this...if they want to. I was there on Feb 9th to have a PPD read; this is a quick and painless need. Was previously told to come back and the reading would not be a problem. I waited over 30 minutes and was not read. While I was walking out, the girl at the front said their one provider was busy. Cool, there are emergencies in medicine. No problem. My problem is with the manner of the young girl with the cornrows at the front desk. When I walked in, she immediately directed me to sign-in. There's no sign in for what I was there for. She was annoyed when I handed her my paperwork, and placed it on a counter behind her. She did not mention it to the women seated at the desk behind her until I had already been sitting there for 15-20 minutes. After sitting for over 30 minutes, I ask for my paperwork back; I clearly was not in the queue to be seen, and I didn't anticipate this quick taking so long. When the worker gave me the paperwork back, she said, "Don't snatch it!" It was such an unnecessary provocation, I nearly laughed. I did not snatch, and she was the one who, clearly, had an attitude. She is early in her career and need professional adjustment. People in medical care, at all levels, need to have a polite "bedside" manner. ChristianaCare, train your employees to be better AND provide the necessary support they need to execute their jobs correctly. Do not come to this location. They absolutely do not want you there.
