I work part time for an event center and could not wait to see how a grand piano could be carted, turned right side up, and set back in the position from which it was moved. I was amazed, and sorry I did not video tape this wonder. They were very gentle moving the grand and communicated back and forth making sure no corners were nicked and everything was balanced. Apollo Piano Moving did a super job in moving my beautiful, new (to me!) upright piano from Lee's Piano in Centreville, VA to our home in Ashburn. They called the night before to give me the arrival time frame, and I appreciated that they also called the next moving to say they were running a little late, which was fine. My dear old console piano was carefully moved out and the guys did an amazing job bringing the upright in and placing it perfectly. I called other piano moving services in the Lancaster area to move my two pianos from a single location to two different destinations - the other piano movers, reifsnyders and congressional both wanted to charge me 550-700 dollars! I called Apollo, and they said they'd be in the area, so they could just help out on their way to another pickup. They charged half the cost of other competitors. These guys did a double move (Steinway and Kimball grands) for me in August in DC/MD. I noted all the negative reviews, but I honestly had a great experience with these guys - on time, efficient, professional, couldn't have asked for better service. I would trust these guys with my Steinway, again. Their charge for moving the pianos was also EXTREMELY reasonable. I would absolutely recommend these guys. Jake and his fellow movers did an extremely difficult piano move for us up a flight of turn-around stairs into our loft. All four men retained their sense of humor during this hair-raising feat. If only all movers were this easy to work with. Sent a message to ask for a quote, got an actual quote with a dollar figure, promptly, and asked for name & phone number. Sent name & number, with preferred date & time, and the piano disposal was confirmed. It went off promptly and professionally without a hitch. It was sad to see our antique piano go, but it was 900 pounds and beyond repair, so it was just its time -- and I was very glad to have Jake handle the disposal so easily. read more

DISHONEST AND UNRELIABLE. Jake told me January 8th 2018 he would move a safe for me on for a move on January 19th. On January 17th he told me it would be problematic for him to keep his word and he was cancelling our agreement. Worse, he told me that he would sell me a safe if I would screw the seller of existing safe and go back on my word with them. I was shocked. Do business with this man if you want. They called thirty minutes before they were going to arrive which was so helpful. They were careful with the piano and also made sure they were extra careful with our hard wood floors. I had a specialty move--I needed to move a big, heavy hutch up a long, narrow staircase, around a sharp corner and up a shorter staircase. Although it was a short job, it was difficult. But Jake and the crew made it look almost easy. They were on time, professional and very personable, while taking great care with my furniture. I am very, very pleased. EXCELLENT!!!! They moved my 6' Yamaha down a flight of stairs, no problem. They charged a very reasonable flat rate. They called when they said they would, showed up on time, were fast and very experienced. The movers were friendly and did an awesome job. Moved a baby grand out of my neighbor's house in 20 minutes and into my house in 15 minutes with a short drive inbetween. I had a wonderful experience with them. They picked up my baby grand after we had some serious water damage to our house.
