Caution if you have clothes of quality stay away. They destroyed two men's slack which required dry cleaning and they clearly washed and shrunk. They repaired one trying to offset over an inch loss on length but told me to get loss on second. Fabric destroyed on both wouldn't explain how it happened. They clearly shouldn't be in business. Usually on mishaps most quality dry cleaners will pay at least 30% on destroyed clothes. Not even one star stay clear. read more

The owner is a prick. I feel sorry for his staff. I went in and he quoted me one price, then charged me double when I came to pick it up. Exclaiming the shirt needed 'hand ironing'. If that was the case he should have informed me prior to doing the work, seeing as he was the one who checked it in. I am not the only person he does this to. Please check out the other reviews. Apollo cleaned my incredibly delicate wedding dress for the lowest price I could find, and I called all over town. They did an incredible job. We had a barn wedding so my dress was trashed. To make it worse, I waited 10 months to bring it in to get cleaned. The entire dress was lace and petticoat and all kinds of delicate materials, but it came back a beautiful white, good as new. I don't know how he was able to get all that black dirt out almost a year later, but I am so grateful!! read more

410 Not a good experience. I dropped off a shirt and a pair of pants on Wed, the day before Thanksgiving, and was quoted 8 bucks for both. It was to be done on Monday (even though the sign said 1 hour service) and that was fine because I did not need them sooner. I picked them up today and they said that it would be $13. I asked why, and the counter person said that they charged me $5 for cleaning a handkerchief. I said that that was too much. She brought out the owner who proceeded to tell me that I need to clean my pockets out before dropping off the laundry. I agreed, but said that I did not want to pay $5 for a hanky. He said that I must anyway. When I said that I would not, he angrily charged me $8.50 and angrily gave me my change from a $10 bill and then gave me my clothes and kept my clean hanky. I won't be back. Last time I dropped off my clothes, the girl behind the counter asked if I had unbuttoned all of my buttons, including my cuffs. It was then that I noticed another customer going through all his shirts to check his buttons. The employee informed me that she has been spending too much time checking everybodys buttons so we had to check them before leaving our laundry. Not that I mind checking and making her job easier, but 1) There had never been a sign or request for this before, and all but my cuffs were unbuttoned 2) She made me feel like a child who had done something wrong 3) It's her job, not mine. I'm the customer and I was made to feel foolish. It would have been much more appropriate to place a sign, or to state, "Going forward, please be sure all of your buttons are unbuttoned." When I picked up my laundry the same girl was there again and I asked about the previous owners. Apparently she is their daughter and is being groomed to take over. She is a very negative person and needs to learn basic lessons in customer service. On the bright side, no more driving to Tempe for my dry cleaning; I can find bad service anywhere. read more

We have taken dry cleaning to Apollo's twice now. The first time we went we took 3 dresses, one silk shirt, and 4 button down shirts. Everything came back perfectly and they were ready the day after my husband dropped them off. The bill was about $45 for all of that. On Saturday morning, I dropped off 2 dresses, one suit jacket, and 1 button up shirt. One of the dresses required a rip to be sewn up which they were able to take care of. All of the items except for the ripped dress were available for pickup on Monday and the ripped dress was fixed and ready for pickup on Wednesday. I couldn't be happier that my one dress was able to be repaired and Apollo's did a fantastic job. The total for those four items came to $38. The woman who is always working when I go in is very friendly and lovely to chat with. I haven't been to other dry cleaners here in the Valley, so I don't know how the prices compare, but Apollo's is quick, has good hours, and is convenient to where we live. It's located in the shopping center across from the Safeway on the corner of Broadway and Rural Roads. They are open Monday-Saturday, closed on Sundays. During the week they are open until 7 pm and on Saturdays from 9-5. read more

Back in November 2015 I took in all of my dress pants for dry cleaning 4 days before a business trip. The next evening when I went to pick them up, I found that they had lost the pants. They may have given them to another customer. I waited there for over an hour that night while the salesperson tried to find my pants, only while there weren't other customers there. I had to awkwardly sit there while she helped others instead of trying to find the clothes they had lost. She tried to contact the owner to no avail, and told me to call the next day to work something out with them. I made it clear that I needed the pants prior to my trip, otherwise I would be forced to rush and buy new pants, because I now had none...The salesperson even refused to refund my payment for the dry cleaning service, even though the only service I got was their business losing all of my items. I was told the next day to provide a receipt for the purchased pants, and if they couldn't find them before my trip they would reimburse me in full. No problem, right? Wrong. I have been in contact with the owner, Mike, multiple times since then - everytime he tells me either 'The check will be in the mail today.' OR more recently 'Let me check my bank statements, pretty sure I sent it!'. Well I can tell you, to this day I've never seen a check. Or even a refund for the dry cleaning service. Please be careful when you use their service, sometimes the price isn't worth the hassle when something goes wrong. Poor customer service, A mess of a business. I've spent way too much time with them there trying to get a resolution to this issue. Time to move on and go else where! Just an update: I called again about a couple of weeks ago and now the owner is trying to blame the USPS for not delivering his checks after 'multiple tries' to my home - saying it's not his fault. I got ripped off. I wanted three sports shirts cleaned. I was expecting a bill of at most $10. I was charged $16.20. I was informed that one of my sports shirts required hand ironing....BS.....If one of my shirts required special attention, I should have been informed beforehand .... There isn't a lot you can say about a dry cleaners, they clean your clothes and have them finished on time. Their charges are in line with what other cleaners charge as well. In my mind what sets them apart from others are the owners. They are there working almost every day. They remember my name and greet me every time I come in. They also do repairs and alterations as well and are eco-friendly. If you have an item they don't think is worth the effort because of the type of stain or the repair wont look good they recommend you don't do it and save your money. I like frequenting local businesses who appreciate my business, are honest, and go out of their way to make sure I have a pleasant experience. They have all of these qualities in spades. read more

They did a good job cleaning a coat where other places wouldn't be able to take it. The reason I took off one star is because the owner originally quoted me $12 and the next day when I picked it up he said $15. It's not the problem with it being $3, the problem is that he did not stick with the quote that he said, he blamed it on a long day of work and did not correctly measure the length of the coat at first. If he told me it was an error, but he would stick with the previous price then that would've been great. read more

Not only were they RUDE when I checked my dress in, treating me like an inconvenience and pain in the ass simply for walking IN to the store, but they also LIED! When I asked for their Saturday hours, they said 8-5. And when I asked for a total, I was told $25. Not only did they close EARLY, but they charged more than quoted!! The event I had to wear the dress for was that Sunday! Not only did I have to find something else to wear AT THE LAST MINUTE, but I had to PAY MORE than quoted just to get my dress back!! When living in Tempe I ALWAYS took my things to Apollo. They have wonderful people working there and the cloths always come back wonderfully pressed and smelling wonderful. One of the reasons I took them there was because my cloths don't smell chemically and I can pull them out of the plastic weeks later and they are still fresh and pliable, not stiff and smelly. The prices are pretty much the same as other drycleaners (except for the 99cent ones) and I'm always pleased with the outcome. read more

I went there today to drop off a slip cover for an expensive Italian chair I bought from Copenhagen, and the owner would not wash it due to there being dog hair present on the item. I own a very short hair dog that does not shed very much but stated that any presence of dog hair he would not accept! Ummmmm, call me crazy but I brought it to you to clean and remove? If you want to pay top dollar for a shitty job on services come to Apollo where the employees makes customers feel crappy. First time users. There is a 5 dollar coupon but here is the catch, when you go to Apollo to pick up your clothes they raise the price 5 dollars to make it seem you got the deal but in reality it the same price as before without the coupon. She told me they would call and let me know. Weeks went by, they never called so I stopped by. They gave it back to me on a hanger and wanted $18. I came in on a Friday and she said your clothes will be ready on Monday , at first I said no I need them the next day please and she said that there is no way I ll get them to you and I was very calm and I asked why there is always different rules here and she said that she feels like im going to push her over and that I'm disrespecting her and that she ll do me a favor and get one shirt ready Monday morning and the rest after 3 pm , poor service in general . I had been using Apollo Cleaners for about a year now without incident, but most recently one of my shirts came back with two small holes in it and burn mark on the front. I didn't discover these issues until I was getting dressed for a meeting and pulled the shirt out of the dry cleaners polythene bag. I took the shirt back to Apollo's and was told the owner would call me, which he did. He told me the holes were from a moth or cricket, and that it was NOT POSSIBLE that they had burned the shirt. As for the moth/cricket - it is the only item of clothing in the garment bag that has holes (I checked them all). I remain unconvinced on that point, but it's possible I suppose.. As for the burn, it was definitely NOT there when I dropped the shirt off, and definitely NOT exposed to anything since I picked it up. It definitely came from Apollo Cleaners, but they would not own it. I understand that things can happen, but to let me pay for and send me off with a damaged shirt, bagged up, without saying anything is unconscionable IMO. If in fact the shirt was damaged when I dropped it off (it wasn't, I'm certain), they shouldn't have processed it, and let me know there was a problem. If they burned the shirt (they did, I'm certain), they should point it out to me when I pick it up. Instead, the owner's response was basically, "It's not me, it's you." Very, very disappointing.. and now I have to find another dry cleaners. read more

I've been using Apollo Cleaners for a while simply because I couldn't find anything close to my house that I liked. They do an okay job at cleaning my clothes, but nothing spectacular. I recently dropped off a few items, including a dress with snaps up the front. They returned the dress with one of the decorative snap covers attached, but the functional snap part on the back was missing. I took it back to them and asked for it to be fixed. They "sent it to their seamstress" and I was told that the seamstress did not have the machine to fasten snaps, so they cannot fix it. No offer of another solution or to pay for the dress to be fixed elsewhere. They have lost my business over this and I would not recommend them. read more
