A few years ago I had a medical situation that had me out of commission for several months and forgot I even had dry cleaning there. When I returned and picked up my clothes I noticed there was a small envelope attached to my clothes. When I got home and opened the envelope there was several hundred dollars that I had least in my jacket pocket. I had a small wool blanket cleaned for a very reasonable price! They beat the competing dry cleaner by at least 30% However when I brought in 4 curtain panels to be cleaned they turned me away as they did not do curtains. I didn't understand their policy and had to find another cleaner. I will continue to do business with them but will call first. read more

The owner constantly pushes workers far beyond their physical limits. The workers handle Immense hours ranging up to even 15 hours a day. I have been a customer here for several years without a problem. Their service was always fine for the price, especially compared to other dry cleaners in the area. The problem was I trusted them to clean 3 blankets of mine. One was faux fur and the other 2 were giant crochet ones all from Anthropology with care tags on them. When I took them home after being cleaned, I realized all of them were ruined. The crochet ones had shrunken to about half of their size and the fur one had bubbles, lines, and just a completely different texture than when I brought it in. When I brought them back to the dry cleaner, the girl at the front looked at the care tag, and then snapped at me saying obviously "wherever I took them didn't pay attention to the care tag", and I responded by saying I had taken them THERE. She then turned on me and said something snippy, I don't remember what. Luckily the owner was a few feet away and heard, and he came over. I said I was upset, that all 3 of these were irreplaceable since they were from 2 seasons ago and he took a look and said they would re-do the cleaning on them. No "I'm sorry", no empathy. I did say that I didn't appreciate the attitude of the employee, since I could not have been nicer, and even waited to bring them in on a Monday morning instead of the previous Friday thinking it wouldn't be as busy and I wouldn't embarrass them. The owner ignored my comment about the rude girl, and just brought the blankets back to be re-done. When I went to pick them up, I brought them home and nothing was fixed. I had hoped they would be able to re-stretch the yarn, but instead of them covering a whole couch for example, now it was half the size and the appeal was ruined. The thing that bothered me the most is the owner never followed up to see what I thought, and clearly the dry cleaners saw they were destroyed but instead of calling me to address it, they put them back on hangers and presented to me as "fixed". This was about $600 in blankets. They also came back with lint all over them, and you can see in the photos the vast difference in the fur where it "bubbles" in different areas. It is clearly ruined. (Oh but somehow I am just a "Karen" to point this out to the girl at the front desk who didn't appreciate having to address it...maybe she could use a customer service lesson). I chose this location due to proximity of my house. You pay in advance which is a little odd, but not a deal breaker. I received a text when my order was ready for pick up. Unfortunately several of my items I received back were VERY wrinkled (see pictures) not what I would expect after being freshly cleaned. I will probably use their services again due to proximity, but I don't know if trust their output for an important item. This review describes the negative customer service experience I received at Selville Cleaners at the Promenade in Scottsdale location. Here's a summary of the key issues: 1. Failure to meet promised pickup time: I was told my pants would be ready after 5 PM on Wednesday, but the pants weren't ready the customer arrived at 5:03 PM. 2. Counter worker gave me inconsistent explanations: first, claimed there was a stain or hole, then changed the excuse to the pants not pressed. 3. Poor communication: I wasn't notified of any issues with my garment. 4. Further delays: I was told to return at 6:00PM. I arrived at 5:56 PM, only to be made to wait again until 6:00p exactly. 5. Quality issues: When pants were finally returned to me, the pants smelled of cigarette smoke. No stain and/or hole. 6. Multiple location confusion: The pants were apparently sent to a different location from Scottsdale without clear communication to me. Prices are great, but you get what you pay for. I brought my $600 GAUGE81 brand dress here to be dry cleaned twice. Upon picking up the dress the second time, I noticed the dress was snagged in more than a couple places. The clerk said that it's from other garments in the machine snagging it. I asked to have the dress repaired. They agreed and kept it again and upon picking it up, the dress was still snagged in multiple areas. I spoke to the manager/ owner. He said it was probably something I sat on, otherwise he'd see it on the front. I pointed out places on the front. Then he said it was just the material of the dress, in other words, it's not his fault and boo hoo nothing they can do. Won't be coming back. read more

This review will have to be classified as "unusual". I took seven Sport Coats to Seville on Goldwater earlier this month. I picked them up a day later, put them in the closet and slowly used each coat as I needed them. This morning I'm putting on the last one and there is an envelope attached to the coat. I opened it and found a $20 dollar bill inside. I doubt they were tipping me, so I must have left it in one of my coats and it was found and returned. A nice touch and I appreciate the honesty. First time here. I called first to see how much it would be to clean a comforter and was told $25 by a lady. Not bad and only $5 more than other places were charging and it has great reviews so decided to give it a try. I guess they charge a little more if it is a down comforter as I found out when I dropped them off. It's $30. The guy that helped me was super nice. I really like that they are open on weekends and open until 7pm on weekdays. The guy told me the comforters would be ready on Monday. I come on Monday and was so surprised when she brings out the comforters in hangers. I was expecting the little bags they normally fold it in. I dunno why some places provide that and other places don't, but I was kinda sad that I paid more and didn't get the easy to carry and store bag. Of course I'm not super tall so as I lug it to the car, it touched the ground and I sorta trip on them and have trouble fitting them in my car. They're just heavy and awkward to lug around. I haven't used the comforters yet, but I'm sure it's clean. I like the location with plenty of parking and that they are open on weekends. I don't do much dry cleaning on clothes, but seemed reasonable at under $4 for each item. read more

I brought in a comforter and it wasn't cleaned the first time properly, to be fair there was 24hr makeup stained on it and I attest that the makeup did live true to its' claim, but the owner redid the comforter for free. If you want to patronize a small local business, Seville Cleaners is the one for you. There was an incident with brand new drapes two weeks ago. It happens. But what stood out was the owner/manager's exemplary customer service. He accepted responsibility for the damage and volunteered to reimburse me for the drapes. I didn't have to make a case or negotiate. He simply said that he would pay me for the drapes and he did. I moved back to the area about a year ago but really haven't needed dry cleaning because of the pandemic. But in years past, when I visited clients and had a social life, I used Seville Cleaners often. The price is extraordinary and the quality of service is too. I'll continue to be a customer and hopefully have a greater need for dry cleaning once come out on the other side of the pandemic. read more

You can drop off and pick up with a phone number, which is great if you lose your slip. Tips: Don't go 4:30-5:30pm on weekdays - there's always a line out the door. It goes fast but still! I save a ton of money on dry cleaning... not only because I go to Seville, but because I work in a more casual environment than I did five years ago and hence have less business attire that needs to be dry cleaned each week. But regardless of how often I have dry cleaning or how big my "pile" gets, I can count on Seville being consistent! They are quick (same day service if you drop off before 9am), reliable (they've never lost an item of mine), friendly, and don't seem to mind too much when I misplace my ticket. (They do make you sign for it when you do so though). Their prices have gone up a bit through the years -- they are now charging $2.50 per item -- but this is still much cheaper than some of the other dry cleaners in town. One thing to note is that you prepay for everything when you drop it off. I'm not a huge fan of this always on my way in, but it makes pick-ups quicker on the way out. The folks at Seville say that they "will take care of your clothes and save you money," and in my opinion they deliver on both counts. Thanks Seville! read more

To me, all dry cleaners are alike. There's nothing fancy about laundering my shirts and dry cleaning suit pants. What makes Seville top notch is their hours, price and efficiency. I was turned away at 5:59pm from my nearby neighborhood dry cleaners and had to look elsewhere. C'mon, some people have to work till 5 and drive a 1 hour commute!
