Picked up the phone yesterday to give Apollo a go, super easy to schedule and they were able to get someone out today. Jason was fantastic was able to get to the issue (a 2 year old broken frost free hose bib installed by a cheap, bad plumber that didn't do it right) fast and give me a upfront estimate of the work. Gave him the ok and he knocked it out of the park on the install. Had to open a pocket of drywall and Jason did it with minimal damage to the wall as possible, installed the hose bib replacement, checked all my faucets and even pressure tested my water. Excellent work and was fun to chat with in the mean time. If you're looking for cheap work and hack installs this isn't the company for you. If you're looking for quality work, great service, and a great job at a fair price look no further then Apollo plumbing. I will use this company for any other jobs that may come up and definitely recommend to my neighbors and anyone that needs a fantastic plumbing company! read more

Called to schedule a plumber to come out and replace cartridge on 2 showers, the 2 stars are for scheduling and promptness, brand name of fixtures was Moen. tech checked shower head and confirmed cartridges needed replacement. Tech went to his van to call for advice, came back 1/2 hour later and said they cannot find parts and to try Moen. Stated they could update shower fixtures and would need to go thru drywall and I would need to remove fireplace in master for access to replace all fixtures and could run around 11,000 . Told Tech to send a bid, tech called back later and suggested I remodel bathroom would save more by doing this, I asked him to send bid anyway. Got ahold of Moen and they are sending parts free of charge. Have not received any bid, cost $109 for not much advice, I will try Aurora plumbing once I have parts, and I think I will have this fixed for under $500 (I hope) read more

Mark, Geoff, and Tyler were fantastic. They arrived on schedule, made solid recommendations, and were willing to adjust their schedules when I asked (mid-job) to expand the scope of work. I was orginally going to do a partial water line replacement since several contractors were unable/unwilling to do the more risky full line replacement, but Appollo Plumbing found an ingenious (and less risky) way to replace the entire line. I was so impressed that I also asked them to replace my 12 year old electric water heater with a new heat pump water heater. They did a great job and were very friendly and professional. I would not recommend this company! ! I had a plugged toilet (toilet paper) it had flooded and was quite the mess. I had called a plumber but they could get there for several days. I needed this fix ASAP so I called Apollo Plumbing I should have done my homework I would NEVER! have hired them. They did come out quickly When the service guy got here he told me it would be $207.00 to Ugger it so he had me sign a contract to do the job I did After 10 or 15 mins he said that he it was not working. So he said he would give me a bid to remove the toilet service it and replace or to install a new toilet. The bid to replace and reinstall was $935. Approximate for new toilet $1092. Of course $157 diffence I went with new. More contracts. He did tell me they would take $200. Off if i wanted to go and buy one and they would install I did not have the time so I went with theirs. Mind you this is the first time I've had to hire a plumber and was told they are expensive. I was SHOCKED at these prices but i already had him here so I ended up with a new toilet .after all said and done when he gave me a receipt I asked for itemized receipt and was told they do a flat rate I did not know this. After he left I did some math and for less then 2 hours of work I paid around $561 dollars in labor!!!! i was very upset I am retired and on a budget. I called several plumbers to check their prices this job should have at the most cost $250.00 to unplug a toilet. I DID NOT NEED A NEW TOILET!! We called this company, they gave us a bid of $2400 which seemed high - but we needed our plumbing repaired. After the project was complete the bill was close to $4000. We calculated that labor alone was approximately $350 to $400 per hour. When I asked for a detailed invoice I was told, "I don't like paper work". I never received the detailed invoice. I would not use this company again and do not recommend them for anyone else. We feel like we were totally taken advantage of. read more

This is Price Gouging at its Finest!! I had this company out for a simple backed up water line in my kitchen sink. This was not an emergency call which they boast they don't charge for anyway?? No, they just treat it like one and factor it into your total. After 20 min, the tech stepped out to write up his estimate for $744.10?? What, are you kidding me??? I was actually embarrassed for the poor tech having to even present this. I had heard their cute commercials on a favorite radio station and was looking for a plumber with good reviews that I could use on a steady basis. Lesson learned, save your money and don't use this company!! It cost me a $99 to get rid of them but the good news is I saved over $500 by using another company that did the job the same day under an hour for a total of $218. read more

He went the extra mile and gave us some good tips on how to keep the drains clean. Basically - he did what he said he would do and made sure we were satisfied before the end of the call. I manage multiple properties in the Lake Stevens area. Recently I had major plumbing issues. I contacted multiple different plumbing companies in the area, to have them qoute the repairs for my buildings. The other companies were reluctant, flakey or were not available within a reasonable time frame. I called Apollo Plumbing once in the evening, they sent someone out the very next morning and I had a qoute within 24 hours after placing the initial call. I had several issues around my house that had been waiting up to a couple of years to get fixed. So I looked on yelp and checked out the reviews about Apollo Plumbing and their competitors. I called Apollo up and the lady on the phone was super helpful and nice. She even offered me a coupon that waived the call out fee so I could get a free estimate. The plumber, Matthew Gardner, who came out was the model of polite professionalism. He was very helpful in diagnosing my leaking sink issue and even though it wasn't a plumbing problem he called one of his professional contacts to try and find me a contractor to remount my sink. The lead didn't pan out but he put forth the effort and it really impressed me. I also had Matthew look at a leaking washing machine which turned out to be an appliance problem. I could tell he was sure it wasn't a plumbing issue to begin with but he was more than happy to hop back there and check the pipes to put my mind at ease. He fixed my outdoor taps very quickly and gave me several tips to maintain the new installation. He even offered to answer any questions and invited me to watch his repair while he worked. He was very thorough in his answers and taught me about the differences between certain plumbing hardware brands for the job he was working on. Fantastic customer service! read more

We had to put in a backwater prevention device per the city of Everett, and boy did I dread the inconvenience of having workmen traipsing through my basement and digging in my yard. Also, I'd dealt with my share of contractors, and looked forward to that like I look forward to talking to Comcast about why my cable isn't working. So after I worked myself up to it I called Apollo, one if the half-dozen or so contractors on the list that the city gave me. From that point on it couldn't have been easier. Patrick was the guy in charge, and he always showed up on time, was ready to go to work, and clearly had his head in the game. His guys were friendly; no one was smoking, goofing off, or coming upstairs to snoop around. They probably could have done the whole job (which included tearing up concrete in my basement to install the device since the sewer pipe in the yard was 6 feet down) if I had been available for two whole days. However, since I wasn't, they worked around my schedule. Their work passed the city inspection, looks great, and functions fine as far as I can tell. If I ever need a plumber I'll call these guys again. read more

We had a leaking toilet in our Everett office for months that we could not fix. After several attempts to fix the toilet we finally asked Dan at Apollo Plumbing to take a look at it. Dan was very polite and helpful and had the toilet fixed in 5 minutes. No more issues finally. It's hard to find a plumber that is honest, polite, and fairly priced. Dan at Apollo ended up taking care of our problem with minimal charges. His customer service was really great too. He made it a point to follow up with us later to make sure our problem was really fixed. What I like about Apollo is that they aren't just your typical one-man-show operation. They actually have a really great local presence here in the local Snohomish county area. I know Dan makes it a point to be really involved with the Marysville YMCA. I guess you could say Apollo Plumbing is really a family friendly local plumbing service that we'll continue to use for any future issues. read more

I hired Apollo to upgrade my old malfunctioning toilets to modern, water efficient toilets, as well as to help clean out a drain pipe outside the house. They arrived on time, and were able to work with minimal disruption. When they were done, they cleaned up their mess and left the space as clean as they found it. Their drain cleaning machine for the outside drain was powerful and has resolved the issues I was having before. Overall, I'm very pleased with the work they completed... the new toilets they suggested work much better than the old water hogs they replaced... and the installation was done with the utmost in professionalism. Not recommending them at all...we had a problem leak somewhere in the bathroom this guys came in ddnt even find the problem instead caulking our toilet we got charge $250. So my husband called our handyman found the problem told us to call plumber so we did we called them again show him the problem instead telling us needs to tear apart our bath tub which is newly remodeled our bathroom! Oh boy gave my husband a bad anxiety attack ...anyway he ddnt fix the problem again & charge us again I'm not sure how much I think $150. I had requested an estimate for some water drainage from the excavation department. I waited 3 weeks for someone to come out to do the estimate (the person got sick so my original appt was pushed out). The estimator came out and looked at it. I had to message them to find out when I would get the estimate - they said I would receive it that night. THAT WAS NOW A MONTH AGO. I have called multiple times, emailed. The response is always an excuse - oh, we will look into that, etc. Apparently it was never sent. If it takes this long to get an estimate, imagine how much follow up you would have to do on the actual job. read more

I used them in past and good experience and thought price was fair for 2 people for 2 hours of job, I called them again for another job. The plumber gave a fixed price bid and said it would be completed in 2 hours. I agreed. The work took one hour to complete for 1 guy and paid 1100$, parts would not cost more then 200$, also he didn't add insulation for the water pipe and said not required, previous pipe had insulation. It's just rip off to charge 800$ labor for 1 person for 1 hour. I will not use them again and please don't go with this type of fixed price policy read more

We had our kitchen sink that was clogged. The plumber showed up took a look and snaked it once and then said, "He couldn't help me (A senior) because he didn't have the proper equipment and that I should call Roto-Rooter. He then left.We did just that, and Roto-Rooter was out in 30 minutes after he left. The problem was then fixed. He used the same equipment that the Apollo Plumbing person had. It was as though he could not get out of our home fast enough. In fairness to the company, he said there is No charge. read more

They come off really nice and professional at first... then they rake you over the coals. they charge 3 to 4 times what others are charging. do yourself a favor and call someone else. I paid nearly 2K to these guys to have the same problem less than 2 weeks later... when I called them, they scheduled to come back right away... then 10 minutes later, they call and say I'll have to pay them again. I obviously cancelled right then and there. I consulted another plumber on a recommendation from a neighbor. he described them as con-artists. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company for plumbing needs. They charged us over $1000 to install a faucet in our kitchen after we got new countertops. It was nearly impossible to get someone to show up and once they did they didn't have the correct parts. They said they would come back later that day with the parts. They never returned and then days later sent someone new (the previous guy had quit his job in the meantime). This guy was a real smooth talker and then installed our faucet incorrectly and the whole thing came loose a week later. He installed it without the nut underneath to hold the faucet in place. It has been a nightmare trying to get someone on the phone to fix the issue so we have given up and are trying to fix it ourselves. The second guy who came also was brutally honest about how bad of a company Apollo is and how many employees have quit and how the management is not handling things well with a turnover in leadership. They came out promptly and gave me an estimate for a new main water line running from my water meter to my garage, a distance of approx 60 feet. The estimate included running the line underground and under our driveway and would have included a new shut off valve. I decided not to go with this company because their bid was $1,500 more than another company that bid the exact same work, supplies and warranty. I can appreciate the professionals that they have on board and how quick they estimated they could have done the job, but I couldn't help but feel like they were over charging. I have to say this was the single most deceitful business I have ever experienced. A simple garage hose bib repar due to last winter's freeze. $1200+ estimate seemed a bit high but wasn't going to waste my $100 estimate fee so I ok'd the repair. As they were finishing up, I connected my outdoor hose reel and waiting for them to give me the go ahead to test. I turn it on and immediately discovered that there was another leak up the line. They repaired the line and it added $150 extra to the cost so, oh well I guess. After the 2nd test it appeared to be fine, however listening with ear to dry wall they said it sounds like there could be another leak and packed up their stuff and left as it was past 5pm and they didn't appear to want to keep working. Just said it appears to be holding. So overnight the leak become noticeable with puddles of water on the garage and soaked drywall. I called the dispatch number explaining they would need to follow up on what they anticipated would be another leak. And that the service call $100 should not apply and the lady on the other agreed. Once they got back here and gave me estimate for the fix of the leak which was identifical to first leak the fixed for only $150, this leak was going to cost over $600. I refused and asked why the same exact repair would be $450 more and couldn't really get an acceptable answer, I declined the cost of repair. Then I was handed the $100 service call fee that I was told was going to be waived because they had just been out the day before and pretty knew what the problem was already. I blasted into Mr. Zac H with some choice and colorful words after which he responded with the "best I can do according to manager is $495." So apparently they change their pricing on a day to day basis, 2 identical repairs to the same line $150 one day and $495 the next. And those leak repairs took less than 25 minutes each, so when they came back and tried to shove an over $600 repair up my @$$, which i negotiated to $495, it look 20-25 minutes to fix so that indicates to me a relatively quick, and less than expensive fix. So close to $2000 later and my house in their rear view mirror I can safely say this is the most blatantly crooked business I have ever encountered. read more

The problem with our downstairs sink ended up being an easy fix that we could actually fix our self. He offered to fix it, but told us honestly it would be easy and cheaper to just replace the fixture ourselves. I appreciate his honesty and I asked if I could pay him for his time. Apollo Plumbing is so freakin awesome. On top on seeing me within two hours of my phone call they sent me their superstars, Quinn. All the other reviews are correct when about Quinn. The guy is very smart and professional. Background on why I called: our home that's less than 2 years old had a mystery leak coming from a sink in the master bathroom. The builder's handyman tried to figure out what was wrong and dismissed it as a problem with the facet and not they work which made the responsibility on us. I called Apollo Plumbing because I heard their ad on Komo news radio and I'm glad I did. Since the source of the leak wasn't obvious, Quinn played around with searched until he found the source. Now I know what the problem was and solution was an easy fix...now to get the builder to reimburse me for service of Apollo Plumbing and repair the water damaged vanity. read more

I believe they try to scam you by making you pay $50 for an estimate, then bidding so high that you would have to be uninformed or just plain lazy to accept the bid. They win both ways, if you say no they got your $50 simply for driving to your house. If you say yes they get to really stick it to you. I had an issue at the house that I am renting. the tailpiece (the first pipe section coming down from your sink) was missing a washer so the slip nut that is supposed to attach it to the next section of pipe was not creating a seal and therefore the tailpiece was just loosely sitting in the next section of pipe. This is not a problem unless you have a clog, in which case it will overflow and flood the cabinet under your sink. The plumber came out and said that he would have to run a pipe snake to clear debris from the p trap, he would have to replace the tailpiece and it would cost over $400. Now, I can fix this myself in about 10 minutes including the installation of a new tail piece. New tailpiece, a new washer, plug the other sink, use a plunger on the other side and voila! Ptrap is cleared. I didn't to this because we just moved in and my tools are packed up somewhere in the garage. That and fact that I am renting and have other things I would like to do with my time. I decided I will just find my tools and charge the landlord $75 for my time. Plumbers are professionals and they deserve to make a good living as some of the thing they have to deal with are pretty disgusting, but this is just plain dishonest. Update: My landlord said that the estimate was closer to $500. I bought a new Tailpiece and plastic compression washer for under $4 at Home depot. It took me less than 5 minutes to install. Everything works great and there are no leaks. I charged Her $75 (and almost felt guilty about it) for my time. Apollo wanted $100 per minute, wow, that is an expensive plumber even if their work is "guaranteed". read more

They did a quote for a master bath remodel and seemed professional. We chose them to do the plumbing work, had everything ready for them to come in and take care of it. 1st appointment we were told they had emergencies and couldn't make it, rescheduled for the next day. They didn't show up, called and said they couldn't make it, rescheduled for 2 days later. Person showed up 4 hours late, said he got off of work in 1/2 hour not able to do it, rescheduled for 9 am a week later, didn't show up called said they would be here at 11 am, didn't show up until 2:30 and then says he can't do it. We bought a new dishwasher and it was to be installed last Saturday. The installation guys were unable to install it because the shut off under the sink wouldn't shut all the way off and needed replaced (angle stop). Hubby called Apollo to set up an appointment. He was told it was $50 to come out, but if he had any work done that $50 would roll into the cost of the job. He set the appointment for Tuesday around 1pm. About 5 minutes before the appointment time, he got a call that they couldn't be there after all but could come the next day around 3. No biggie, that still worked. So yesterday, the plumber arrives, nice guy. But right away he starts to find costly things that he feels should get fixed/replaced. For example, he offered to replace our sink faucet at the tune of around $500. Tells my husband that the job he was there for was going to be $75 on top of the $50 estimate. My husband informed him that the lady who made the appointment said it would roll into the cost of the job. So they agreed on $75 total for the job. The water had to be shut off from the main house shut off, so that was done. The job took about 15 minutes tops. So far ok.... Then plumber goes to turn the water back on. He turns on the hose on the outside of the garage to make sure the water is running. Well lo-and-behold, now the "bib" that the hose is hooked to won't turn off. Plumber tinkers with it, then says it isn't fixable and he'd have to replace it. But it was not going to be cheap. (By the way, this had happened earlier this summer and I was able to shut the water at the bib off by tightening the screw....so....yah....) Plumber takes way less time to replace the bib that he did for the job he was initially there for - then he charges $325 for it!!!! My husband called him out on it and told him it was obvious he'd been out to scam us for more money right from the start. The guy just shrugs and says that's the cost. Nothing he can do about it. Total bill ends up being $436.80 instead of $75. After dinner I go to start up the dishwasher....no water..... Call hubby upstairs. He turns the handle to turn the water on for the dishwasher, and water goes spraying everywhere! The plumber didn't even hook the hose back up to the dishwasher!!!!!!! So we have to do that - should we charge $75 for it, or how about $325? Top that off with he didn't even replace the cover on the water shut off outside. I had to do it this morning. It was obvious this guy wasn't going to leave with only a $75 job, he succeeded. read more

When guy arrived he was confused by what the water district told him they had already done (run a camera from road in 85 feet and there was no blockage). Bottom line I said I need to know cost of work before you just start adding up and he said $895. I passed because he gave no reasoning, just a fee and didn't seem knowledgable. It is now 3 days later, and it appears the leak has been fixed and no longer an issue. The original quote was fair and reasonable, but then the company even honored a coupon I had that basically reduced the bill by about 20%. Worst experience in 35 years of being a home owner! So, where do I start. I had a water leak in my main line that was diagnosed as a clamp problem at the point where my meter and water line met. The fix was going to be a couple $1,000 dollars and a day job. Apollo got in and told me that the water line was deeper than originally thought and that it would be well over the estimate. The best fix, they said, was to put in a whole new line because there was no way to get to the clamp fix without cutting into my neighbors concrete driveway and shrubs. Ok, bad news, but that happens and the job then turned into a $9,500 job. My expectations were that Apollo would get the needed city permits, replace the concrete that was disrupted during the intervention (to the pre-intervention level) and repair any damage they created to adjacent pipes and irrigation systems. Reasonable expectations? Right? First, they did not get a permit before the work started, but only when the city of Edmonds notified me (in more hostile words) that work was done without proper due dilagence and permitting. Apollo did get back to the city and retractively applied for the permits and re-exposed the meter and new line for city inspection. Now, why didn't they get a permit in the first place before starting the job? Secondly, the job was done in the Fall and in the process of doing the work, Apollo broke the valves (Apollo determined it was them and it was done during the repair) to our irrigation system. We did not discover this until our landscaper discovered it this Spring during a routine maintenance on our irrigation system. Our landscaper then also discovered that the irrigation valves were not only broken but the irrigation system was not re-connected. After much discusion, Apollo came out and repaired the valve, but did not re-connect the pipes to the irrigation system. So, I am paying an extra $1,200 to my landscaper to essentially bring the system back up to the point where it was prior to my hiring of Apollo. Two ways Apollo did not meet expectations here; First, once the valves were broken (which they did admit was their doing), why didn't they tell us right away? Second, all I ask from any contractor I hire is to return what they damaged to pre-intervention levels. My irrigation system was functioning to a standard level before we hired Apollo and, after they broke it, they would not bring it back to that same level. Finally, the worst of all the sloppy jobs Apollo did was the one done on my concrete driveway and garage. I will try to attach pictures so people can see what was left of my concrete in the garage and in the driveway. My expectations were that any contractor just return my adjacent property to the same level as it was before they intervened. Reasonable right? Not to Apollo, I will need to pay a concrete person $$$$ to repair the damage done by Apollo. And, Apollo just tells me "We are not concrete people just plumbers". And, the sales person from Apollo tells me, "I am just the sales person not the contractor." Well, so much for taking any ownership of the job from Apollo. I am embarassed for hiring Apollo as I feel like a fool for doing so. Especially since so many of our guests/friends, of who are builders in this region, see the job. It's usually the social gathering joke but it's not funny to us. read more
