Avoid, avoid, avoid. Deceptive, Completely scam. I would give negative stars if I can The plumbing and restoration are two different companies. Restoration: I requested an initial quote which is supposedly free. The tech came and told me I needed to sign a work form to determine the next steps, and did a complimentary treatment. They also pushed me to open an insurance claim. I did not give go-ahead to perform anything, but I got hit with a $900 bill. There is no transparency at all about the work and the payment. NOWHERE in the process were I told - we will charge you for X we are doing. I got repeatedly told insurance would cover my claim - which didn't happen. Plumbing: came separately and wanted to do another inspection, opened up the drywall for $375 and quoted a fix for $1350. I later found out the issue they identified was completely wrong. They didn't need to open up the drywall, and the $1350 fix was not needed as well. I paid another plumber and he found that I just needed to turn my shower arm a few more turns to stop the leak. read more

I've dealt with a variety of contractors lately each one was more disappointing than the one before. Then I got a bid from Ally plumbing that was very reasonable and straight forward. A couple of days before they were scheduled to start a gentleman came by and looked and tweaked the bid, ensured materials were available and answered all my questions and offered alternatives on how to do the job. This made me think these guys were different. On D-Day they came on time, were organized, had what they needed. They cleaned up their mess at the end of the day, the employees were focused on the job & not their phones, they treated my home like it was theirs (no they didn't sit on my couch with their bootless feet on the ottoman), their work was spot on and looked great. I had a great experience with Ally Plumbing and their technician Donny. My tankless water heater which they installed 8 yrs ago was not performing well for either hot water or radiant heating. Donny was extremely thorough in identifying the issue and diagnosed that the unit I had was not the right size for my home. In addition the piping was inefficient and not up to code. They offered to refund the prior install, designed a sleek solution with a new combi boiler and somehow managed to make everything fit perfectly into the very small mechanical room in my home. This was a complicated install made even more challenging by the small space, but Donny's workmanship and problem-solving was excellent. They were able to accommodate my schedule, finished on time and were collaborative with me throughout the process and helped me land on a solution and price that I was satisfied with. My home has never been this comfortably heated in the winter before while not compromising on hot water in the bathroom and kitchen. My wife and I were dumb dumbs and put pine wood cat litter down our toilet. It stopped up and, because the blockage was after the point where the shower, sink, and toilet pipes joined to go to the main sewer, I couldn't get enough pressure with a plunger to free it up. Zach, our technician, had pull the toilet, put a camera down the sewer line and put in a tremendous amount of upper body work to clear the blockage (which seemed to close in on itself when he pierced through it. It looked like quick sand). He then reset the toilet with a new wax seal. We liked Zach. He was personable, professional, and gives you the impression that he genuinely wants to get the problem fixed rather than mindlessly completing another call. I had an average experience with Ally and would not recommend them due to a lack of price transparency, which I find unprofessional. Before the visit, I was told the technician would provide a free on‑site estimate. However, upon arrival, the technician informed me that the person I spoke with was mistaken and that there was actually a $200 inspection fee because he needed to run several tests. He added that the fee would be applied toward the final cost if I proceeded with the repair and even offered to complete the work the same day. Although I felt the fee was excessive, I agreed since I had already waited for the appointment and needed my garbage disposal fixed. The so‑called "tests" took less than five minutes, he simply unplugged the disposal and pressed the reset button, something I had already tried myself. After this brief assessment, he told me I needed a replacement unit and presented me with an extremely high quote. At that point, I declined further services. Prompt, make sure all Communication was documented as couple of things from estimation was missed and had to get them to come in again to fix it. We were out of hot water for couple of days. They were kind to give a discount. The technicians went all out to make sure second day they came in to check all the outlets had hot water and even adjusted the settings after swapping the mixing value to a new one. For payment miscommunication from the office, I got charged because the cheque was not accepted when I had initially had offered to pay through zelle. But the lady insisted on cheque.. finally settled it with a additional payment of $35 through zelle (there are no limits for zelle transfer which I was told initially). The front office seemed a mess and you have make sure everyone is on the same page. double check the contract and validate everything in is accurate. read more

Overall I was very satisfied with Ally's service from the initial communication, estimate, and the actual work. Our water heater suddenly stopped working on Nov 26, Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. I asked multiple contractors for a quote through Yelp, and Ally was one of them. They responded on the same day and offered an on-site estimate on Friday. I was impressed by their quick and clear communication. The estimate visit was also impressive. Our assigned technician Paul gave us clear explanation and answered all of my questions. And he kindly suggested to install an optional valve on the hot water pipe which I didn't have. It really made sense to me and Paul was the only technician who pointed that out. We schedule installation on Tuesday morning, and he showed up on time. We have a shoes-off policy, and he kindly respected that on both visit. During replacement, there were a couple of minor issues. One of them was a clearance problem between a new tank's strap and a closet door. We found it out after installation was done. To solve it, he drained water again, rotated a tank a little bit, and performed post-installation checks again. That was very kind. He simply explained a couple of new features of the tank. After everything is done, needless to day, we got back hot water! No problem at all so far. The price wasn't the cheapest among contractor we asked for a quote, but it was fair. They offered a small new-customer discount, which was nice. So again, our overall experience was great. No complaint at all. I definitely recommend Ally and will ask them again. read more

Writing this review to warn others about Ally's rushed and incompetent work. I called Ally Plumbing for a drainage problem in my crawl space on January 8th, 2025. After consultation and estimate we moved forward with the work right away. A week after Ally completed the drainage/pump work I noticed water build up in the crawl where they worked. After investigating, I found they took several shortcuts which made their installed sump pump fail and my crawl space flood. I made attempts to contact them and since the flooding was getting worse I contacted two other companies to take a look. Both companies that came out gave the exact same findings regarding Ally's work. The findings include the following: -No gravel or fabric used around corrugated piping -- this caused clogging that prevented water flow into the piping -The sump pump was installed shallow, not deep enough to capture the water -The pipe into the erosion pit was placed near the top of the pit, this doesn't address water flowing into the pit until it has reached a high level. -Drain pipes cut too short -The pump should have larger holes for the corrugated piping to dump into, instead there are only small holes in the side of the sump pump that have already clogged with clay. -Pump is clogged and no longer working -(Unrelated to flooding problem) The discharge system of the sump pump is illegal, which was never mentioned to me, and puts me at risk of fine from King County. read more

Not Recommended. THEY WASTED MY 3 DAYS! After first triage visit by their technician I scheduled appointments 3 times!! First time towards the end of the appointment window they called me saying technician got busy. Second time they said equipment is not working. Third time I got a text saying a technician was on the way and 90 minutes passed but he was nowhere to be found. I called their contact number - They did not offer any explanation or showed no interest in acknowledging the situation. I decided to cancel my 3rd appointment. I am thoroughly disappointed in Ally Plumbing & Restoration. I rearranged my calendar 3 times to accommodate the appointments. I highly recommend Crimson from Ally. He is a young man but still very experienced and his professionalism and craftsmanship have helped me saving thousands of dollars so far. Back in June I had a leaking outdoor faucet which I use to hook up the timer for my sprinkler. Needed to leave very soon for an overseas trip I have to fix it. Otherwise, I would have seen either a soaked deck floor or a die out grass lawn after a month long trip. Crimson came and mentioned it could be a more complex fix because the faucet connected into a pipe inside the dry wall but he can try the repair first with a lower cost. Then he made it. In 10 minutes he fixed it , tested water pressure, and saved me 500 additional bucks (not including the dry wall fix). In July, I wanted to replace my washer but the delivery guy refused to install due to rusted and leaking laundry faucets. Crimson came again and provided accurate quotes but it could be as high as 1.8K if the laundry outlet box needed to be replaced. With a discount offered from Ally, I eventually agreed to have the job done. Crimson came with a special tool equipped and successfully replaced faucets without damaging the wall again. That saved me 1K+ dollars so I am quite happy about the service provided by Crimson. read more
