I will only leave them in the care of a two individuals. 1. My daughters and 2. Longwood Vet. My pups are all bully breeds and in most cases they are treated as dangerous. I've never experienced this when taking them to the vet. The staff will get on the floor to be on the dog's level. They cater to the personally of each pet. I have been a client at Longwood for 10+ years. They cared for my Cleo until she crossed the rainbow. They are currently caring for my 3 babies and I know they are receive the BEST care! I was immediately seated in an exam room. I was not a fan that I couldn't be with my rabbit during his exam with the doctor. However as my appointment went on I became very impressed with this clinic. Doctor Baker was understanding, patient, and very knowledgeable about rabbits. She explained the health concerns and her plan for care. I felt like she was very compassionate and really cared about helping Pepper. It's never fun to see a vet bill, but thankfully the pricing seemed reasonable. I wish that blood work however was offered at a more affordable price point. I was there for almost 2 1/2 hours while they helped my rabbit. It was a very positive experience and Pepper seems to be improving. I am thankful I found this animal hospital when I did.

We've always had good experiences with the staff and with both vets and vet techs. They've always been very helpful and willing to answer all of our questions and address any concerns as well as provide suggestions upon request. They've also been very helpful any times that we've called up with questions (which was helpful in avoiding to have to come in for a visit) I appreciate that we have to option to check in at the front desk and then wait in the car until the exam room is ready for us, rather than wait in the small waiting area with other pets and pet owners. Honestly, the only reservations that we've ever had is that some visits have been a bit more expensive than expected, particularly when we've had to come in for vaccinations every 3 weeks for the puppy and have to pay the exam fee each time. That being said, they did at least turn each of those visits into opportunities to answer questions and make sure everything has been going well-- but I would like the option to just bring him in for his shots and then head home without paying that extra fee each time. But even this won't be an issue once he's had all his shots.

With the new Florida law requiring a monthly physical prescription, getting medications through services like Chewy now means mailing paperwork every single month--an obvious inconvenience for pet owners. This clinic is fully aware of how difficult and time-consuming this process has become and appears to be taking advantage of it by dramatically inflating prices. This feels less like caring for animals and more like exploiting owners who are stuck with fewer options. Completely unethical behavior. I will no longer be bringing my two dogs here and strongly advise others to shop around before overpaying at this clinic.

The vet at Lake Mary was so calm and took a few minutes to talk with us before he even touched our Yorkie and then did so gently matter-of-factly (is that a word? lol). We were stunned that she didn't go psycho! He didn't try to "enhance the bill" by doing anything unnecessary and put us at ease that although she's a senior dog, she's doing ok. This is a CLINIC and at that like a "Puppy Mill", it is like a "Vet Mill" ( IE.: they have contract w/ county shelter) To be brief over $500 later ,young vets unsure from the get go of my dog's diagnosis, prescribing him wrong meds thinking Oh well, maybe its...a UTI, bickering w/ each other in front of me , one vet putting down the even less experienced one, she barked "it's constipation!!" after prodding his rectum repeatedly. This is over a course of almost 3 wks. Then they wanted to "rent"! equipmt & a tech to do an ultrasound (=$350). We were DONE. Went to kind unassuming Vet Dr. McCabee(Hospital) in W. Park & he within just 60seconds of examining our dear dog, said I am so sorry, I am quite positive its a prostate cancer tumor. I'll do the ultrasound if you wish & it was $150. We were finally able to know what was going on and he lived ok for another 4mos. till almost 13. That last night we had no idea it was coming he was yelping ,a vomiting turn.... McCabee was on vacation, other vet couldn;t do it until 3 days later--end up w/ LMVClinic in desperation, thinking how could they mess this up--well SHE did- She did not give our dog enough meds She said she wasn't sure how much to give a 12lb dog!!! & we were already so distressed we didn't know how to react & she said well if its not enough I'll go make another shot. (WTH?) Sure enough it was NOT-essentially watched out dog's eyes pleading in our arms: "What is happening to me???" It was a slow and painful death as she left the rm to make another shot. Likedned to an electrocution? How do you mess up the shot for a 12lb dog? She was cocky & souless and has left the state of Fl. The vets there do not last long and its all about nickle & diming and no accountability.

UPDATE 2: our old vet, Dr. Basso, who used to work here, is now at Maitland Animal Hospital, go there! MUCH better staff and, most importantly, our dog is fine and happy again! ORIGINAL: Been going her for years, but today was traumatic. Some random Vet I had never seen before came in, he never gave us his name and didn't make any effort to familiarize himself with our dog. He skipped a thorough exam on our dog (barely checked his vitals, just touched his neck a bit and sort of pushed him around) and told us, after reviewing his most recent bloodwork in front of us, but not his history, that he would probably put him down if it was his dog. I went to the front desk to ask for an appointment with our normal vet, and the rude girl at the counter said our vet left and she couldn't tell me where she went. This place used to be good but they have driven off or replaced everyone who made it great. They don't care about your pets, staff is rude, and they cycle through too many vets for you to trust your pets to them.
