I use to go to the teriyaki place in this location and it was OK. But a new family bought this place a couple of months ago and I have to say it was a great upgrade. The fish was fresh and presntation was wonderful. It good to see is a family run restaurant. The daughter is serving and parents making the food. They are really friendly. I hope they do really well here. I was worried that some of the reviews on here were bad but it from the old Teriyaki restaurant. I wanted to give them a good current review. Any review before November of 2025 is for the old restaurant and old owners. Will be back. read more

First time eat here. Really love that they have a lunch special menu from 11-3p. Food was really good & staff were super nice. We didn't expected to have a little sampler before our food came out so it was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the kimbap so I hope it ends up going on the menu. Sushi was good. Boyfriend enjoyed his bento. And also was surprised with oranges for after our meal. All and all it was really good and would love to come back to try other items on the menu! read more

(Updating my 2* review) NEW OWNERS! The server (owner) was extremely sweet and attentive! They definitely gave this place the face lift it needed. It's much more sushi oriented now, but still has tons of menu options of all sorts. I'm slightly curious if the owner recognized me from my old review lol because she refilled my miso for free and gave me a discount coupon for next time! I got the 3 choice bento box and I will say it is worth the money. The music had some great unexpected bangers while I was there as well. I will surely be returning here to try more menu options since I'm in the area so often. She also put the rest of my sprite in a to go cup and refilled it. It really was my opinion of 5 star worthy meal, thank you guys! read more

This place is pretty cool. We arrived shortly before closing and the staff is extremely friendly. The sushi is really fresh and flavorful. The prices are also comparable to restaurants in the area. I ordered the bulgogi plate and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I really loved the spicy fried rice with the house made white sauce, trust me you want to add the white sauce. Came here for Valentine's Day and the food was delicious! I ordered the rainbow roll and pork fried rice, the fish was super fresh and the rice was well cooked and yummy. My boyfriend got the combo A and also liked his food. They gave us heart macaroons after for dessert and me a rose which was so sweet. I really like giving small, mom & pop places a chance because you can find some real gems that way. I imagine this place has some dishes that are good. The gyoza was not bad, not wonderful. The shrimp "tempura" was not. It was simply thin, fried shrimp. It was pretty good in that it was hot and crispy. I'm a stickler for crispy but this was not tempura! Very disappointed and pissed because it's basically false advertising. I'm guessing years ago is actually was tempura, but it's not now. They need to change their photo and description. A. Ok. Not the best, but not the worst. Overall, the flavor profile was on the sweet side. Price was VERY reasonable for the amount of food. For $35, I had plenty left over to make another 2 meals out of my order. The cashier was also super kind. I stopped by around 6:45 pm after dropping something off at UPS and was feeling lazy to go anywhere else, so I took the chance to try it out. The place was empty when I walked in. I took a chance and peeped the menu. Menu thankfully had some great choices, including pho, which is the first time I've seen pho at a teriyaki joint. I'll have to stop by again to see how their pho stacks up. I got the chicken katsu/teriyaki combo and the tempura dinner. Katsu was standard, while the chicken teriyaki was a little sweet for me. The tempura dinner had an awesome variety of veggies - sweet potato, carrots, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, and 2 shrimp. Would have been perfect had the batter been less sweet. Each order came with rice and a salad, both were cooked/prepared to standard. Overall this is a decent spot for quick, satisfactory food. Prolly not my go-to teriyaki joint but would stop by in a pinch. read more

I went here to go eat after shopping at the goodwill nearby and it was honestly pretty good. If I was close by I would come here again, but it wasn't mind-blowingly delicious. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but I don't really have any problems with this place. The prices did go up due to COVID and inflation, so that's a downside, but at least it's not like $20 for a plate of teriyaki, it was $10.99 I believe. Just +$1-2 to the menu you find online and that's pretty accurate. The staff was nice and it's just a little store close by. I have no issues with this place and think that if anyone was nearby, they should definitely check it out. read more

After trying a plethora of other locations, this is the best place I've ever been to for teriyaki. We always get the chicken teriyaki and the beef teriyaki's pretty good too. The Mongolian beef is so flavorful but feels very light to eat. I usually don't like beef, but wouldn't mind ordering it from this place! The portions are generous. The decor's not the best but it's not dirty either. The owner's super nice; she wished me a happy new year and even turned on the heater and placed it near my table since it was freezing out. I'll give it 4 stars since I've only tried the teriyaki and Chinese entree menu and can't speak for the other items. read more

The teriyaki and the yakisoba wasn't the best, but I'm giving one extra star for the customer service. The owner was very friendly. She made sure we had water to drink, and when my boyfriend went outside to take a phone call, she brought saran wrap over to cover his plate so his food would stay warm...never seen that before. I've been craving teriyaki for weeks and just decided to go to this one since I've seen it passing home. I came with my two kids and ordered a chicken bento box which was so delicious! Not only did she bring the bento box out she saw I had two kids and asked if I needed xtra plates and I said yes. The sweetest thing is she brought them out with rice in them so that my kids don't have to share the small scoop with me lol. It was such a nice gesture although my littlest one didn't eat much of it, this place definitely gained a customer by such nice service. The whole time my son ate he just kept saying "mom the food is good!" I'm so glad I choose this place to fulfill my craving & I'll be coming back! read more

Before I post this I want to say, I've only been once, and only had the Pho. So the teriyaki, sushi and whatever else might be phenomenal. The pho, however, is awful. I've eaten pho at probably 20 or 30 places from Olympia all the way to Seattle. The broth was a strange flavor I've never had in a Vietnamese place, and the meatballs tasted like they were straight out of a freezer bag. It was really bad. Seriously, go one block north to Pho Mau, the pho there is legit and the price is better. Or if you are headed south on 5, do yourself a favor and go to Pho Dragon on 38th in Tacoma, or Pho PQ on Bridgeport in Lakewood. read more

The staff (owners?) are very nice, but go for the Teriyaki. DO NOT go for the sushi. Their spicy tuna roll has an "off" flavor that hits you in the back of the throat. And the spicy sauce they use for it is Sriracha. X-[ Their teriyaki is decent though. I'd have preferred it to be spicier, but they never even asked how spicy. I was adequate. I can see why some people might not like this place (particularly the interior is kind of bland), but trust me when I say that the food is worth coming here. Great variety, with Bento boxes, Cali rolls, stirfrys, and bulgogi along with the regular teriyaki over rice. We got Bento boxes with chicken katsu to go which cost 10.95. I thought the chicken was going to be teriyaki because the menu wasn't very clear. It was still pretty good- we got salad, fried shrimp, and a bunch of california rolls and some chicken katsu that was a little dried out. It took a while for them to get 4 meals going but we were pretty happy with what we got. I need to eat in the restaurant before I give more than 3 stars. read more

Ordered take out. Inside appeared reasonably clean. Food was flavorful. Value was very reasonable. I had the well done Pho. The broth was very rich and clear which means fresh! Yum! My friend got the Teriyaki Pork and Chicken. He says the Teriyaki sauce was more rounded and flavorful than our usual place "Country Burger". Looks like we have a new favorite place. Mediocre teriyaki. The beef has no grill marks and was pretty chewy. The chicken was better but still not great. They skimp on the teriyaki sauce and what they gave you wasn't as flavorable as I'm used to. The salad was fine though like most teriyaki places it's mostly just lettuce. But the salad dressing was good, maybe the highlight of a 'meat meal'. You may or may not enjoy the religious programming on the radio. read more

I stumbled upon this place about 3 years ago while driving through Kent Washington. We have been there over a hundred times since. I am addicted to Teriyaki and am very picky about it and this place has hit my stomach and made it Happy again and again. Their menu is a combination of Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean. The menu is outstanding from top to bottom. The ingredients are extremely fresh, as well as large serving sizes and great prices. I got takeout from here for the first time. my husband ordered the beef fried rice and I got the well done chicken pho. both were very flavorful and had plenty of portion size. for those of you complaining the chicken was dry, its called well done for reason . which means it's supposed to be dry. if you don't want the dried chicken get the chicken teriyaki pho. problem solved. they have a lot of variety and I look forward to going back and trying more of their delicious food. read more

Cool place to eat. I also ordered the yakisoba and chicken here and it was delicious. It was the first time I had yakisoba noodle and the portion size was gigantic. I figured maybe it could of just been a issue with meat or something giving the resuruant the benifit of the doubt but when I went to talk to the lady behind the counter she couldn't of cared less.
