Needed to try the sushi while we were in Washington and this place was a special experience. We were the second table to walk in and it filled up very quickly after. We knew we made a right decision. We both had the bento box and the sushi and sashimi were very fresh and they offer an additional entree which was different from most places we have tried. It was nice to be able to have a variety of choices and for a great price! Service was super friendly and everyone was working together to make sure food came out promptly. Definitely a must try if you are in the outskirts of Seattle!

I've been to Miyabi atleast 6 times. My initial experience was that it was fresh, but the sizes of their sushi rolls are unorthodox. They make very large sushi rolls. So not expect a one bite experience. Hamachi was sour tonight but service was great.

Food, service, and ambience were excellent here. First of all, they have a "special" menu that I highly recommend you look at. Today they had grilled whole squid and other items on the specials menu. Secondly, hot green tea is complimentary here. Perfect, since that's what I wanted to drink anyways! Since I was craving sushi, I ended up ordering a "seafood jumbo" roll and the "sunny crisp" roll. Both were delicious, large, and filling!! I liked the seafood jumbo roll a little bit better but alternated eating the two rolls since I enjoyed the crunchiness of the sunny crisp roll. One of the reasons the rolls are so big is because they use big chunks of fish, and not those little bits size chunks either. The other reason is because they put crab salad in the two rolls that I ordered. Creative and effective. I liked how most of the rolls had tons of fish in the roll - if not on the inside, then the top! And the fish tasted fresh, not frozen. Last but not least the atmosphere here is hopping. I love how the majority of the staff seemed Japanese too, which is not easy to find at a Japanese restaurant these days. The staff is super friendly and efficient. I look forward to returning here when I come back to visit Seattle!

Tried this spot before we left Seattle, came hungry after a dance convention, wanted good quality in less wait time. Can never go wrong with Japanese Food! Service was excellent, tables were filled, yet we still got our food fast. We ordered Miyabi's Bento Box- a little pricey for me, was $29 for two items- back in California I can get a three item with same price, but quality was good, I opted for Tempura and Chicken Katsu. (I think it was good for what we ordered), the taste was good, tempura batter was not too thick, but then again, I'm spoiled in California! The rolls were also a little pricey, a dragon roll was close to $20 so that's why I got the Bento for almost same price. Overall, good flavors if you are in a hurry, want something quick and tasty.

Found this cute little restaurant after doing a nearby chocolate tour. It's a cute little restaurant that includes a sushi bar and several tables The selection of items is nice. Lunch specials includes a multiple option bento box - 2 choices for about $19. I got the tempura and sashimi. What a great meal! Servers are attentive and nice!

While visiting, I was craving for some good sush. Came across this place with an abundance of reviews. It's tucked in a plaza, ample parking until it's happy hour or dinner time. We got luck in both parking and walking in! We only waited for 5-7 minutes before sat at the bar. The good thing about 2 person is that you can squeeze in anywhere. It was a super busy evening and we had to wait quite a bit for our orders. I love salmon, so what better order than salmon on salmon? It was absolutely delicious! We also ordered some basic rolls for my boyfriend, he's simple. Even though they were basic, it was fresh and delightful. We ordered another salmon on salmon and shared it. I'll have to come back again and try other rolls!

food was like that of any other sushi restaurant in America. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I wish that there was that offjump offer of ginger and wasabi because it was only served with the rolls. Of course you can ask for more, but this is the first sushi spot that I have been to where they do not offer a little baby plate with your water beforehand. service was the best thing about this place as the staff was accommodating. Sam and I stayed a little past the closing hours, but did not realize because we were catching up on so much. The staff was so respectful of our space and still did their job to tidy up the restaurant. they politely reminded us of the open hours and did not kick us out lol ... so thank u to the staff for being so patient with us a bit crowded with the table placement, but quite a bit of people here on a weekday afternoon. it was very orangey and yellow overhead lighting , so not the nicest photos and the sushi roll presentation seemed a bit underwhelming compared to the photos on the menu. I do like the separation of each table booth with the white fan look. I thought that was a really unique touch and unlike any sushi restaurant that I have been to as usually they keep open spaces between tables

Good sashimi, beer and food specials and good service. Sat at the sushi bar and had a great conversation with the chef. Really good place with good food.

My family and I have been wanting to try a new sushi restaurant, and Miyabi just happened to be close to where we live! I've heard really great things about this restaurant from some friends, so I've been meaning to check it out for a while now. We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and there was no wait. Parking in the plaza can be a bit tight, since it includes other popular restaurants like YGF or Bai Tong. I loved the vibe of the restaurant -- it's small, cozy, and very home-y. The staff were super friendly. They checked in on us often and gave us many suggestions when we were trying to look at the menu. We ended up sharing a few apps and some sushi, and there were many highlights! My personal favorites included the crab cream croquette (I have a hard time finding these at any other Japanese restaurant and they're very nostalgic to me), geso karaage, and the geoduck butter. It was my first time having geoduck and I loved the texture and overall richness of the dish! In terms of the sushi, my favorite was the white tiger; the seared albacore was delicious! Miyabi has definitely been added to my family's rotation of places to eat, I'll definitely be coming back soon!

Every time we come it's always quite busy! It's a pretty cozy restaurant with both tables and bar seating. The tempura is super crispy and I feel has a bit more dough than other places. The rolls always taste really fresh and yummy. It was my first time trying the vegetable maki and I really enjoyed it--it's essentially veggie tempura wrapped in a roll and it's really filling and yummy. We've gotten the bento in the past and that's good too, but prices are definitely quite high here.

Food Fresh and tastes great, good portion for your buck. Service Although it was very busy the server was still attentive and serving with a smile. Ambience The area is kept clean, and the noise is average

Miyabi is our go-to spot for sushi. Yes, the prices are a little on the higher side, but the quality of the food and service more than make up for it. It's a cozy, authentic Japanese restaurant tucked near Value Village, and it never disappoints. I always appreciate when the staff speaks Japanese--it adds a layer of authenticity and makes the experience feel even more genuine. My regular picks are the bento boxes, nabeyaki udon, one of the chirashi bowls, or their delicious rolls. The sushi is consistently fresh, and everything we've tried has been flavorful and satisfying.

Always seem to stop by the place at least once during my visit to Seattle. Location is ideal, parking is a breeze, service on point. With limited space, the decor is cute, food quality up there. Only disappointment: no ankimo

The place is very small which makes sense since he only serve 1 group at a time. This might be my personal opinion but Because it's only one group, I hoped it would have been a little more interactive, like the chef could have explained his technique and skills while we were waiting or at least let us see what he was doing. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

Besides, family was coming in at SeaTac and we recently moved back to the Renton/Kent/Tukwila area so with the use of GPS, they'd be able to find the restaurant. We met together at the same time. The restaurant has changed considerably. Previously the menu included Korean dishes, but with new management, Korean fare was removed from the menu, much to our surprise. The Kalbi/Bulgogi was excellent and we would order a Bento-style box meal which included the Korean specialties. Though somewhat disappointed, the new menu provided so many new sushi choices, we were distracted from the missing preparations. The Sushi/Sashimi platter was our first order, to give us more time to peruse the great looking menu. Our initial order arrived which appeared so enticing with the fresh (raw) portions of buttery salmon, tuna, Ahi, Nigiri and a California Roll. Excellent! Then came the Sweet Dreams & Sounder rolls and Ikura (2-pieces) and a Special Agent roll. Least I forget to mention Asahi bottled beer (regular & non-alcoholic) to round off the meal. Due to not having the Korean ingredients, only four stars this time. The ambiance of the restaurant seems to have changed over the years. There were perhaps 10-12 other diners whereas during our previous visits the restaurant would be crowded and bustling with a cacophony of voices discussing menu choices. It was 5:00PM on a Saturday evening and crowds were usually expected. Service was excellent, the waiter was patient and provided lots of information about the new ownership & menu. The sashimi was fresh & tasty and sushi rolls were expertly prepared. Sushi Today continues to be highly recommended if you're in the Renton area.

The table wait was minimal and totally acceptable. The room was simple (a good thing), and the restaurant's popularity made for a busy but relaxed atmosphere. The sushi chefs are well trained and talented. Definitely recommend sampling their selections of sushi. You won't be disappointed. Five stars for this. Now for the grill part. Yakisoba is usually a grill item, as it's a stir-fried noodle dish, with it's distinctive Japanese flavor profile, and ingredients. Unfortunately, this was a miss. Though the soy-sauce coloring was correct, the flavor profile was not. The amount of beef in it was acceptable, but the other components were a miss. The only vegetable component was shaved-like slices of small zucchini which I could count with one hand. That seemed to treated more like a garnish, than a component of the dish. Had the grill-cook finished it with a drizzle of tonkatsu-sauce, it would've been closer to what was suggested on the menu. They should rename it "pan-fried beef-noodles" instead. Sure wasn't Beef Yakisoba. Other than that, table-side service was excellent, and the sushi was first rate. Just not the "yakisoba", cuz it wasn't. I will upgrade and edit this review if a few things are fixed.
