Great teriyaki tonight, even in the midst of a COVID-19 epidemic this place still delivers great food that's still warm when you bring it home via takeout. Some newer faces were present but that did not seem to impact the food we received, which was a breathe of fresh air to get food to-go that's made with passion as well as quality-my full tummy is the result of that. My Mom has the shrimp teriyaki (first time) and said it was very good, I may add. Very happy customer as well as family, keep up the great work Buck's!

I had the pleasure of eating at Bucks today. WOW service was amazing. Food was so good. I will be returning for some sushi and try a few more items on the menus.!! Great food for your money.

Pretty run of the mill teryaki place. I got the bento box. It all comes in Togo containers. The salad is just shredded cabbage... which I won't even eat because it's not a salad. I just gave it back to the dude. The dude by the way was super nice, very chill guy. Nothing bad to say about the dude at all. The bento box didn't fill me up to be honest. Shredded cabbage passed off as salad is just the worst corner cutting measure I can imagine, cmon now Bucks. It does say "open on sundays" on a big sign, which I found quite impressive and useful to know! For $23, I'd rather go get a bowl of pho or some thai. read more

DELICIOUS and HUGE portion sizes. the amount of chicken they give you for just 15-16$ is crazy. I understand why people like this place so much. also the customer service is top tier. I watched them greet, chat with, remember regular's orders, check in and ask if you need anything and thank each person for their visit. super kind, service is better than some formal dining that I've been to. they really pay attention and give their care. would definitely come back next time I'm here. even grabbed more to-go so I could have this for more meals LOL. highly recommend read more

It was just okay. Love the portions for the price! We got ours door dashed as well so it could be a different experience. - We got the chicken katsu/teriyaki pork plate. The katsu was not that great. It was actually REALLY super dry. It kind of looked like it sat out for a day, put in the fridge and refried or it was freezer dried. The sauce was good. The Teri pork was okay, it was just super thin, -we also got the Teri chicken / general tso's chicken. The Teri chicken was pretty good, HUGE portion of it. The General Tso's chicken was probably the best think we got from there. It was also a huge portion of it. It both came with a salad, and the dressing was really really good! If it wasn't for the huge portions we probably wouldn't go back here. We do want to try the other things though. read more

I cannot talk enough about this place. The portions are huge and the food tastes good as well. I have only ever ordered through DoorDash, but the food always arrives still hot. I always get pork teriyaki, fried rice, extra salad with extra salad dressing. We also get the gyoza and the fried wontons. I have never had an issue with this place. They are great!!0 read more

Bucks Teriyaki: I've been here a couple of times now. They are very consistent with the portioning and taste. I only got chicken teriyaki, but you get a bang for your dollar. Very nice portioning for the price. Customer service there has been excellent, they say hello and engage with you. The store is fairly clean. New favorite spot for teriyaki. The only thing negative is the area is not the most savory place. At night the parking lot can be a little sketchy, then again it's Kent East Hill area. Lol. Cars pulling in and out and parking super close to you. Peeps hanging out around the establishments there...Just be alert, and hopefully everyone should be good. read more

After decades of great food, this place has changed their staff and quality of ingredients, for the worse. The food doesn't taste correct, it is deflated, spongy, and has that reheated leftovers vibe. Gone is that fresh cooked meal. We loved this place for years and it breaks our heart to see it change like this. The chicken teriyaki was so bad this last time, it got dumped into the trash. We're done giving them chances to turn it around. Looking for a new place to support. read more

Ordered some spicy teriyaki chicken and egg rolls for delivery to the hotel. Chicken was fantastic, a bit spicier than I anticipated - BUT, the flavor was fantastic! My boyfriend LOVES his chicken teriyaki and he told me this is one of his favorite places in Kent. I finally got the chance to come eat here after him raving for months about this place! Walking in, you seat yourself and order your food at the counter at the back of the restaurant. There's a ton of selection for entrees but the menu was organized well. Super friendly service while ordering! I ordered the chicken teriyaki and food came out less than 10 minutes after my boyfriend and I ordered. The portion size was leaning towards the larger size, definitely filling. The chicken itself had great flavor and the teriyaki sauce complimented the chicken so so well. Entree came with this salad with a tangy but also a bit creamy dressing - surprisingly really good and I couldn't stop eating it as well haha. I flew up from California and have had Buck's teriyaki chicken 3 times on the visit. The service is outstanding! The owner is super friendly and welcoming! The serving size is generous! The chicken is perfectly cooked and the teriyaki sauce is out of this world! The rice is moist and the salad is an added bonus. I have never been so disappointed with take-out chicken teriyaki, rice and lettuce salad! The standard sweet and tangy sauce with pleasant salty umami zing was totally missing. The barely grilled chicken pieces were absent visual grilled markings typical for this dish and the normal shining glaze expected was absent. The teriyaki sauce too had no remarkable punch line. The mushy rice quantity was huge and could not be eaten. The lettuce salad dressing was tasteless and too gooey to mix with the greens. How in the world customers could rate this food higher is unbelievable. There are other Japanese Teriyaki restaurants in the area that pass the tests of flavorful looking and tasting dishes. This is not one of those. The "Bucks" stops Here! Never again. read more

The gyoza are bomb: crunchy and juicy. The sushi is stellar (especially for a Teriyaki place? How?!). The yakisoba is the best. Period. And their fried rice is... Okay their fried rice is an 8/10. That's right. Their WORST dish is still a solid B+, folks. Also just hang around for your order and talk with Josh. He's a super sweet and funny guy and will make sure your order is allergy-safe if you have special diet needs. read more

For the sushi, the tropical roll had a nice addition of mango, but the sweet chili sauce was a little too sweet for my preference, especially for a sushi roll. The Pacific Garden roll had fresh-tasting yellowtail, salmon, and tuna, and I enjoyed the crunch from the asparagus. However, one of my pet peeves is when menus list crab or crab salad in a roll, but it ends up being imitation crab/krab. I really wish restaurants were more straightforward about what they're using, especially because I enjoy real crab, but am not a big fan of imitation crab in sushi rolls. This restaurant used the words crab salad and I thought it meant that they still used real crab in it. The rainbow roll and edamame were just alright. The gyoza was also disappointing because it wasn't crispy and didn't have much flavor. Presentation was another thing that fell a little short for me. I wasn't impressed with the plating, especially with the random pieces of greens on the plate. Overall, the sushi and sashimi had some fresh components(the highlight), but there were a few things that missed the mark for me. Service was just okay and nothing particularly stood out.

I was a little confused when we ordered our sushi because when we sat down to dine in. The menu on the table was a bit different from the kiosk? Other than that, the seared salmon I ordered was good and the size of the salmon was a nice size too. The prices are for single nigiri and it's not bad. The restaurant is cute and underneath the new apartments there in Kent. There's lots of parking when we went, which was sometime after 5pm and there is some reserved parking for the restaurant as well.

It's located inside the Great Wall shopping mall, so parking was relatively easy to find and I was able to stay dry while waiting since the little store was indoors. Upon my arrival, they did not have my order and I waited another 15 minutes for my order to be ready. The poor staff was running around and rushed. It's also a very, very tiny place, with a narrow 4 person counter behind the line, and only 2 tables inside. They had placed some tables outside as well for patrons. I love menus that allow me to order varied items but also basic items like sashimi, and this place had both. They make a lot of different hand rolls that are packaged individually, as well as what's called a sushi donut (sashimi layered over donut shaped rice ball. It was such a fun and different way to eat sashimi. The food was fresh and really satisfying. The prices are pretty good too.

Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I'm used to eating very authentic Ramen when I lived in San Diego so this was a first for being in this area. It was a great portion size, beautiful presentation and everything tasted so good. I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. I probably wouldn't order that one again even though it was good, just lacked flavor and was a bit grisly. The service was outstanding. They are very kind and very attentive. The place is very clean. I tend to eat slow to savor my food, but I felt like the staff was overattentive and frequently stopped by my table to ask if everything was okay. Gave me the vibe that they needed to keep themselves busy or I was taking up a table. Might be great for other customers but it affected my experience with dining in; I usually finish my meals at restaurants but I felt rushed so I just ended up bringing the ramen home for my son, after the second or third time of them asking me if I wanted a takeout box. I'm still giving 4 stars just because the ramen tasted better than mediocre, less than spectacular. I just have high expectations for ramen and prefer more broth/topping variety (I was raised in Cali with options i dearly miss). Plus, I do like that they added a full egg for the ramen (instead of half an egg, like other restaurants I've been to) and the chasu portions were fair. I haven't tried any other ramen places in Federal Way (if there are any), but I guess if this is one of the better options (according to Yelp), it might be worth a shot to try out?

This restaurant is a lot bigger than other teriyaki restaurants with booth and chair seats, plenty of big or small tables, two TVs playing different sports, and it was the temperature was perfect. They have a big menu so it's easy to see the prices and their offerings, which consists of teriyaki, soups, Chinese food, sushi and bubble tea. Their prices are very reasonable and the upcharge on fried rice is the lowest I've seen but I think there's a reason for that (it's pretty bland). The cashier lady was efficient at her job but definitely could be friendlier and I wish she wasn't super snappy, there was no real rush and we were maybe their fourth order during that time. We opted to dine in and took our seat waiting for food. They have offer fountain drinks and bottled drinks, as well as water cups. We got our utensils and sauce cups first then our food arrived not too long afterwards. My boyfriend got their chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combo with fried rice while I got their chicken teriyaki and California roll combo. I love that they have steamed veggies as I like to enjoy any remaining teriyaki sauce with them. The California rolls were decent, not the best but not the worst either. The teriyaki sauce is pretty good, it is a great mix of sweet and savory. They are also very generous with rice as there was a bed of under my teriyaki and two scoops. My boyfriend enjoyed the katsu and the sauce that came with it was very delicious! The only issue we had was that the fried rice had no seasoning or color, I almost thought it was white rice with some veggies at first. Other than that, a solid teriyaki joint that seemed to have a good amount of people coming in to pick up orders for the most part.

Bucks Teriyaki is the best!!! We eat here almost every week! And the servings are so generous, the prices reasonable, the taste superb, the service fast, and the people nice!!! They have the best chicken teriyaki and california roll. My husband and I share a meal and we always end up very satisfied. My in-laws eat here too and LOVE it! Whenever we come here, they seem to be busy with mostly people calingl for take-outs. I don't think I can survive a week without Buck's. Their chicken teriyaki and california roll is way too addicting for me. You might find yourself always craving for Buck's. The portions are huge, ensuring you leave fully satisfied, and the flavors are spot on every time--delicious, fresh, and packed with taste. Food is great. A real bang for your buck! Portion vs price, big portion for what you pay. Chicken is juicy and full of flavor - sauced or not !! Sushi is more than I can ask, aesthetics = pretty & taste = delicious !! (made to order, had to ask). The cup of miso is a must , light but great appetizer. Service is great and speedy!! I love this place! their food is always great and actually comes in large portions. Some teriyaki places are just disgusting but this one is great. I love how everything tastes. I prefer to order chicken fried rice or the chicken and gyozas. Delicious! The customer service here is always fantastic too, they are always so friendly and have your food ready fast. My favorite part about this place is their salad dressing, its so good. I put it on my chicken as dressing sometimes. read more

She loves the chicken teriyaki but really it is all good we usually order the beef and chicken teriyaki with the salad extra sauce and 2 orders of the gyros. I need explore other places now, we been coming here for years but with the new owners things have changed to higher prices and less food. The amount of chicken seems to be getting less and less with each visit. Fried Rice (extra charge) was not even fried looks like they just added peas and carrots to white rice and call it fried rice. read more
