Scam. I bought coupons for detailing. Called many times for appointments. No returned calls until the coupon expired. and he's rude.

My car became undrivable before their loaner was available, so I had to bring it in early. At drop-off, I spoke with Mary Jean, who agreed over the phone that I could pay the repair balance in installments since I needed to use my savings to purchase a temporary beater car. Based on that agreement, I went ahead and bought an inexpensive vehicle and waited for the repairs. Once the work was completed, the entire agreement was suddenly denied. I was then contacted by Deb, who immediately began pressuring me to either pay the full balance upfront or sell my car to them at an extremely low and unrealistic price. When I refused, she informed me they would start charging $100 per month just to keep my repaired vehicle on the lot--something never disclosed in advance. She repeatedly referenced a supposed "normal" rate of $100 per day as if it were a threat, even though none of this was part of the original conversation with Mary Jean. The behavior felt strategic and manipulative, designed to corner me into selling them my car. When I arrived with the $2,000 I had borrowed from a friend, the visible shock on Deb's face said everything--she clearly expected I'd have no choice but to give in. The entire situation made me feel like they were taking advantage of someone they assumed couldn't push back. The store manager refused to speak with me by phone and insisted on email only, adding to the frustration. Throughout the ordeal, I received dismissive remarks, including being told I "couldn't be trusted" to pay--even though their last-minute changes were the only reason the situation escalated. I genuinely cannot understand how a business operates this way and stays open. Between the shifting terms, undisclosed fees, pressure tactics, and lack of basic professionalism, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with any repair shop. I would strongly advise others to avoid Olsen's entirely.

No metal pieces were bent, no frame damage, and even the A/C condenser survived with no damage. My normal repair shop was backed up with customers and didn't have room for me to have my car towed there, so I chose to have my car towed to Serra (then Bill Marsh) Body & Paint solely on their reputation, and they were one of the body shops that my insurance recommended. When I called them, they also had room and could accept my car right away. My insurance adjuster initially totaled my car, as it has over 200K miles and wrongfully thought that I would just want a check for the downpayment on a new car. Long story short, after I found out that AAA's initial damage estimate was less than half of the value of the car, they reworked the claim so the car would be repaired instead of being totaled. In the meantime, Serra (then Bill Marsh) Body and Paint was less than helpful. I received a FEW calls wanting to know when I was going to clean out my car so that it could be scrapped! It took over a weeks worth of calls and emails between me, them, and my AAA agent for them to finally get on the same page and tear the car down to get a proper estimate for repair. By this time, Bill Marsh Paint & Body was days before Serra was taking over, and they just wanted my car "off their books" according to Ron. I received yet another phone call from Ron stating that my car was totaled, and they needed me to clean it out so that it could be scrapped. I didn't even know they had looked at my car yet! They never went over the estimate with me, and when I arrived in person - once again they never discussed the estimate, they just stressed how much my car needed to be "off their books"! The person behind the desk finally printed up their estimate (over $11,000) which was nearly 3X the amount that AAA estimated, which was basically a "go away" estimate as they just needed my car "off the books" according to Ron. Mind you, this was after my car had been up there a month at this point, and a full TWO WEEKS after AAA agreed to have them repair the car instead of totaling it out. Do yourself a favor, and DO NOT waste your time bringing your car here for repair! If anyone from Serra corporate reads this, the BEST thing you can do to bring this body shop back to the reputation that it once had, is to eliminate the current employees that are dragging down that once good reputation. Personally, I wouldn't consider Serra Body & Paint a viable repair option until Ron, Bruce, and Jeff have been replaced with people who remember that the customer walking through the door is who keeps the lights on and the bills paid. As long as those three are still working there, I'd go somewhere where you'll be treated with respect, and valued as a customer. I'd HIGHLY recommend Fox Motors Collision Center, and Gerber Collision & Glass. I've had NOTHING but great experiences with both shops. We were ALWAYS treated with respect, (unlike Serra Paint & Body who treated us like second rate citizens), and their work was second to none.

They replaced calipers with rebuilt ones (why not replace with new calipers??)in which one caliper failed and caused premature wear on the pads and rotors. The pads were worn down to the metal forcing us to need another complete brake job on the rear brakes again (in 21,000 miles). They also did not properly run the brake lines or bleed them correctly. We attempted to work with Garfield Auto to come to a resolution but they were not interested in helping us. Very poor customer service and poor workmanship. I highly advise avoiding this Auto service center.

They did do a good job on the…read morerepairs and it was relatively inexpensive, but it was their putting everything back together that has me extremely t'd off right now. When the tires were put back on the lug nuts were tightened down so tight that they were nearly impossible to get off. Actually, one is so stripped I'm going to have to take it to A DIFFERENT SHOP to get removed. They obviously used the air ratchet to torque the bolts down. How do I know this, because I'm a 215lb adult male who had to stand on the freaking lug wrench and bounce to get them to turn ever so slightly. I shouldn't have to stand on the freaking lug wrench and bounce to get them to turn, I should simply be able to use arm muscle and body weight alone to remove the lug nut. What if my wife were had a flat in the middle of a no-cell reception area and had to remove the tire herself? She wouldn't have been able to that's for damned sure, and she should be able. Over tightening lug nuts can strip bolts, weaken the threads which can cause the wheel to come loose or off, or warp the brake rotor causing brake failure. All of which I'm sure Garfield Auto Center knows, but I mean we were a customer right, maybe what they do know they think that we don't know, maybe they think we will take our vehicle in for them to fix when this happens. I won't. My wife won't, again. And I'm hoping this review will cause you to think before you go to them. Maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a new guy working on the Jeep, maybe they were in a hurry to get to lunch or end their day and just used the air gun. Well, maybe my wife was taking my children to Grand Rapids for the day and lost a tire on US131 doing 75MPH. My families safety is more important than their excuse. I won't be back, and I won't recommend them to my friends, family, coworkers, or even my worst enemies.

I asked him for an estimate and he followed me out to my car. He then proceeded to touch the dent for a few seconds and then ask how many estimates I had had and how many I thought I needed which was rather condescending. Then he asked which insurance carrier I had and then proceeded to tell me it wasn't worth it to him to give me an estimate or work on my car because he didn't like their rates. This place was recommended to me by an acquaintance who said that she appreciated the fact that they were straight with her about some work she needed done but in review, they also told her they suggested she not have the work done for whatever reason. This business clearly isn't interested in actually working on cars but if you have any hockey footage you would like reviewed, I know a guy.

They also tried to attach my hood emblem with what looked like chewing gum and acted surprised when I pointed it out. They did remove the emblem and get me a new one after I complained. When I pointed out the misaligned panel to Gary the owner he shrugged his shoulders and mumbled how he wasn't sure how it went together so I told him I would fix it myself. I did not notice the other deficiencies until I had time to really go over it at home and did not ask them to fix them because I purchased the required parts and fixed them myself. Overall it's unfortunate because they did a nice job matching my paint and seemed friendly. If you have a mini van that you never wash and don't care about then I suppose you could do worse but like I said, if you like your car and expect it to look good then do not take it to Robinson's because you may be very disappointed like I am.
