They are very straight…read moreforward that they don't care what's wrong with the car, it's your job to evaluate it and decide if it's right for you. They aren't doing anything shady at all, but they did have a whole lot of very worn cars I would be afraid of. The unit I went to look at wasn't ready to show as far as I'm concerned. It had a leaking donut gasket in the exhaust, the cowl vents full of dirt and grass, and the console lid inside the car had been shredded. I didn't even ask them to get it out of the garage where I could drive it. I was looking at a big Buick, but they also had a super-clean Chevrolet Impala with a few more miles on it, but the car was in well-cared-for condition. I asked them to get that one out and we took it for a test drive and found nothing wrong with it but a "service air bag" light on, which we were willing to deal with. The suspension was still tight, the interior in blemish-free condition, a minor blemish on the rear plastic bumper cover, and the engine compartment clean. The motor was absolutely quiet, and running well, and so I left with a slightly younger Chevrolet than the Buick I thought I was interested in. Buyer beware on some of the units on this lot, but they are not misrepresenting them. It's the buyers responsibility to decide if a unit is right for them, and I'd encourage anyone to check carefully. They had some certified junk on the lot, but had some equally clean units in good condition. It all depends on what you want to pay, and how much car you expect to get for your money. Nothing about this transaction appeared to be shady, or in any way intended to misrepresent what they have to sell. They were courteous, kind, and professional in all parts of this transaction. I particularly like that they didn't even offer me an extended warranty, or try to add other charges into the transaction, such as dealer preparation, which I view to be taking advantage of the ignorant. It was cash-and-carry, and if it breaks they buyer gets both pieces. I've had the car in service for a week now, and I have discovered a minor transmission leak. At age 13 with 120,000 miles on it that's a little deal to me, and I'm satisfied with what I paid.

Mechanic lied about the vehicles condition, while standing next to the salesman. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe his is a really stupid mechanic, since he said nothing was wrong with the car except a "loose nut" on a random bracket. NOPE, it was a motor mount that came off while doing 65 on the freeway, almost killing my mother and older brother. I understand the 'what you see is what you get' policy BUT what about what you Can't See and then they LIE about it?? what about that?? This place needs its business license revoked because they sell vehicles UNSAFE for the road, Endangering People's Lives, and not just the person driving the piece of shit but other people in the other cars damaged by the UNSAFE car you bought from an unscrupulous dealer. I am reporting all of this to the BBB and the Texas attorney general. Your business practices are endangering peoples lives.

When we left CarMax of Plano the paperwork for car we wanted at CarMax of Garland was complete .... all we needed was to sign a few signatures and read over some documents...... When we arrived at CarMax of Garland , we were directed to business office immediately and was received by a nice young lady by the name of Melissa Huerta. Let me preference this by also saying that me and wife were dressed for the weather , it was cold out so we had on sweats. Mrs Huerta helped my wife get ready for the test drive , we test drove the car everything was amazing !!!! Upon arriving back to the Dealership after the test drive, myself and my wife were approached by Christian Gantes (Sales Associate) which introduced himself and Hawar Gerki (Sr Sales Consultant) Who said absolutely nothing to us about who was period. Then Christian stated that some information didn't come from the CarMax Of Plano, and we need to finish up some paperwork. Mind you , I said before arriving to CarMax Of Garland all the paperwork was complete, all we needed to do was sign for the car and read over everything. Hawar Gerki took my wife to has desk and basically interrogated her asking how she made some much money and literally reran all of her info...including ... job verification (again). At point I get pissed because clearly he is racial profiling us with a smile on his face. Mind you he hasn't stated the reason behind doing this or stated who he is to my wife. 45 minutes goes by he comes back to my wife saying it was a mix up and he is sorry..... all this after the paperwork with the car was complete on our end. Clear cut case of racial profiling. Bright note out this was Mrs.Huerta she was very professionally and needs to be promoted , she went above and beyond even offering to pay for dinner. Now , Hawar Gerki needs to be fired for work place profiling and harassment... completely unprofessional as customer I would never purachase a car from this location because he works there. And I'm going to file a formal complaint against him.

They use a "pay ahead" system that doesn't allow you to pay down your principal, and then try to scam you with "accrued finance charges" if you try to put that pay ahead amount down on your principal. I've never had such a bad time with a credit loan in my life. The customer service reps are also rude and generally incapable of explaining what's even going on with your loan. You have to ask for a manager to even get understanding.

From what I see on their website the cars are all priced somewhat lower than I would expect from a dealer. This is quite concerning. IF a dealer is buying and re-conditioning a solid car, they will be in the ballpark of most other value dealers. IF they are purchasing and polishing problem cars, THEN they can sell them lower, BUT you will be getting a problem car. No problem car is worth $2000 off retail as you can easily spend $3-4 thousand fixing issues. BE very wary of purchasing a car from a dealer at a "Great Price". Also be very wary of dealers that tack on huge documentation fees or Prep fees. Sometimes the fees can add up to near $1000. Be very clear about the Total price you are going to pay, BEFORE signing anything. Make them sign a simple piece of paper showing the turn key, out the door price. Do not get fooled. Many are in business to separate you from your money. Be careful.

It had to be towed first to my home and then to a BMW service shop. The technician informed me that the engine has major issues and that the repairs will be extremely expensive. The owner of Classic Car Sale LLC assured me that the vehicle was in "top condition." He claimed it had been inspected and serviced by a mechanic and that there were no problems. When I noticed oil underneath the car, he told me it was just "residual from the last oil change." After the breakdown, I asked him when the oil had last been changed, and he admitted he didn't know. After reading reviews, I discovered that he has used the same excuse about "residual oil from the last oil change" with other customers as well. Once I emailed him about the condition of the car, he stopped responding and did not return my calls. This seller is not to be trusted. He will say anything to make a sale, even if it's completely untrue. I later checked Yelp and found over 12 one-star ratings and an overall score of just 2.3 stars. I should have done my homework. The car did come with a small service warranty, but after reading the fine print, it will only cover a fraction of the repair costs. STAY AWAY if you value your time and money. The vehicle is getting repaired. Total bill $6600 My out of pocket $5600 That is what I get for dealing with dishonest Johnny.
