    Chevrolet Suburban
    Kasey C.

I had a great buying experience on August 27th 2020. I i had been researching the perfect vehicle and this specific one came up every time. I called and was allowed to hold the vehicle and given an appointment time. The ladies who helped with that process were really personable and professional. I purchased the 2016 Chevy suburban and my salesman, Abdul, was professional, attentive and knowledgeable. He was clear about each step in the process, so I never had a question about what to expect or do next. He was quite the salesman. I will recommend your location and Abdul to everyone.

It was our first time using CarMax & we truly can say it was an excellent experience! Logan & Sara gave us knowledgeable & friendly service & went the extra mile. CarMax's Motto is no haggle...was such pleasure. Not having to give up a day of your life to buy a car, a relief!

    Broken rear wiper glued together

I purchased my Nissan Quest on 02/26/20 and the back up camera did not work . I was told to take the van to service and everything would be fixed . The next day 02/27/20 I was able to bring my can to service and gave me my first loaner car. After having the loner for almost a week I found out the car horn did not work . Which was only apparent because I couldn't honk my horn when trying to avoid a car accident . Thankfully the other car noticed he was about to hit me and slammed on the brakes before he hit me . I called him and left a message on 03/03 stating I needed another car and why. Now , I understand that the service department was closed when I initially called however , I left 4 voicemails the next day and multiple calls before I got him to answer the phone to switch out the car. He did have a van waiting for me when I got there that night 03/04 but it was a hassle to drive form South Dallas almost Duncanville to Garland. On 03/05 the service advisor stated the car was ready for pick up and he would leave the keys with the business office .However when I went to pick up the van you could visibly see that the vendor the damaged the head liner ( hanging and stained ) , punctures in the right rear door , broken rear wiper that was glued back together ,scratches in the interior of the rear hatch ( where the back up camera panel is ), and there is a hole in the floor board. Friday night I drove down to the service department to exchange my loaner for a more gas efficient car and the van had not moved since Thursday night. I was able to confirm that my advisor advisor Carlos did in fact come to work that day but didn't call me back . I left the car there that night due to the damages and poor workmanship and since then I have wrote 3 emails that included pictures , and left multiple messages regarding the damages and my service advisor has not called me back . My Van is still currently still at the dealership and as of 03/09 after 12:30 pm I have not had any communication since Thursday night around 5pm . Please avoid purchasing a car from Carmax if there are any repairs needed. Apparently their " techs" are incapable of diagnosing a faulty audio unit and the vendors used are terrible. Plus apparently if there is an issue that was caused there they avoid all communication with the customer

They aren't doing anything shady at all, but they did have a whole lot of very worn cars I would be afraid of. The unit I went to look at wasn't ready to show as far as I'm concerned. It had a leaking donut gasket in the exhaust, the cowl vents full of dirt and grass, and the console lid inside the car had been shredded. I didn't even ask them to get it out of the garage where I could drive it. I was looking at a big Buick, but they also had a super-clean Chevrolet Impala with a few more miles on it, but the car was in well-cared-for condition. I asked them to get that one out and we took it for a test drive and found nothing wrong with it but a "service air bag" light on, which we were willing to deal with. The suspension was still tight, the interior in blemish-free condition, a minor blemish on the rear plastic bumper cover, and the engine compartment clean. The motor was absolutely quiet, and running well, and so I left with a slightly younger Chevrolet than the Buick I thought I was interested in. Buyer beware on some of the units on this lot, but they are not misrepresenting them. It's the buyers responsibility to decide if a unit is right for them, and I'd encourage anyone to check carefully. They had some certified junk on the lot, but had some equally clean units in good condition. It all depends on what you want to pay, and how much car you expect to get for your money. Nothing about this transaction appeared to be shady, or in any way intended to misrepresent what they have to sell. They were courteous, kind, and professional in all parts of this transaction. I particularly like that they didn't even offer me an extended warranty, or try to add other charges into the transaction, such as dealer preparation, which I view to be taking advantage of the ignorant. It was cash-and-carry, and if it breaks they buyer gets both pieces. I've had the car in service for a week now, and I have discovered a minor transmission leak. At age 13 with 120,000 miles on it that's a little deal to me, and I'm satisfied with what I paid.

Mechanic lied about the vehicles condition, while standing next to the salesman. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe his is a really stupid mechanic, since he said nothing was wrong with the car except a "loose nut" on a random bracket. NOPE, it was a motor mount that came off while doing 65 on the freeway, almost killing my mother and older brother. I understand the 'what you see is what you get' policy BUT what about what you Can't See and then they LIE about it?? what about that?? This place needs its business license revoked because they sell vehicles UNSAFE for the road, Endangering People's Lives, and not just the person driving the piece of shit but other people in the other cars damaged by the UNSAFE car you bought from an unscrupulous dealer. I am reporting all of this to the BBB and the Texas attorney general. Your business practices are endangering peoples lives.

The temporary tags expired 7 days ago and the best information I have received today is, "We'll have to have another department call you back sometime today". So, the continuing responsibility of the dealership after the purchase has been made is very poor. On another note, the payment service Drive Casa uses for electronic payments is archaic at best. You can't find a Website for PAYNEARME that allows you to access your account. You have to click on a receipt in your email to get to it. You can't update Debit Card information on the page. You have to call the service provider and cancel auto pay completely and then go back and reenter everything all over again. So, if you're looking for ease of access and the ability to compliant with State Law that requires current registration I would seriously reconsider using Drive Casa. Good Luck.

If I could give this dealership zero stars, I would. This has been one of the biggest financial…read moremistakes I've ever made, and I genuinely wish I had walked away before signing anything. The sales staff had no problem calling me repeatedly until I bought the car. The moment the paperwork was signed, it became nearly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. Calls go unanswered, messages aren't returned, and when someone does answer, you're put on hold or transferred around until you eventually give up. I've never experienced customer service this bad. I was sold a vehicle that began having serious issues almost immediately. The AC has problems, the brakes and rotors were already damaged, and the catalytic converter was damaged before I purchased the vehicle. Before the sale, I was told they would take care of the catalytic converter. After the sale, that promise disappeared. Instead, I was contacted with a repair quote, expecting me to pay for damage that already existed. To make matters worse, they refused to provide a Carfax before I purchased the vehicle. Looking back, that should have been my biggest warning sign. I took my vehicle in for service on May 2, and trying to get an update has been a nightmare. No one answers the phone, no one communicates, and no one seems to care once they've made the sale. They advertise free oil changes, but that's meaningless when you can't even get someone to answer the phone to schedule one. On top of all of this, the interest rates are extremely high, leaving you paying thousands more while also being stuck with repair bills. Instead of enjoying the car you just purchased, you're left wondering what will break next and how much it's going to cost. This dealership made me feel like I mattered only until they got my signature. After that, I was treated like an inconvenience. Do your homework before buying here. Read every negative review because I wish I had. If you're considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. A lower monthly payment or easy approval isn't worth the stress, the repair costs, the lack of communication, or the regret that comes afterward.
