No food served here but the ciders are amazing. What a verity of different flavors. The bartender doing the tastings was very versed in what she was pouring. Get the $20 tasting pass and do the desert wines, and wine tasting as well. The building felt brand new clean open and just a fun time read more

We LOVED visiting the Apple Barn on our trip to Pigeon Forge. We did the free cider tasting and then we picked a cider to have and sat outside to enjoy it. We also got some fresh fudge from the Candy Apple and Fudge to share while we took in the amazing weather and views. They also have a General Store on property and we went in there after we had our cider to buy some treats, like apple butter and apple cinnamon bread, to take back to our friends and family in Florida! This location is so pretty and was one of the highlights of our trip. read more

As far as cider places go, it's ok. Not a huge selection, but what is here is good. Go ahead and try the spicy ciderita, not really spicy, to me, but good pepper flavor. One drawback to me is everything to go is glass bottles or growlers, no cans anymore. I just prefer cans when traveling. Be sure you get Denise at the tasting bar though, she is great. Super friendly and very helpful. read more

We went for the rocky top free wine trail (which isn't really that free but still worth it and fun). We really really liked it. I don't really like cider but my bf does and we both liked it. We ended up doing to bundle for $20 where we got 12 wines and 2 wine slushies at apple barn winery, 13 ciders and 2 slushy at apple barn hard cider, and 5 wines at the dessert wine shoppe and we got a shot glass and wine glass with some of the tastings included too. I would definitely recommend it! It was fun! read more

We recently stopped by Apple Barn Hard Cider. We have not been since they have moved into a beautiful new large building. Their old spot has changed into hard slushies. We decided to pay for the premium tasting to try all flavors. Flavors: *Sip Gingerly (ginger) - I remember this one from before. It is definitely strong in ginger, and similar to a gingerale. *The South (green apple) - this one was just okay. *Honey Basil (honey & basil) - I didn't care for the basil, so I was not a big fan. My husband liked this one more than me. *Red Lemonhead (strawberry lemonade) - this one was good, tasted exactly as described, just like a strawberry lemonade. *Bluebarb (blueberry & rhubarb) - this one has always been my favorite, and it is still my favorite. *Simply Muscadine (muscadine) - this was very strong in muscadine, but it was still enjoyed. It was my husband's favorite of the day. *Midnight Blue (blueberry) - this one was just okay. *Blissful Berry (raspberry & rhubarb) - this one was just okay. *Blood & Roses (blood orange & rosemary) - I did not enjoy this one as I did not like the rosemary in it. My husband liked this one more than me. *Sweet Caroline - a nice, sweet cider that I really enjoyed. *Hop Zen (grapefruit) - this one was just okay. Favorites for me were Bluebarb, and Sweet Caroline. The only dislikes - they don't carry all of the ciders in bottles, some are only on tap and can be filled in growlers, which is not great for traveling to have at a later date. Like another reviewer stated, I preferred when they did cans, sometimes you just don't want a full bottle. I did not care for the service, it was just over the top, show like and sales pitch like throughout the tasting - join our club, buy this to get that, etc. It was a turnoff and did not make me enjoy the tasting. I would still recommend to stop by if you are in the area to try some hard cider! read more

Went on vacation & was visiting Tennessee from Maryland. During the week we were there we visited this Cider House along with their sister wineries and it was an amazing experience! If you participate in their pour trail by visiting 3 locations you get a free wine glass & if you visit all 5 locations you get a free tumbler. All the locations are very close to each other and were very easy to do in an hour or so. The Cider House was very cool and had a bunch of good deals on merchandise. A'Leashia, one of the employees was very helpful when we were doing our sampling! read more

I'll start by saying I LOVE apple cider! This was a fun place to visit. I wish I could give 5 stars, but a rude coworker in the candy department laughed at me when I asked questions. I don't appreciate being laughed at. I love the atmosphere in the apple barn grounds. There are a few restaurants and a store on the grounds. We would have loved to see how cider is made, but no one was making cider when we were there. read more

Mindy was phenomenal when we did our tasting at the Cider Mill, she had some amazing recommendations and even gave us tons of info on the wine trail that was going on! We loved the experience she created so much that we came back the very next day, and it was even better! They had live music outside, it was a lovely atmosphere and everyone was having a phenomenal time. I will absolutely be coming back when we travel again! Also-- the restaurant next door was amazing!!! Laura was an amazing server and we loved every minute there! Fun fact-- they do military discount too! Definitely worth the trip read more

Had Denise as our server and she was wonderful. We tried all nine and they were all really good. The spicy one was very interesting, it was spicy but it had the pepper notes for sure. The 100% muscadine was deeeeelicious. The honey basil was really good too. Didn't really care for the blueberry rhubarb one. Real cute arrangement of stores back where this is set at as well to include a winery, candy store, restaurant and cider place with fried apple pies that were delicious. read more

This place is the bomb. The folks behind the counter are friendly and knowledgeable and the hard ciders are delish. We tasted all 10 and came home with 3 bottles. Be sure and stop next door for a donut or fresh apple hand pie. read more

I finished the Rocky Top wine trail today! My favorite stop was the apple barn cider house. I liked it so much yesterday, I came back today and bought 3 bottles. Besides the fun cider, the employees seem to enjoy what they do, and are happy to serve! Yesterday, Alicia served me, and today Denise helped me. Both ladies are sweet and lots of fun!! read more
