The Apple store in boca has blossomed from being a tiny store next to mayors over the last decade into a huge full fledged flagship store in the boca town center. As usual it is super busy and crowded from open to close. The employees are extremely polite and helpful who wouldn't with the amazing products that they sell. My recommendation is to take an appointment if you have problems with the product. If you are looking to but a new iPhone and/or ipad usually walking in and out with the product takes less than 5 mins. read more

I came today with an appointment to see what was wrong with my computer. I was unfortunately 5-10 minutes late due to a traffic jam on 95 but they were still able to get me with a genius member within 10 minutes despite my appointment time being expired. The gentleman, Xavier, was really helpful and tried a few things before letting me know he would be going to the back to open it up and see what was going on. He came back relatively quick and gave me the bad news that basically it would cost $750 to repair because of water damage. The insides were all corroded and there was nothing else to do about it. He was really nice about it and let me know that I could try going to a third party to see what they could do. He said I could think about it and bring it back whenever if I wanted to have it repaired. I didn't feel rushed or anything and he was really helpful. I use my computer quite frequently for work and personal use so I ultimately decided that I would buy a new one. I went over to the sales floor and was asked a couple times if I needed help and I asked a few questions but just really needed time to figure things out. Once I was ready for actual help and to make a purchase I was helped by a really nice gentleman I didn't get the name of. I was going back and forth quite a bit and asked a lot of questions and he was ready with an answer for all of them and had a lot of knowledge on each computer. He was very honest and wasn't pushy about the sale or trying to get me to go with anything more expensive. I ended up with a Macbook Pro and am very happy with it. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS AND REPAIRS ELSEWHERE. (Read to the END to see why) The overall summary of this review is simple...go to the Apple Store at Wellington or Gardens Mall. I went to this store location last night (Oct 26) with a phone that has been glitching for a couple days, getting worse each day. The term they used for the issue is "Unexpected Touch" which is when the phone acts as though it is being used or touched although no one is touching it. I was waiting in line and the young man that was handling customers was eagerly helping the girl in front of me. Once she was moved to a different spot in line I stood for upwards of 10 minutes waiting for him to even say something to me. He finally asked me what's wrong and I told him. He moved me to a place in line and I was off to see the next person. After waiting a little bit a young lady came to help me and brought me to a table. She went through the diagnosis process and told me this was a common issue with the IPhone X and that I needed a new screen. Since mine was already cracked she said I would have to pay $279. I understood and agreed to the cost of repair. She was nice enough to check and see if it could be fixed that day. She came back saying it could and said come back in 30 mins. I went back at that time and they said my phone was ready. ("great!" Right?? Ugh...no) they told me the screws to open the phone were stripped and they could not fix my phone. I was offered a chance to buy a phone. I declined so I could make a decision about it. As I got home I remembered that I have NEVER gotten any work don't on my phone; THEREFORE, the only crew of Apple techs that could have touched my phone was this store. Also, my screws were no longer recessed into the phone and were risen, showing that they were indeed lifted and unscrewed yesterday at the store. THEY WERE AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS DAMAGED SCREW. I did not bring my phone in with damaged screws nor risen screws. Yet I was given the phone back in that condition. The next day (today) I went to the store to bring this to their attention. I spoke to the manager who called upon the Genius Bar employee (the same guy from yesterday) who told me they did not damage the phone. I showed him the risen screws and stripped screw, he again said it's not their fault and was quick to tell me he has other things to do and that's all he could do. DONT GO HERE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I found the black-shirted, tattooed men, who, after finding someone who would actually talk to me, and after answering their questions as to why I was there and then telling me which line I should stand in, to be like I was in the military. Then, someone comes up to me and without asking, sticks a thermometer on my forehead. I did not like that. I took all of this without saying a word as to how provoking this was. Finally, a girl comes over and lifts the barrier and allows me the privilege of taking three steps into the store to talk to a sales person. He asked me nicely, why I was there. I told showed him the Apple Watch on my wrist and said that I was interested in seeing and possibly purchasing the new model. HE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! If I could rate it NO STARS I would. If you have NO OTHER choice and have to go to THIS location, make sure LISBET is not the Manager that day. When she is there, the good sales people work around her. But be careful, if she is there and she approaches you for any reason, walk away. She will give the run around, ask you questions as if you were a moron and treat you like you are a criminal who came to invade her precious little kingdom. And in our case, that was to just do a simple iPhone SE transaction. As a brand loyalist since the time of the Machintosh, a certified FCP X editor, a MacBook tester for one of the largest colleges in the nation and as someone who has had the ability to procure Apple hardware and software for learning institutions, I am angry and saddened that we had to walk away without a purchase just because of Lisbet and her inability to listen, offer solutions and make sure we left the store happy. To add insult to injury, our 1-800-MYAPPLE customer experience afterwards was no better when Melissa, a Senior Advisor, handled our complaint call and all the resolution we got was to "write" a letter to "maybe" get a response. Very disappointed in this store. I had Items that I brought in to get fixed and before sending them out I wanted to know how much this repair would cost. Nothing was wrong withe the way they worked it was more of a cosmetic repair. So if it's too much then I would just keep 'em the way they were. I've been needing to get a new MacBook Air so last weekend I decided to make that happen. First I went to Best Buy but customer service wasn't great there and they couldn't tell me if they could or would transfer data to my new laptop. Just decided to go to the Apple store in Boca. I was greeted by Jason when I first walked in. He was really friendly and welcoming. As I was looking for the air, Silas stopped by and asked if I needed help. This Apple Store location is always busy. Even on the website, when there's many appointments available, it's still busy in the store. There are times, you can't even book a appointment today and/or tomorrow. I made an appointment cuz my phone wouldn't update and wouldn't do a lot of things (cuz it was not updated). You have to make an appointment if you help from Genius Bar! Depending how busy it is, you're waiting at least 15-25 minutes in the waiting area. One the guys helped me (forgot his name) and was able to update my phone through the laptop (my iTunes wouldn't let me update my phone so either way i had to come here for help). We had good conversation and he was able to help some people on the side like exchanging for charger while we were waiting for my phone to be updated. He also told me you can exchange your broken earphones and charger for new one for free under your 1st Apple product warranty unless you buy apple's warranty. That's pretty good deal. Luckily, I had broken earphones and a charger in my car. I grabbed those from car to be exchanged. He told me next time if I need help, he'll try the same method or different method to fix my phone. I came out satisfied; my phone was fix and updated, and got a new earphones and a charger. read more

Because of this store im out the apple cult. Won't see me buying another Apple Product again after this, replaced my phone with defective phones, most of the workers have attitudes with the exceptions of some, along with discrepancies between what Corporate tells me on the phone and how the store operates. A tech today (african american starts with an A, nice yet visibly annoyed by my presence or that i had a problem) flat out told me she refused to answer my question about why they gave me a defective phone, and then told me to return the phone, yet they took away the phone, So i can't return it to the carrier I ordered from. That makes no sense and she wouldn't say why.If you don't know then say you don't know but refusing to answer a question is poor customer service especially when it was a fair question like that. Because of this store I guarantee this iPhone 13 mini will be the last iphone I own, as Apple has really fallen off. Also the girl with the pink hair got very defensive when I explained my issue and told me to go sit down in a wooden chair mid sentence like i was a kid on timeout because she was annoyed and didn't want to hear about my problem anymore. That's how you treat customers but I'm supposed to pay for $700 phones and $400 watches? $1,000+ computers and laptops and that's how you treat customers?? LOL i'm out.... There was one guy who was excellent and he knows who he is because I told him he has excellent people skills and he needs to train the rest of his coworkers how to deal with people. Rude, Dishonest and Condescending After waiting an hour, despite having an appointment, I was told that they could not diagnose or repair my 6 plus and that it might be the battery but they did not have replacement batteries in stock. I should take it home and try to charge it again. If it shows signs of life, to come back again and they would order a battery which would require a third visit and 3 hours to install. If it didn't charge at home, i was told it wasn't worth fixing and i should throw it away. I walked 5 doors down to a phone repair kiosk and they diagnosed and replaced the charge port,(OEM) in 15 minutes for $59.00. Manage then told me i voided the warranty the doesn't exist any more. Tim Cook just paid himself 120 million last year and they are training their employees to lie to customers. Apple sucks. read more

Have two IPhone 7 that stopped working now both are showing NO SERVICE. Took to the apple store in Boca Raton they tried to charge me more than 300 to fix each iPhone, the apple website shows that some models have a bug or something and they are fixing the phones for free. The manager tried to make me feel that he is so nice that he was fixing the phone for free. The true is they should have had a recall on the model since they already know that the phone is defective. Shame on you Manager trying to show off as a nice person probably if the person doesn't say anything he would charge more than $300 for something that is free. read more

My 2017 MacBook Air wouldn't turn on. I tried every trick in the book including steps that apple support instructed me to do... but nothing worked. I made an appointment, went in and was seen. The tech guy tried the same steps I did, but still nothing. He then told me I would have to leave my computer for them to run tests to determine what is wrong with it. (Note it is a 2017 and in perfect condition- his words). They called me an 1.5hr later stating they tried a list of things but cannot figure out what's wrong and why it won't turn on and my 2 options are to either send it out to replace the logic board for $500 or get a new one for $1000. I opted out of both and decided to take it to a local electronic store that fixes issues - uBreakiFix. I explained the issue to them and left my computer with them to get a diagnostic done. 2 hours later they called me saying Nothing was technically wrong with it and it just needed to be opened to receive a "power flush". Lo and behold it's fixed and working perfectly for $48. The Apple store techs didn't even open the computer up to determine what the issue was. They just pressed a few buttons and determined I would need a complete replacement just to get me to pay $500-$1000 , what a SCAM! I Will never go back to an Apple store again. Note- the techs were extremely nice but don't know what they're doing.. or they do and are trying to take advantage of people! read more

Extraordinarily poor consumer experience: 1. They consistently run a minimum of :15 late for Genius Bar appointments. 2. I have heard on multiple occasions, to myself and other customers, "The cost is $XX, but we'll just take care of that for you". Instead of rousing a feeling of delight (perception you are getting something for free), it generates a sense of obligation. More than anything, it's just smugness. 3. Lots of chatter amongst employees. 4. Reminds me of the old international terminal at MIA - lots of people, no lines, many different languages spoken, too warm, general chaos. 5. Back door (employee only access to the secret lair) is constantly slamming and covered with scuff marks - this place needs a coat of paint. 7. A lot of, "It'll just be a few minutes", then that employee leaves and you're left wondering who is going to assist you next. Poor transition in customer hand-off. 6. Employees are smug, entitled, condescending hipsters. The remind me of this joke - Q: How many hipsters does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: It's a really obsure number, you've probably never heard of it. I could provide specific examples to make my point, but above details are pretty clear. Okay, I'll give you one for good measure: I walked behind the Genius Bar and retrieved my MacBook myself, in full view of employees and customers, because I was tired of waiting for a "Genius" to hand it to me. There was a time when I received cash back for a Shuffle I was returning and didn't have the receipt - imagine that, cash NOT a store credit! I was utterly delighted! Clearly, those days are long gone. Consumer experience could be significantly enhanced if Apple would double their square footage and dedicate one side to sales and one side to service. While I'm a total fan of Apple products, I'm not always a fan of their stores. I've had some very mediocre to definitely bad experiences. The only really outstanding one that I've been to was in Buenos Aires, where you don't need an appt., service is fast, friendly and accurate. However, it's a bitch of a commute. This store is the best one that I've been to here. They've found solutions to problems with my Mac that the others couldn't track down and also kept me from making a terrible mistake that was recommended by a "genius" in the Galleria store. They also seem to run more closely to your actual appt. time than some of the others. Today we went to exchange a Christmas gift. Since it was a gift, I had no receipt or purchase information, but it only took a few minutes before it was done and we were on our way. They always have plenty of staff and they are well organized. I'm going to quit going to the other location, even if it is a bit closer, and just go to this one. read more

01-09-20222 l went to apple store Boca Raton this afternoon to buy an ipod pro car charger. when l got there l saw a line in front of the store , l asked a security if l had to wait on line just to buy a charger and he said yes. Then l went to the line and when it was my turn the apple employee asked me what l was there for l told him l wanted to buy a charger so he pointed the other employee that was coming saying he'ld help me, the other employee passed by me and asked people that were behind me how he could help them, those people weren't even on line they were approaching the store outside the rope. l was paciente and waited them finish talking but then he asked another group of people if they needed help pretending he didn't see me, so l asked the first guy that l talked with if that guy was going yo help me or not and he frowned his forehead and said he was supposed to .. that's wall they didn't care. So l left the store without the charger and l guess l'll have to buy an aftermarket charger fir my ipad and everybody knows that aftermarket accessories don't work good with apple products. honestly l didn't get that. Is it because l was buying only a charger. I'm not a millionaire but l've been buying all my stuffs from apple . Macbook, my iphone, wife's iphone, ipad pro, ipad mini, apple watch. This is the worst Apple Store I have ever been to. Their process for checking customers in for their appointments is the suckiest thing I've ever experienced. Why would there be a line to do that?! Waiting in the damn line itself can make a person late. There's so many people standing around doing nothing , they don't even greet people here! I got a greeting once because an employee overhead me telling my friend how bad they are just staring at people with their hands in their pockets instead of greeting and pointing me in the right direction.
